France, the destination with the worst cost-effectiveness... Where is the best?

Travel research specialist Consumer Insight unveiled the results of comparing the cost and satisfaction of overseas travel by country in 2023, which contained such content. Consumer Insight compared the daily travel cost ranking (A) and the travel satisfaction ranking (B) to create a cost-effectiveness index (C) and compared them. The meaning is that the higher the '+' value, the higher the cost-effectiveness, and the larger the '-' value, the lower the cost-effectiveness.

According to Consumer Insight, Japan and Thailand ranked first as destinations with excellent cost-effectiveness for 'low cost, high satisfaction'. Japan (20th in travel cost - 6th in satisfaction) and Thailand (26th - 12th) had the highest cost-effectiveness index (+14) among 27 countries. Australia (+8), Indonesia (+8), Vietnam (+8), and Spain (+7) were also recognized as countries with excellent cost-effectiveness.

On the other hand, France was selected as the destination with the lowest cost-effectiveness (-16). The United States (-13), Hawaii (-12), and the United Kingdom (-9) were also classified as destinations with poor cost-effectiveness. Although the daily travel expenses of these countries ranged from an average of 350,000 to 450,000 won, they all fell into the middle to lower rankings (13th to 20th) in terms of satisfaction.

Destinations with high costs but high satisfaction included Switzerland, Italy, and New Zealand. These countries had the highest rankings in both travel cost and satisfaction.

When converted to daily costs, Hawaii was the most expensive at an average of 458,000 won. Switzerland (411,000 won), France (408,000 won), Italy, and the UK (each 390,000 won) also had high daily travel costs. On the other hand, the Philippines was the lowest at 199,000 won, and Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia were all in the low 200,000 won range.

-I want to go to Thailand again.

-I ended up going around Southeast Asia again. Vietnam and Thailand are the best.

-I like France........

-Australia was really nice.

-Australia was nice because I saw dolphins and penguins.

-Australia was nice, Taiwan was not.

-Switzerland was so nice.

-Spain is really awesome... Good weather, reasonable prices, and the food is great.

-Spain was really really really nice.

-France smells, there's a lot of racial discrimination, and it's unfriendlyㅠ I've lived in Europe so I've traveled a lot in Europe, but France sucks.

-Thailand was so nice that I went three times, but Hawaii wasn't that great... Instead of going back to Hawaii, I thought it would be better to go to Boracay.

-I liked France better than Switzerland... When I arrived in Switzerland on the first day, I was like "Wow, amazing," but as time went by, I lost interest, it was expensive, the food was bad... The worst place was the UK, but again, the place I wanted to live the most in Europe was the UKㅋㅋ

-I didn't like Switzerland the most, but I liked France... Even if you don't spend money and just walk around, it's great to see the Eiffel Tower, buildings, and the river.

-Switzerland, high cost, high satisfaction, agree ㅋㅋㅋ Rented a house in Grindelwald, cooked, hiked, paraglided... It was heaven but very expensive.

-I really liked France... If you give me money and tell me to live anywhere for a month, I'll definitely go to Paris.

-I'm traveling in Spain right now, and I'm extremely satisfied.

-Travel is half about the weather, so UK loses as soon as you go there. Spain has good cost-effectiveness.

-Spain is awesome.

-Switzerland is insane, the cost of living is insane, the views are insane... Everything here is expensive but all high-quality. It was all good as much as it was expensive.

-The weather in the UK is awful.

-Australia was great. It felt like summer in winter, the sun was crazy, the coffee was good, the food was a bit expensive but it's at the level of developed countries, no tips, and the wine is good~~

-I'm not into ocean activities, I'm picky about food, so Southeast Asia isn't an option for me...

-Among the places I've been, Switzerland is the best.

-I really want to visit Australia, Switzerland, and Spain.

-I liked Paris so much maybe because of the ambiance. Everywhere I went, there were only things I liked. So, I went back and lived there for a monthㅜㅜ If I had to live somewhere, I think it would be London among European cities.

-Switzerland is expensive but good. It was sooooo good. Portugal was also good, it's good value there, and as for the place with the best value, it's definitely Thailand.

-I really love Spain. It's delicious, and even though it's hot in the summer, it's dry so you can enjoy the sea without feeling sticky, and the cost of living is cheaper than other places.
