Song Joongki faces two consecutive box office flops ... 'Bogota: City of the Lost' fails to attract audiences

Song Joongki's film, 'Bogota: City of the Lost', is struggling at the box office.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated network on January 7th, the film, which was released on December 31st, has accumulated only 336,348 viewers.

Despite being a new release, it falls behind the previously released films 'Harbin' (directed by Woo Minho) and 'Firefighters' (directed by Kwak Kyungtaek), currently ranking third at the box office.

With his previous film, 'Hopeless', released in October 2023, also falling short with only 260,000 viewers, making the actor faces two consecutive box office failures.

theqoo

-The title itself isn’t appealing... Seems like they lack a sense for it.

-I watched the trailer, it just looks too boring.

-Would you pay 15,000 KRW just because it's Song Joongki?

-Honestly, hearing Song Joongki's name actually makes me even less interested.

-Don’t waste Song Joongki’s face like that...

-I watched it yesterday, and there was no substance.

-What I want to see from Song Joongki is something like Descendants of the Sun, but his movies are always so dark and gloomy... I wonder why?

-I don’t have any expectations for Song Joongki anymore. His acting skill has declined.

-I didn’t even know it was releasedㅋㅋㅋ

-Nowadays, who watches a movie just because of the actor? The movie itself has to be interesting.

-The only Song Joongki movie I know is A Werewolf Boy.

-I think Song Joongki seems more suited for dramas...

-Regardless of whether you like the actor or not, there's no actor who always succeedsㅋㅋㅋㅋ He’ll have a hit project again eventually.

-His acting is terrible.

-Not only is his acting bad, but his image is also ruined.

Porsche designed by BLACKPINK Jennie listed on an online secondhand marketplace

Whoa... Someone listed Jennie's Porsche on Daangn (NB: Korean online secondhand marketplace)ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ There are only two in the world, one is Jennie's and the other one is this person'sㄷㄷㄷ

295 Million KRW

Selling limited edition Porsche Taycan Jennie Ruby Jane 4S Cross Turismo (a.k.a Jennie's car)

-Designed by BLACKPINK Jennie, only two units exist in this world.

-One owned by Jennie, the other one auctioned off at Seoul Auction last year, and purchased by the seller

-Like-new condition (Only driven 150km during delivery)

-There are only two units of this design in this world, the design will never be produced again.

-Customized through Porsche's Sonderwunsch program (Custom order program, minimum down payment of 100,000 euros)

-Hoping to sell to someone who appreciates the value of this car.

It's the Porsche that Jennie posted on her Instagram

It's a car designed by Jennie through Porsche's Sonderwunsch customization program and there are only two units in the world.

It's said to be posted on Daangn.

theqoo

-Are you sure they didn't list it just to flex?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-There are only two units in the world, and both are in Korea?

-Wow... The car is so beautiful.

-It would be fun if Jennie bought it (I know it's not gonna happen)

-The car is so pretty, but I don't have the money to buy itㅜㅜ

-With only one photo, who would buy this? Unless the seller listed it just to show off.

-If you buy it, you’d have a couple item with Jennie.

-It seems like they're looking for a collector, not someone who would actually use and drive the car.

-ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋThat's cheaper than I thought.

-For one of only two cars in the world, it's quite cheap, isn't it? I'm sure a rich Jennie fan will snatch this up right away. I'm so jealous.

-Is it expensive because Jennie designed it? Or is that the usual price for a Porsche?

-A Jennie fan might actually buy this. It’s practically a couple’s item.

-Wow, of course I can't afford it, but it seems worth buying.

-If I only had the money, I would buy it...

-What happens if you damage the bumper? Can you replace it? It’s custom-made...

The scene in Minnie’s MV that made fans begging her to eat

Minnie revealed a pre-release song from her solo album yesterday.

Minnie-ya, please eat

Minnie-ya, seriously, eat something, please.

Minnie-nim, please eat a lot of delicious food...

All of her fans are telling her to eat...

And for good reason.

You can literally see her bones... It’s probably for the concept, but someone please feed Kim Minnie five meals a day.

theqoo

-Huh? Looking at the MV, that spine scene seems to be a CG effect to match the bizarre concept, right? Are you guys sure she's really that skinny?

-Eat 3 plates of Pad Thai and 2 servings of Tom Yum Goong, please.

-Considering idols' schedules, this isn't a joke. They really need to eat wellㅜㅜ

-It really looks like CG, though.

-Isn't that just a CG?

-It's harmful... It doesn't even look beautiful, why does she have to be so skinny?

-Visible bones aren’t pretty. It's scary.

-Minnie is really into food. She posts more food pics than selfies on her Instagram stories and Bubble. So don't worry.

-Is this 'The Substance' or what?

-There was a similar scene of Seo Hyunjin in 'The Trunk'

-It’s not like she’s saying, “Look how skinny I am!” It seems more like they intentionally made her bones visible to match the eerie vibe of the video and song, so I don’t think it’s harmful...

-Didn’t she just do this temporarily for the project? I mean... Actors lose weight for roles all the time.

-Isn’t the bone totally CG?? The bones look massive.

-But some people naturally have a bone structure where their bones are noticeable. I’m like that. My spine and ribs stick out even at a normal weight.

30-year-old man arrested for posting malicious comments about Jeju Air plane crash victims and their families seeking compensation

"Looks like only the families of the Muan Airport victims are hitting the jackpot. They must be grinning from ear to ear thinking about the compensation they'll receive."

A man in his 30s has been arrested by the police for posting malicious comments insulting the families of the victims of the Jeju Air plane crash.

According to the Jeollabuk-do Provincial Police's Cyber Investigation Unit, the man, identified as Mr. A, was arrested on the 4th on charges of defamation and is currently under investigation.

Mr. A is accused of posting a comment on an online community on December 31st from his home in Seoul, suggesting that the bereaved families "hit the jackpot" by receiving compensation, thereby insulting them.

During police questioning, Mr. A reportedly stated, "I wrote it without thinking after seeing the news about the accident."

The police have deleted or blocked 125 posts and comments that defamed the victims or insulted their families.

theqoo

-A man in his 30sㅋㅋ

-He should serve a prison sentence.

-He should be punished properly.

-If anything, that thing should be taken away and its family would be the ones who hit the jackpot.

-What kind of life has someone lived to be able to think like that?

-He committed a crime without thinking? Sure. He's a criminal.

-Do people like that even have families?

-It's amazing how his first thought after reading the news of an accident where people died in it is about money.

-I hope karma bites him in the ass.

-It's not a jackpot, it's a tragedy. If you were born as a human, you should at least have some respect for life.

-No thoughts, just living like a cockroach... So disgusting.

-They should make him read this in front of his parents.

-"Without thinking"... is that supposed to be an excuse?

-His identity should be revealed so he can be publicly humiliated.

-Have at least a minimum level of humanity. You're not an animal.

A lineup of dramas with unforgettable endings recommended by a K-Drama fan

Reborn Rich

Memories of the Alhambra

2521

Big Mouth

Lovers in Paris

The Legend

High Kick Through the Roof

SKY Castle

49 Days

War of Money

Duty After School

Bad Guy

Fashion King

+) Why are Lovers in Paris and Sign included in this list...? It's because both ended up with a lot of talk because of the endings. The writer of Lovers in Paris even stated in an interview that 'an ending that viewers don't want is a failed ending.'

Sign also had a shocking ending. The script of the final episode was leaked the day before the last episode. Everyone was like, 'No way~~', but it turned out to be exactly the same and received a lot of negative responses. Viewers were asking why they had to kill Yoon Jihoon.

++) I removed Sign because many people disagree with me

theqoo

-The OP is a bad person.

-Reborn rich had the worst ending... It ruined the entire drama ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

-Where's Hotel del Luna?

-For me, its The Legend... I watched it live, thoughㅠㅠㅠ

-Big Mouth... I just feel so bad for the female leadㅠㅠ

-Sigh... I'd forgotten about Big Mouth until now.

-All the endings of these dramas just... made my head spin.

-2521... But honestly, they gave it away with the kid’s last name from the startㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Big Mouth and Reborn Rich, seriouslyㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Lovers in Paris doesn’t seem that bad compared to the othersㅋㅋㅋ

-This lineup is pissing me offㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Whoa... I haven't watched any of these except Lovers in Paris!

-Personally, I would like to add Twinkling Watermelon to this list... I enjoyed the whole drama, until the last episode completely ruined it. It'd be better if it ended as just a dream.

-I’ve only watched Reborn Rich, but I still haven’t watched the last episode.

-I think Memories of the Alhambra is actually fine, thoughㅋㅋㅋㅋ Reborn Rich was absolute trashㅠ

SM Ent.'s senior artists seem to be dissatisfied with the way SM Ent. treat them

SNSD's Taeyeon:

I was really excited to perform and prepared to perform two or three songs with great enthusiasm, so I told the company and waited. But in the end, they didn’t prepare anything, so I couldn’t perform at all.

It's ot that I'm lazy or I don't want to do it... I just genuinely care about the stage and want to do my best, that's all. But they're not helping me do that. I'm seriously questioning what's going on. I'm sharing this with SONEs because I'm worried you might misunderstand me.

TVXQ's Changmin:

Fan: SMTOWN Goods!! Oppa, you look so handsome~~~~ So I'm going to buy 1988218 of them.

Changmin: If you really buy that much, I wonder how the company would treat meㅎ

Super Junior's Yesung:

I've seen some questions regarding SMTOWN concert.

Well, since it's an event for a company I've been with for over 20 years, I'll try to participate as much as possible.

But I haven't participated much in the album, especially the group songs. I'm too tired to talk about the cold treatment I get in the group songs, I don't even want to talk about it~

I'm just going to focus on my own concert, so know that~

theqoo

-Yesung is talking about how little his parts in the group songsㅇㅇ

-What’s going on with how SM Ent. treats their veterans? Even the senior artists mentioned in the post still contributing significantly to the company's revenue, no...?

-Changmin was just joking in that comment...

-If you stan SM Ent., you'll notice that the senior artists are constantly building frustrations, while the fans of the company defend them saying, 'Of course, they should focus on the juniors~' It's an endless cycleㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Celebrities definitely lack a sense of social awareness.

-If SM Ent. really treated them that poorly, they would've left the company already. If they have complaints, they wouldn't renew their contracts.

-What's wrong with Yesung's Bubble messages...? I personally think it has similar nuisance to Taeyeon's, no?

-It's not about the treatment, it's just that the company can't do their job properly. Why did the OP write the post as if those artists are demanding better treatment from the company?

-Take good care of my babies, please...

-Is Yesung’s part really that small?

-Yesung and Changmin’s cases are different from Taeyeon’s.

-In that case, couldn't they just extend the convert time? They could just increase the number of participating artists and songs.

-Hasn't Yesung always like that? I remember him complaining about not having enough parts in Super Junior's songs and it made headlines.

-Yesung has always been like that. He's that guy who tweeted about losing his parts when Kyuhyun and Ryeowook got discharged from the military.
