According to the Presidential Office, the President and First Lady appeared on the show to promote K-food made with seasonal ingredients. However, considering that all ministries are mourning following the death of a public official, the Presidential Office requested the postponement.
Regarding controversy over the filming schedule, presidential spokesperson Kim Namjoon stated in a written briefing, "President Lee held an emergency response meeting at 10.50 AM on the 28th, where he was briefed on the situation and discussed countermeasures with the heads of the three main offices, the Crisis Management Center, and the National Affairs Office. Later that day, he filmed 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' and presided over a Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters meeting at 5.30 PM."
The Presidential Office also stated that immediately after returning from his U.S. visit on the night of the 26th, the President received frequent reports about the ongoing situation, closely monitored the damage and the government's reports, and ordered necessary measures. As a result, a Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters meeting presided over by the Prime Minister was held on the 27th.
