EXO Baekhyun to start variety show activities ... Joins 'The Great Escape Reboot' as new member

EXO member Baekhyun is making his return to variety shows.

According to an exclusive report by Star News on the 28th, Baekhyun has been confirmed to star on the TVing original variety show 'The Great Escape: Reboot'.

'The Great Escape: Reboot' is Korea's large-scale adventure variety show that takes place in a time-transcending stage. The show first aired in July 2018, and quickly became popular due to its groundbreaking world-building, extraordinary sets, and large-scale production. The show then released Season 2 in 2019, Season 3 in 2020, and Season 4 in 2021.

However, after the departure of the main director, Jeong Jongyeon PD, from CJ ENM in 2022, production of a new season was temporarily halted. Jeong Jongyeon PD later joined the production company TEO, founded by PD Kim Taeho, and launched the Netflix variety show 'Agents of Mystery.'

ADOR, protecting their child ... "Takes legal action against NewJeans' haters"

ADOR has not given up on NewJeans. Amid the ongoing exclusive contract dispute with NewJeans, ADOR has announced that they are taking legal action against malicious commenters.

On the 27th, ADOR posted a notice on the official fan community platform 'Weverse,' stating, "We are taking regular legal action against individuals who have posted malicious comments, defamation, insults, sexual harassment, malicious slander, and the use of derogatory terms against NewJeans. We will provide an update on the progress of these actions."

They continued, "As a result of previous legal actions, legal punishments have been carried out for several criminal acts. The Supreme Court has finalized a fine of millions of won for an individual who spread and sold fake pornographic pictures using the artist's faces. Several defendants who posted highly offensive comments have been sentenced to fines."

ADOR emphasized, Ador emphasized, "In the process of legal action regarding the infringement of the artists' rights, we are responding strictly with a zero-tolerance policy, and we will continue to monitor all domestic and international channels in real time, gathering evidence and taking strong legal action to hold them accountable even if it takes time."

Meanwhile, on the 28th of last month, NewJeans held an emergency press conference in which all members stated that ADOR, as their agency, lacked the ability and will to fulfill their most important responsibility which is 'protecting NewJeans.' They claimed that the exclusive contract was terminated due to ADOR's fault.

Although NewJeans declared to 'be independent' without waiting for legal judgment, ADOR has filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract.

Despite this, NewJeans has opened a personal channel called "Jeanzforfree" without prior consultation with their agency.

Song Mino's alleged 'negligent service,' only went to work 2-3 times in 10 months...? "He just played games even when he went to work"

New testimonies continue to surface regarding the allegations of negligent military service that Winner's Song Mino is currently facing.

On the December 27th broadcast of SBS 'Curious Stories Y', the episode focused on Song Mino, who has been embroiled in a controversy over his negligent military service.

A witness, referred to as 'A', who claimed to have observed Song Mino while he was serving at the parking department of the Facilities Management Corporation, stated, "I believe Song Mino started in March last year. He was excused from telephone duties to avoid exposing his name and was refrained from handling civil complaints to avoid getting his face recognized."

He continued, "At first, he came to work regularly, but after some time, he didn't come for a whole week. At worst, I'd see him once or twice a month. Later on, he hardly ever showed up."

Song Minho was later transferred to a community facility management role, where an official also pointed out his lack of attendance, stating, “I only saw him two or three times in 10 months.” The official added, “I heard he attended work regularly when he was at the headquarters. There were 200 people watching there, but here, there are only 13 employees."

C, the director who is suspected of having shown favoritism to Song Mino, cautiously responded, "If I say something wrong, it might affect Mino negatively. I'll talk about it later if I get a chance."

A journalist who was investigating Song Mino's allegations reported, "There are reports of him sitting around while playing games or brought a laptop to view his sheet music, and even using a keyboard he brought along. It’s also said that he didn’t spend much time at the workplace.”
