'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.' The role of the Chinese Emperor's envoy Yu Kun. These are parts of my Chinese study notes and audio recordings. A record of a total of 40 days given to me, excluding time for performances, films, and filming schedule. Due to scheduling issues, I began memorizing Chinese lines two weeks before the filming of the drama. I know it's far from perfect, but please see it kindly🙏 I'll cherish these as a memory. -I've seen him in other works. He always gives his all in every role he taeks.

-Because of that effort, he shines as an actor!

-I thought he was someone who spoke Chinese well. That's impressive.

-Even putting the pronunciation aside, just memorizing that many lines is something I already consider amazing.

-Whoa... To put in so much effort for the drama and his character... He's so cool and amazing.

'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty' star Lee Joo-an reveals the reason behind his military exemption: "I donated 70% of my liver to my mother"

Lee Joo-an (29), who gained attention for his role as Gong-gil in the drama 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty,' opened up about the story behind donating part of his liver to his mother.

In an interview with SPOTV News on the 1st, following the conclusion of tvN's popular weekend drama 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty' on the 28th of last month, Lee Joo-an shared his story.

When asked about his military service, he revealed, "Actually, I was exempt. When I was 22, I donated a part of my liver to my mother. As a result, I was given a military exemption." Lee Joo-an recalled, "My mother had liver problems before. I was contacted that she had lost consciousness, her condition had suddenly worsened due to cirrhosis and other issues. I rushed to the hospital. She needed an emergency surgery and I agreed to the transplant.

Fortunately, his mother's condition improved after the surgery and is now happily watching her son gaining attention for starring in 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.'

Lee Joo-an shared, "Right now, I just feel happy. My mom is overjoyed. I feel like I've finally given her the chance to proudly say, 'My son is an actor.' She tells me that everyone knows Gon-gil from 'Bon Appétit, You Majesty.' Even though we're apart, that makes me feel at ease."

 Lee Chaemin shared his thoughts on 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty' Season 2, saying, "Looking at the reactions, people were asking, 'Is there going to be a Season 2?' That made me realized, 'Whoa, so people actually enjoyed watching this drama.' I'm also curious like, 'What if we did a Season 2?' I even thought, 'Maybe it could be about Lee Heon adapting to the modern day.' But still, I think it's right for Lee Heon's story to end in the historical setting.
