Does Rom&nd's lip tint really cause chelitis? ... Company responds: "We're developing new product to remove the cause"

https://www.1conomynews.co.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=43216

Consumers have been reporting chapped lips and cheilitis after using Rom&nd's The Juicy Lasting Tint. Although the ingredient causing the problem hasn't been clearly identified, the company has acknowledged the controversy and revealed that they are developing a product that addresses the issue.

According to a confirmation from Rom&nd on the 4th, complaints of cheilitis symptoms from customers who used Rom&nd's The Juicy Lasting Tint have increased since last June. Rom&nd stated that they are taking steps to recall the products and issue refunds to some customers.

However, it has been confirmed that The Juicy Lasting Tint is still being sold through CJ Olive Young and other retailers.

Recently, online communities have been flooded with posts written by people who experienced various side effects after using The Juicy Lasting Tint. Reported symptoms include peeling, rashes, swelling, and other allergic reactions on the lips.

A post on an online community said, "When I apply the tint, it stings as if I'm rubbing my lips with a strong alcohol pad. I only realized it after my lips cracked."

In relation to this, some speculate that the ingredient 'Red No. 202' used in Rom&nd's products is the main cause.

According to the Korea Consumer Agency's safety survey on lip products, Red No. 202 can cause allergic reactions on the lips, with symptoms including peeling, rashes, and blisters along the border of the lips and skin.

However, other ingredients may also be the cause. In fact, lip products from other companies also contain Red No. 202 but haven't faced similar controversy.

One consumer, identified as A, stated, "My lips are fine as long as I avoid Red No. 202, but I get cheilitis even from Rom&nd's products that don't contain Red No. 202. I really want to know what the cause is."

...

Rom&nd explained that after discussing the issue with the manufacturer's researchers involved in the new product development, volatile ingredients were identified as a possible cause. The company also announced that they plan to release a reformulated version with modified ingredients in January next year.

-For me, it's Periperaㅠㅠ Whenever I use any lip products from Peripera, my lips feel so dry and I always end up with cheilitis...

-So the redness and stinging on my lips was caused by that lip tint... It happens with lip tints from other companies too... How do I avoid this?? My lips completely break out sometimes.

-I have never had dry lips in my entire life, but after I started using that lip tint, they got so dry and no matter what I did, even with lip balm, it became even drier and sore. At first, I didn't know what caused it, but after realizing it was because of that lip tint, I threw it away.

-I really wanted to try Rom&nd's products, though... I guess I'll just buy it when the new product comes out.

-Oh Gosh... I literally just got home from buying one of those;;

-Peripera and Clio's lip products do that to me... Peripera is really bad.

-Hul... I got cheilitis right after using exactly that lip tint. Crazy. So it was because of that.

-There are a lot of lip products that contain Red No. 202... I think the problem is with the formulation or some other ingredients...

-What the heck?? I just applied it on my lips;;

-My lips are totally fine, though...

-Wasn't it fine a few years ago?

-Even if your lips are fine after using that lip tint, don't keep using it. Once you get chelitis, it won't go away easily. It sticks around.

-I got cheilitis too... It has been 3 months and it still hasn't f*cking healed... And I only use Rom&nd's lip products.

-As soon as I put it on I was like 'What is this'?ㅠㅠ It feels tingly on my lips.

-My lips got messed up too, I didn't know this was the cause.

-Hip-hop isn’t cool

-The first revealed picture is of them flipping their middle fingers...

-Whoa... How can they piss people off right from the start?

-All female idols these days are gorgeous but male idols use 'Hip hop' as an excuse for being unattractive.

-I came to see their faces but ended up getting flipped off.

-Why are you flipping me off...ㅠㅠ

-Uh... This is not the idol vibe that we're used to...

-Why are you already mad at me... It's my first time seeing you guys...

-Looks like a picture of bunch of Iljins.

-Honestly, they could just go as a hip-hop group... They don't necessarily have to be idols.

-Did I do something wrong?( •᷄‎ࡇ•᷅ )

-Uh... What are they doing...?

-That's so rude.

-If their song blows up, I think they could make it.

-That's so cringeㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Moon Gayoung sparks controversy with lingerie-inspired airport look ... Is she a lingerie model?

https://m.news.nate.com/view/20250920n01840?mid=e01

On the 17th, Moon Gayoung showed up at the airport on her way to an overseas event wearing an oversized jumper over a lace slip dress and completed her chic airport look with a black mini bag along with logo earrings. The sheer material of her dress sparked mixed reactions.

Her overly revealing dress was criticized for disrupting the overall tone of the outfit, especially compared to her casual outerwear. What drew attention was that the dress she wore is categorized and sold as 'underwear' on the brand's official website.

She seems to be toning down the exposure of her dress with the jumper, aiming for a 'chic balance.' However, the striking presence of the dress resulted in an impression of 'someone who threw a jumper over their underwear,' rather than an 'effortlessly chic' look. The public seems to have grown tired of overly revealing fashion as they reacted with comments like, 'I thought it looked like pajamas. Turns out it actually is,' 'How do you walk around outside wearing underwear?' and 'If this is the world of fashion, I'll never understand it.'

This is not the first time Moon Gayoung shown her interest in lingerie looks. She previously was seen wearing a full-body see-through outfit that showed her underwear, sheer dress that looked like a lingerie, and a completely see-through lace corset dress. The locations may change, but she has consistently been wearing lingerie and revealing outfits. This recent airport look prompts her old pictures to resurface once again.

She can certainly make her presence stand out without relying on revealing outfits. Given her sophisticated aura, perhaps she could set aside her 'lingerie' concept and instead showcase her own unique charm.

-Ah... That's obviously underwear. Tsk tsk. That doesn't look good.

-I love Moon Gayoung, but she doesn't suit revealing clothesㅠㅠ She looks way prettier when she dresses modestly. It's a shame. It seems like even when she gets attention for her revealing outfits, it just leaves her with negative articles and imageㅠㅠ

-People who say that she suits these looks are even worse.

-Is being pretty all that matters? Does that make it okay for you to walk around in public wearing underwear? If you think that's okay, then you guys should go walk around outside in your underwear too.

-How is this any different from wearing bathrobe to the convenience store?

-Clothes you wear at home should stay at home.

-Maybe she's wearing that because it's sponsored??

-Isn't that an underwear??? Why would you wear that outside?;;

-The issue here is not the skin exposure itself... It's that she literally came out wearing underwear...

-Judging by the hate comments, I thought she was just wearing a bra or something.

-Going to the airport in underwear is harmful.

-I'm genuinely curious... When she goes through airport security, does she take off her outerwear and pass through in that dress? That would be so embarrassing.

-It just looks like a dress to me... Why is the reaction so negative?

-What's the big deal? It's not like she's hurting anyone. It's no different than wearing hair rollers in public.

-Attention seeker.
