Genie Music Awards cancel their award ceremony and red carpet


As the nation is currently mourning the unfortunate accident that happened, Genie Music Awards decided to hold the awards ceremony in as quiet and calm of an atmosphere as possible, out of the desire to mourn together with the nation. 

In order to keep our promise to the many fans who have been eagerly awaiting the 2022 Genie Music Awards, which marks our first offline ceremony in three years, we will hold the award ceremony on a small scale. We ask for your understanding in regard to the fact that we inevitably had to cancel the red carpet and on-site reporting. 

The award ceremony will be recorded and broadcast later. The broadcast date is to be announced.

Thank you for all the attention you have given to Genie Music Awards. Once again, we kindly ask for your understanding.

I didn't know Stray Kids has a lot of great songs

F*ck... They have a lot of great side-tracks. I think their title tracks are good as well. 

You guys have to check out Spread My Wings. The lyrics are amazing. I think everybody will like this song.

I can't choose one because I like all of them. 
However, in terms of quality, I'd choose Red Velvet's. In terms of addicting, I'd choose After Like but I'm really into NXDE lately. Shut Down is a great song as well, it's just that I haven't listened to it a lot...ㅋㅋ

Why does NewJeans' Hanni never recreate this look again?ㅜㅜ

 

This style looks f*cking pretty on her. But she only did this look once in the MV and never recreated it again...

Fans' divided opinions on: Giving up the choreography so they can sing live with hand mics VS focused on the choreography and performance and sing with in-ear mics instead

 



Examples of singers who are less focused on their performance or choreography to sing live perfectly with hand mics
(These are the perfect female singers' performances I just watched recently, so I'm posting it here)



1. I prefer idols who are less focused on their choreography or performance so that they can focus more on their live singing with hand mics

2. I prefer idols who sing with in-ear mics so they can focus more on their choreography or performance

-I prefer it when idols sing with hand mics because sometimes you can't hear them when they sing with in-ear mics

-1... Go watch some dancers if you want to see them dancing more than singing. They're singers in the first place. 

-It's different for each song. I think it's better for idols to use in-ear mics when they perform songs with a difficult or detailed choreography

-1 with no doubt. They're singers, so they should be singing...

-I can't believe this gets divided opinions. The right answer is #1, they're not dancers. 

-Idols who are truly amazing can still be focused with their choreography either with hand mics or in-ear mics 

-Using in-ear mics don't necessarily mean they're bad singers

-I think performance is one of the most important aspects for idols, so #2 for me

-ITZY nailed performing Wannabe live with hand mics, though?

-It's up to the singers... Anything they feel comfortable with

-Hand mics for concerts, in-ear mics for music shows
