Claims have surfaced denying the dating rumors between BTS' member, Jimin, and 'Heart Signal 2' cast member, Song Daeun.
On the 28th, a post on a social media believed to belong to an international fan stated, "Song Daeun did a 3 hour live broadcast on SNS yesterday (27th)." The video shows Song Daeun having a cheerful conversation with a man, using heartr emojis. Her hairstyle in the video looks similar to a recent selfie she posted on her personal account, suggesting that the video was filmed recently.
Other netizens pointed out, "Song Daeun one claimed that she was being stalked for dating an idol, and after that she did a live broadcast while drunk at 4 AM," and "Jimin moved to Nine One Hannam in 2021. However, Song Daeun has posted several photos that suggest she was dating someone who lived there as early as 2019."
In response to these claims, both Song Daeun and Jimin's sides have remained silent.
Song Daeun recently caused a stir by posting a video on her account that seemed to be a home date with Jimin. The video showed Jimin getting out of an elevator saying, "Oh, you surprised me. Did you know I was coming? I didn't tell you on purpose." The elevator interior clearly shows the name "Nine One Hannam," the apartment where Jimin is known to live in, drawing attention.
The speculation intensified because Song Daeun had been subtly dropping hints about their relationship since the first dating rumors surfaced in June 2022, such as posting photos on her account that showed parts of a man's body believed to be Jimin's and an earphone case with the initials 'Daeun' and 'Jimin.'
In response to this, Song Daeun publicly exposed malicious comments she received from netizens and took legal action in May last year. Then in June, she posted a warning saying, "Just because the idol you like loves me, doesn't mean I deserve hate. You don't know what I might expose if I really get angry."
Amid these new claims that the dating rumors were false and that she's actually seeing someone else, all eyes are on whether Song Daeun and Jimin's sides will finally speak up.
Meanwhile, Jimin has been in the U.S. since July, reportedly working on BTS’s comeback album.
