Although there was talk among international Kpop fans about the similarities at the time of release, it didn't become an issue and was buried. On 11/01, as HYBE's internal report regarding D.O leaked online, people are revisiting and questioning whether plagiarism may have occurred.

FT Island's Lee Hongki recently shared his thoughts on the controversy surrounding the band's guitarist, Choi Minhwan.
FT Island recently performed at the Grand Mint Festival 2024 held at Olympic Park in Songpa-gu, Seoul, at 6.30 PM on the 2nd.
At the beginning of their performance, the band performed live without mentioning anything about the issue. However, toward the end of their performance, the vocalist, Lee Hongki, indirectly expressed his feelings about the controversy by saying, "I felt so f*cking unfair. It feels like the world is f*cking against me. But I will keep making music until I die."
The audience responded by turning on their phone flashlights while singing along, showing their support for Lee Hongki and Lee Jaejin.
