Victim of North Koreans' 'poop balloons' terror

The trash that North Korea sent landed and smashed a car. There was a loud crash this morning. There's no sign of the driver. Apart from that, this seems dangerous since it could hit someone.

-What if someone gets hit? Shouldn't the government do something about it and not let it happen again?

-It seems quite heavy, someone could get hurt. I've seen things falling on the road, it seems to be really dangerous.

-It's too dangerous; it's not just balloons, someone could get hurt.

-Who's going to compensate if that happens?

-How did they send it...? It looks heavy.

-This is crazy.

-Is that not covered by insurance?

-Why are those North Korean bastards doing this?

-What if it hits someone? They could get hurt.

-I feel bad for the driverㅠㅠㅠㅠ

-It fell in front of our apartment building early in the morning tooㅠㅠ I hope there are no hazardous chemicalsㅠㅠㅠ

-They're not compensating for this? So if someone gets hit and dies by that, they'll just die in vain?

-....That's insane.

-Would insurance cover that?

-I guess this is why we receive emergency alerts about this being dangerous.

-Can you even get compensation for that?

There are a lot of people who don't like this type of ending in romance dramas

Endings that involve pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare.

-I love it

-I really hate it. It’s my least favorite ending. I don't even like romance, so when a romance drama ends like that, it’s just... ugh...

-I really hate it. Marriage is one thing, but I really hate the having-kids part. Can't they be happy without kids? It's so cliché and lazy.

-Marriage is fine, but I'm really not into the parenting part.

-I just lose interest once they start dating.

-I really don't like it.

-It's not that I hate it, but I've seen this ending so many times that I'm bored of it.

-I'm single and childfree, but I like it.

-It's such a lazy ending.

-Marriage is fine, but having kids... do we really need that?

-I really hate it.

-I prefer when they end up being happy together. No need to show them getting married and having kids. It's too realistic and boring. It even kills the fantasy.

-I really, really, really dislike it.

-It's not the pregnancy and parenting itself, but romanticizing it bothers me. The child is just used as an accessory for an ideal family.

-It's too much of a happy ending.

-I don't mind it, but I hate when people act like marriage is the ultimate goal in life.

-If the couple is happy, that's enough. I don't think children are necessary. You don't need pregnancy and parenting to live a happy life.

-Marriage is fine, but including kids is unnecessary unless it's essential to the story.

-I don't like marriage endings. I wish it would just end with them dating.

-I don't mind it.

-It's the ending I dislike the most.

-Oh, why do people hate it? I'm curious.

-I don't just dislike it; it's a complete turn-off. I want to enjoy the fantasy of the couple's romance, but making pregnancy and parenting a standard happy ending ruins it.

2024 Festa BTS Jin Offline Event Application Criteria Revised

Hello. This is BigHit Music.

We would like to inform you about the upcoming changes to the eligibility criteria for Jin's offline event '2024 FESTA.'

We apologize for the lack of clarity in the previous announcement and for not setting detailed criteria beforehand.

As of today (6/2) at 11 AM (KST), following the announcement of the offline event eligibility, we plan to revise the criteria to include both those who purchased albums for the offline event through the Weverse Shop and those who have previous purchase records on the Weverse Shop.

We will carefully consider this matter and announce the detailed information as soon as possible.

We are committed to ensuring that Jin's intentions are well conveyed to the fans by preparing the event to the best of our abilities. We apologize again for any inconvenience caused and ask for your support and interest in Jin's offline event on June 13th.

Thank you.

-Great, now reduce the number of participants

-They need to cut the number of participants.

-These people are really bad at their job.

-They really suck at their job.

-Can he really hug 1,000 people? Just give out gifts instead.

-They should just organize a fan meeting and do the hug event with fewer people, chosen by lottery.

-Reduce the number of participants and prioritize those who already bought albums.

-This is really bad. Don't go easy on them, ARMYs, keep fighting for your rights!

-How can he handle 1,000 people? He'll get exhausted...

-Can't they just do a fan meeting instead of hug event?

-Reduce the number of participants. Hugging 1,000 people is too much.

-HYBE is just hungry for money.

-I hope they changed it because they respect fans' opinions, not because it made it to the news.

-The singer is trying to do something nice for fans, but the company is ruining it. HYBE needs to be constantly criticised to get their act together.

-Fans need to keep criticizing HYBE for them to get it right.

-Get your act together.

"I can't believe they're making us buy the album again" ... BTS Jin's hug event draws criticism for its eligibility requirements

by Journalist Lee Chang-gyu

BTS Jin's hug event has been receiving mixed opinions as information about the eligibility requirements was revealed. To participate in the event, one must have the ARMY membership and must purchase any album released after 'Proof' via Weverse Shop during the application period.

Additionally, it was noted that the entries are based on the total number of albums ordered from Weverse Shop from the 2nd to the 6th of June, not the number of orders itself.

This has caused dissatisfaction among fans. Many fans feel that the event loses its meaning since his only solo release before his military enlistment is 'The Astronaut.' Moreover, fans who already bought albums before have to buy more copies to participate, leading to criticism that the company is using this event purely to make money.

Netizens reacted with comments such as, "They should've just organized a fan meeting instead," "Is this really an event for the fans?" "This will harm the artist's image," and "They should've limited the eligibility to Jin's album only; What's this?"

theqoo

-Isn't BTS one of the highest-earning groups of the company? Do they really need to go this far? It's not like BTS is a struggling idol group who needs to clear out their stock. The artist should speak up against this kind of thing.

-BTS, who built this billion-dollar company, are made to do this while they hand over a trillion won to that Scooter Braun guy. Classy.

-Wow, the more albums you buy, the higher your chances of winning. This is so petty for BTS's class...

-Is HYBE trying to make up for their losses here?

-This really feels like something a game developer would come up with. Do they see idols as gacha game characters or what?

-Unbelievable...

-That company only thinks about how to squeeze money out of us while neglecting their responsibilities. Please respect the artists and fans!!

-Wow, they seem to be really desperate for money.

-Do they really have to go this far?

-This is so embarrassing.

-This is just stock clearance, and it’s ruining the meaning of the hug event itself.

-Even if they do it, shouldn't it only be for Jin's album? Why include other members' albums?

-If their intention is pure, shouldn't it just be a random draw?

Today, NCT's Indonesian fans sent a Starbucks boycott truck to Starbucks

(NB: Pannatic is a translation site that supports Palestine. Any statements and comments here do NOT reflect my views and beliefs)

We do not want NCT or your artists to be associated with or promote S ** BUC*KS or any company that raises funds for genocide in Palestine.

Please take note of our concerns.

instiz

-Why are they doing this for real???

-It's really infuriating.

-They should hold a protest in their own country, seriously... NCT, let's just not go to Indonesia anymore in the future.

-Ugh, why are they doing this;

-They're the best when it comes to doing useless things, really.

-Who are they to meddle in other countries?

-If they're going to do something, do it in the US headquarters. What's the point of doing this in front of Korean Starbucks, where Shinsegae owns a hundred percent stake?

-Why aren't they sending trucks to their own country?

-They're legends in being uneducated...

-Donate that money to Palestine instead.

-Why are they doing this? They should just go protest at the US HQ instead.

-What's the relation between Indonesia and Palestine?

-Korean Starbucks has nothing to do with it, why keep doing this? Go protest at the US HQ.

-Huh? It's not even in front of the Korean headquarters, it's in front of a Starbucks branch in Cheongdamdong, and it's not like they sent trucks to all Starbucks locations nationwide.

-Use that money to donate, seriously, how can they be so foolish...

-Let's never go on tour to that country^^

-Now I develop some kind of prejudice against that country.

-Why don't they understand that what they're doing is violence?

-Send it to the Shinsegae headquarters... Starbucks Korea belongs to Shinsegae...

-Thanks to this, I'm now more convinced to support Israel 🇮🇱

BTS' international fans are madly angry at New Jeans for thanking CEO Min Heejin in their acceptance speech yesterday

The initial tweet has reached over 5.6 M views

Why would you write a petition..... It's not like you're Korean. You're not even related to New Jeans and Min Heejin's situation... What on earth does a BTS' fan have to do with this anyway?

Min Heejin mentioned that while boy groups generally generate more revenue, NewJeans, as a girl group, achieved results that are comparable to those of boy groups typically achieve within 5-7 years. This is a fact. However, many international ARMYs misinterpreted or mistranslated this, thinking it was a jab at BTS. These posts also seem to misinterpret Min Heejin's statement.

When Min Heejin said "I am human too," many international fans interpreted it as implying that groups like BTS, LE SSERAFIM, and ILLIT are not human. They spread the false claim that Min Heejin refused to apologize by saying "I am human too." This statement is being heavily criticized.

People are calling NewJeans demons, disgusting, and saying they should be boycotted.

Objectively, the number of BTS's international fans is far larger than Bunnies (NB: NewJeans' fanbase), and there are naturally more translators. Therefore, translations are quickly made and spread, but many are inaccurate.

Min Heejin's remarks in her first press conference were also distorted and spread within the fandom, and by the time accurate translations were available, it was too late.

(There have been many instances of BTS-related materials being mistranslated in a way that caused the members to be criticized. So it's no surprise this time. Many believe all these controversies, including the Sajaegi allegations, were started by Min Heejin. In reality, the Sajaegi allegations was brought to light years later because Korean fans were arguing with each other. It has nothing to do with Min Heejin.)

Min Heejin didn't even mention the Sajaegi allegations in yesterday's press conference. She talked about being offered to do a deceptive marketing strategy to promote her group.

Now, based on the comments from yesterday's Music Bank, it seems like they think it's time to boycott NewJeans.

As a fan of another country's culture, if they have different opinions from the local public opinion, they should be cautious and consider "Is there something I misunderstand?"

Instead, some international fans are using snippets of mistranslated (and poorly translated) remarks from the press conference and tell Koreans, who watched the full press conference, to "see the truth."

The issue is that these international fans I'm talking about are not just "a small group" (there's a lot of them); this whole chaos is caused because no one is properly moderating the community.

-They pretend to know everything when they don't even speak Korean...

-Sometimes international K-pop fans are more problematic than domestic fans. It's a bit scary.

-I don't know if it's because they're international fans or if it's just the fandom's attitude, but I don't understand why they equate BTS with HYBE and support HYBE so much... I'm not a fan, so I may not know much, but objectively, I don't think HYBE is the best company for BTS.

-That's a disease.

-It seems like HYBE's witch hunt is successful.

-I know there are many international fans who aren't in their right minds, but aren't there sane ones too among them? Shouldn't the sane fans correct them? If they just let it go, the fandom's image will be ruined

-If the fans behave like this, the artist will be seen in a bad light too.

-ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ They're trying so hard. Do they think New Jeans will flop because of this? Seriously, take care of your own business. Spend time with your family or read a book instead of leaving hate comments on social media! Pathetic, really pathetic.

-Whatever. Fighting, New Jeans.

-Please just go die.

-If you don't know anything, just stay quietㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-This is why HYBE does the media play, so these ignorant international fans would cause trouble.

-They make so much noise without even knowing the facts.

-There are really a lot of lunatics out there...
