Can Kpop idols be really considered as singers?

Of course, visuals are important for idols at some point. But I somehow feel enraged to see idols who got to debut just because of their visuals and all they do is lipsync on stage because they're stealing the spots of hose who are really desperate to be singers. What's funnier is how they're famous and have big influence on other people, it's just very embarassing. What makes them any different from Japanese idols, then?

1. [+178][-9] Honestly, I don't think they're stealing the spots of those who are really desperate to be singers...ㅋㅋ Of course, there are a lot of talented people who are desperate to be idols. But in the end, what makes them famous are their looks, not their songs, right? I mean, look at how the famous members are usually not the ones with average looks or less. They can easily be popular if they're good looking, even if their skills are average or less. It also can raise their wage. If I ran a company, I'd choose to debut those who looks, rather than talent. Even though I'd be more than happy if they're also talented.

2. [+117][-9] ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ The comment section is ridiculous. They always talk about female idols in posts like this.

3. [+102][-11] Not only idols, I think in every aspect of jobs, there'd be some people who are not good in their fields, right? For example, there are actors and actresses who are not good at acting, there are also comedians who are not funny. Not only in the entertainment industry, this also applies in every field of jobs. But you guys are always picking on idols.

4. [+24][-5] People like you are really funny. If an idol is talented, but have average looks, you'd critic them for not being any good-looking than average citizen. If an idol is good looking, but have average talent, you'd hate them for being not talented. Of course, idols who are both good looking and talented do exist. But you guys are talking as if visuals is the only thing they can offer. These are also the same people who hate Jang Wonyoung or Sullyoon saying they make easy money only just because of their looks. Idols are singers. Yes, they do have to sing while dancing. But don't you think you guys are being too harsh on idols? Especially since you guys are more sensitive about dating rumors or scandals when it comes to idols.

5. [+24][-1] That is why most people don't treat idols as if they're singers and even underestimate their talent...
