SHINee's full-group performance falls through leads to an unnecessary search for someone to blame

https://naver.me/GsjhLDD3

SHINee's absence as a full-group at SMTOWN Concert has sparked conflicts among fans as the 'Find the culprit' game is intensifying over who is responsible for this.

On January 11 and 12, SM Entertainment held a joint concert at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul to commemorate its 30th anniversary. While most SM artists participated, only Minho and Key from SHINee attended. Onew and Taemin, who left SM Entertainment in March last year and signed with Griffin Entertainment and Big Planet Made, respectively, did not attend.

Fans who were expecting a complete group performance started to speculate about the reasons for Taemin and Onew's absence. Onew had just released his 4th minialbum 'CONNECTION' on January 6, while Taemin is in the middle of his first world tour, 'Ephemeral Gaze.' However, since there were no other scheduled events between his Macau concert on January 4th and his Mexico concert on January 28th, there was no reason why he couldn't have participated in the SMTOWN Live. However, while Onew appeared in SM's 30th-anniversary content, Taemin did not.

Initally, Onew faced criticism because there were claims that he was uncooperative with group activities after releasing his solo album to fulfill his individual schedule. In response, the CEO of Onew's agency expressed his dissatisfaction through his personal SNS account, saying, "We're constantly receiving cancellations for the same reason. How much longer are we supposed to wait? Isn't there a problem?". They claimed that it wasn't their fault. The CEO continued to express their dissatisfaction and also stated, "SM is doing a good job."

Because of the CEO of Onew's agency saying there were no problems between them and SM, attention turned to Taemin's agency, Big Planet Made. On the 15th, Big Planet Made released an official statement through their SNS. Big Planet Made stated, "We are aware of the concerns regarding Taemin's activities with SHINee," and added, "All the content recently posted on SNS contains clear false information, and we will take strong legal action against such false information."

Big Planet Made especially emphasized, "Our company always supports and encourages Taemin's activities with SHINee, which he greatly loves," and added, "We are doing our best to provide full support so that our artist can receive fair treatment and carry out his activities." The expression "fair treatment" in the statement has once again sparked a debate among fans over who is responsible.

The reason why fans are trying to find out the reason why plans SHINee's full-group performance fell through is ultimately due to disappointment. It's become common for idol groups whose contracts have ended to leave their original agencies but still agree to continue group activities. In fact, some groups have successfully managed to pursue both individual and group activities. However, it's also common for plans to fall through due to changes in circumstances and different agencies. Even so, constantly trying to find the cause or blame for these situations isn't always good for the group's future. Instead of focusing on finding someone to blame, it might be more helpful for fans to believe that they will eventually come back together.

Despite difficulties in coordinating between the agencies, the four members have consistently expressed their desire for a complete SHINee group activity. Key and Minho, while performing at the SM Town concert, promised to appear as a full group next time. Separately from the company's stance, Taemin emphasized on the 13th that, "I, along with the other members, want to protect SHINee and write many more stories." Onew also mentioned the value of group activities in an interview. We look forward to seeing SHINee return to alleviate the disappointment caused by the incomplete group activity.

-Poor Onew.

-I can't believe they stayed quiet when Onew was getting all the hate...ㅠ

-If the full-group performance wasn't important, why was Onew getting all the hate?? They spread rumors everywhere to the point even non-fans knew about itㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Taemin-ah, what is this... The way BPM picking a fight with SM makes them look like HYBE.

-No need to look for the culprit. It's obvious already.

-BPM is acting way too much like HYBE.

-The more they do this kind of media play, the more it seems like Taemin is the reason why the full-group performance fell apartㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Why did he join that company? I’m genuinely curious.

-Do they have no conscience?

-The one saying not to look for the culprit is usually the culpritㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I didn’t like Onew, but this is very low of them.

-I guess they can't even deny it... They can only say 'don't look for the culrpit'...

-What’s with this 'culprit' nonsense? Where were articles like this when Onew was being getting all the hate?

-It would be better if they didn't do this kind of media playㅋㅋㅋ 'Unnecessary search for the culprit'ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Everyone already knows who the culprit is.

-I don't like Onew and frankly, I don't even know his face well. However, Taemin's side is so irritating. It's making his image getting worse.

Song Joongki breaks down in tears at Lee Sungmin’s words: "The actors feel like they want to die"

Lee Sungmin shared, "When I came here, I saw the parking lot was completely empty, and it broke my heart. It seems like there are hardly any people in the theater. There may be various reasons for this, but it's really tough for actors when there are no audiences in theaters. Especially when a movie is released during times like this, actors often feel like they want to die."

Song Joongki quietly nodded in agreement with every word Lee Sungmin said.

Lee Sungmin continued, "But still, it’s something we have to endure because we’re actors. Please give our movie as much support as you can so we can succeed until the end."

Lastly, Song Joongki took the microphone. "As my senior mentioned, the Korean film industry is going through a very difficult time these days. Honestly, just having a movie released in theaters is something we're really grateful for right now. We worked harder on promotions than ever before. We wanted to let people know about it and see it in a good light. Although the film industry is struggling, our role as actors is to create good content that comforts and entertains audiences who are going through tough times... So, we will do our best to create various works and be a source of strength for everyone."

Song Joongki then said, "As I talk about this, I feel like I'm about to cry..." and his voice trembled as he paused. After barely gathering himself, he said, "Thank you." His eyes welled up with tears. Lee Sungmin also became visibly emotional.

'Bogota', which was released on December 31st last year, is in a truly disastrous situation. As of the 15th, the cumulative audience is 400,000. The break-even point for this movie is 3 million viewers.

theqoo

-It's because the tickets are expensive and the movie is boring. Why are they acting like that while earning the amount of money that I can't even imagine?

-They get paid several years' worth of an average person's salary and yet they're complaining?? What a bullshitㅋㅋㅋ

-I'm struggling myself. Why should I watch a boring movie just because you're having a hard time? Just take care of your staff...

-Everyone is struggling in this economy!! During times like these, even reducing your fees could help create a better movie.

-If the movie is good, it will sell... Song Joongki's image is just becoming more unlikable over time.

-Even if the movie flops, the actors still get paid, right? A good movie will sell itself without much promotions.

-I don't understand when they say they want to die... Some people are literally dying right nowㅋㅋ Of course actors have their own struggles, but saying something like that in this day and age... It makes me wonder if they think death is that simple.

-I understand how they feel, but I just can’t sympathize at all.

-I get where they're coming from, but my own life is so tough that I can’t relate.

-Even so, they're still making a lot of money. What's there to cry about?

-It's not like they have to give back their fees if the movie flops, right?

-I don’t understand what they want us to do. I can’t relate at all.

-They probably each own a building anyway, so why should I feel sorry for them?

-Even if their movies fail, they can just go on to the next project and make a lot of money.

-Are you really making movies to comfort people who are struggling?ㅋㅋ

A K-Drama that's gaining a lot of QRTs

Ha Jungwoo and Jung Soojung to star in new drama 'Landlord' directed by Lim Pilsung:

A thriller about a struggling landlord who gets involved in a kidnapping plot to protect his family and building, which he values more than his life.

🔒 Wow, the synopsis... Low-income people who don't have buildings but have debts to pay are frowning to see this...

'Struggling landlord'? What even is that?

theqoo

-Is he paying off a loan?

-We'll understand once we watch it, you guys... We still don't know the details yet.

-What are they talking about???

-That is just like 'Hot Iced Americano'... A landlord drowning in debt? He can just sell the building to pay off the debt.

-If he's struggling to make ends meet, he should just sell his building-_-

-Does the story end when the building is sold?

-Sell the building;;

-I can't believe that the word 'struggling' and 'landlord' can be used in the same sentence.

-I get what they're trying to say. I think it's just a poor wording choice...?ㅋㅋㅋ 'Struggling' + 'Landlord' combination is indeed weird.

-Maybe he's trying to sell the building, but it’s not selling, and only the debt keeps increasing.

-My grandmother was in a similar situation, so I understand what they're trying to say. The director needs to do a really good job with it.

-The building may not sell, and taxes keep piling up.

-It does happen. Sometimes people just can't sell their buildings no matter what and when that happens, they're left with loan.

-The premise alone is already unpleasant.

News video of 'Love Scout' PD committing aggravated assault 5 years ago

'Love Scout' PD was booked for assault, insult, and special assault 5 years ago, but he's still in charge of a Fri-Sat drama???
He poured Soju on pedestrians, got arrested, and even sexually harassed a female police officer. The more shocking part is the fact that he already had a criminal record.
I feel like vomiting... How can anyone watch a romance drama created by someone like this? Even if the actor is a handsome grandfather, I'm boycotting.

On the 1st, in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, a man holding a soju bottle sprayed it on pedestrians walking by. Although his companions tried to stop him and take the bottle away, but the man violently grabbed it back. The man who first threw the soju then threw the bottle and indiscriminately hit people's faces, and a big fight broke out as the pedestrians fought back.

Police investigations have confirmed that the man is A, a PD from SBS dramas. The police arrested Mr. A at the scene. Even after being taken to the police station, he continued to shout at the police officers and even made severe sexually explicit remarks towards a female officer in her 20s. The police have booked Mr. A on charges of aggravated assault and insult. Mr. A, in his mid-30s, was the main director of an SBS Monday-Tuesday drama until last year.

theqoo

-Even someone like this isn’t fired from their job and is living well...

-On top of that, he also sexually harassed a female officerㅋㅋㅋ

-How can he even think about making a rom-com drama after doing that? Whoa, insane.

-That industry is incredible.

-How can I watch a drama made by someone who had a criminal record, committed aggravated assault, and sexually harassed a female officer?

-Wow, even after all that, he’s still the main PD for a weekend drama. And on top of that, it's a romance drama.

-What a crazy person... He made severe sexually explicit remarks towards a female officer in her 20s. How can any woman watch that drama?

-Is there a company that doesn’t fire someone with a criminal record?

-People are free to watch this drama, but I hope they won't promote it. A romance drama director who sexually harassed a woman... Isn't that insane?

-If the director won't step down, I can just quit watching.

-I deleted this drama from my Netflix watchlist already.

-How can I watch a romance made by someone like this?;;

-Ugh...ㅜㅜ I was about to start because it was getting so much praise, but what is this?

-People keep watching the drama even when they already know about this. That is the reason why he's not fired and can keep working.

-Ah... I guess I have to quit watching the drama.

theqoo

-Na PD's reaction is so funnyㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-That's just me, though?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Na PD's face looks like a litmus test...ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-This is so funny, I want to watch the drama with him...

-Can you please close your mouth?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Seriously, I almost died laughing the whole time watching Na Youngseok’s reactionㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-He's not any different from meㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Crazy... This is even more fun than the dramaㅋㅋ

CNBLUE’s reaction when a former member came up during a nostalgia momentㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Kang Minhyuk trying not to curse, Lee Jungshin cracking up, Jung Yonghwa trying to change the subject, and the camera quickly zooms outㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Desperately trying to cover up one side of the page...

theqoo

-What did the three of them do to deserve this?ㅠㅠ Even the camera director...

-Thinking about the reason he left, the whole situation makes sense.

-ㅠㅠㅠㅋㅋㅋ Let's just be happy among ourselves...

-He left in such a f*cked up way...ㅋㅋ

-Where is this? Does it look like a museum? Did they set up a pop-up exhibit?

-The way the camera quietly backs away so quickly is so funnyㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Who was the member that left again...?

-Isn’t the camera pulling away too quietly and quickly?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I wondered why they acted like that, then looked it up and, oh, I get it.

-ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I had forgotten about this.

-I can't believe that 'Aish' came out of Minhyuk's mouthㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-(Zooming out indefinitely)

-His presence is so faint that I can't remember his face even if you tell me his nameㅋㅋㅋ

-This is the first time I've heard Minhyuk say 'Aish'

-Who said 'Aish'?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Was it Jung Yonghwa or Kang Minhyuk?

Jang Wonyoung's words that are shocking, in a positive way

There's no pain without reward.

Usually, people say, "No reward without pain," but she said "No pain without reward" instead. She emphasizes it on the reward, giving it a positive vibe. That's so Wonyoung-like of her.

She has the 'Lucky Vicky' mindset down to her bones...

theqoo

-I love how she doesn't take her success for granted but sees it as a 'reward'.

-Wonyoung truly seems like such a strong person.

-Whoa... I learned something from her today... I really respect her.

-I gained a big insight today... She has a really amazing mindset.

-She's still so young and yet she's very admirable and mature...

-Maybe because she debuted so young, she’s so mature for her age... I’m 30 and I feel like a baby compared to her. She's so much more mature than meㅠㅠ

-I don't know... I might agree with 'No reward without pain,' but I can’t agree with 'No pain without reward.'

-No pain, no gain.

-Isn’t Wonyoung born in 2004? I have so much to learn from someone so young...ㅜㅜ

-For everyone here, your reward will definitely come after the pain. Hang in there, everyone.

-She must’ve always had a reward for her pain. I can’t relate.

-I can’t relate to Jang Wonyoung’s words, but the comments are so warm that I feel comforted.

-It’s strange to limit 'reward' to just the outcome you want. Even if it’s not the result you expected, if you learn something from the experience, that's also a reward.

-Hmm... I usually like Wonyoung, but I disagree with this statement.

-She’s truly unique.

-Maybe every pain might have a reward we don't know about or we don't yet understandㅜㅜ Thinking that Wonyoung had these thoughts whenever she was struggling makes my heart ache.

Hello, this is Big Planet Made

Hello, this is Big Planet Made.

We are aware of the concerns raised by some posts on certain communities and social media about Taemin's activities with SHINee, and we would like to clarify our position on this matter.

All content recently posted on social media contains clear false information, and we plan to take strong legal action against such false information.

Our company fully supports and encourages Taemin's activities with SHINee, which hold a special place in Taemin’s heart. At the same time, we are doing our best to provide full support so that our artist can receive fair treatment and carry out his activities.

We will continue to actively support Taemin so that he can shine both as a solo artist and as a member of SHINee, and also to protect him as an artist so that he can grow even further.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the fans who have shown great love and interest in Taemin.

Thank you.

theqoo

-What exactly are they calling false information?

-Oh gosh... There's gonna be a war now.

-Their official statements are always so bad.

-So which one is the false information

-Shouldn't they clarify what the false information is?

-Then why was Taemin absent from the 30th-anniversary concert and album?

-The statement is so vague. It doesn’t say all the information is false, just that it 'contains' false information.

-I hope they could've at least clarified which one is the false information.

-So his absence from SMTOWN concert and 30th-anniversary album is also false information??ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-This doesn’t match what Taemin said on Bubble, though?????? What’s going on????

-'Fair treatment'?

-ㅎ... They're gonna drop the evidence at this point...

-It's true that he didn't participate... What's false about that?ㅋㅋ

-They can’t even explain exactly what’s falseㅋㅋ

-'All content recently posted on social media contains clear false information'???? That's a strong statementㅋㅋㅋㅋ

SM staff members even did this much for Taemin before he went to the military

Manager Euisoo, Creative Director Hwang Sanghoon, Director/A&R Team Yoo Youngjin, Manager Choi Jin and Heo Jaehyuk, CEO Tak Youngjoon and Lee Sungsoo.

The collection of heartfelt messages that will bring tears to your eyesㅋㅋㅋ

It feels like SM practically raised Taemin

To Taemin.

A message from SM Ent.'s final boss, father Lee Sooman

Taemin is the only artist in SM Ent.'s history to receive a video message from the staff before his enlistment. This shows how much SM Ent. values him.

He could choose not to renew his contract and leave SM Ent. The problem is that he agreed to participate in SHINee's activities, but in reality, he hasn't fully participated and it causes all plans to fall apart.

theqoo

-He was one of the artists that SM cherished the most.

-But that's how people are... The ones that the company takes the best care of are often the first to turn against the companyㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-The more they’re taken care of, the more they think they’re superior and in control.

-Honestly, I really dislike SM, but seeing Taemin act like this is just...

-Seeing this, I wonder if Lee Sooman had something to do with Taemin leaving SM.

-That's right, he was practically SM's son.

-Well, a contract is a contract, but if he cared about group activities, he wouldn’t have gone to that company.

-Wait, so did they not do this for the other members? Did they only do this for him...? Hul...

-But Taemin fulfilled his contract period before leaving, didn’t he? He doesn’t have to renew it if he doesn't want to. What’s the big deal?

-He must have had his reasons for leaving, but even as an outsider, it was clear how much SM cared for Taemin.

-But why did he leave? Wouldn’t it have been better for him to stay? Was there something SM couldn’t give him?

-If this is how it’s going to be, why didn’t he just leave the group too? Why hold SHINee hostage?

-Everything is pointless, I’m telling you.

-I thought he would stay in SM forever.
