Go Soo x Oh My Girl's Arin to star in tvN 'Summer Love Machine Blues' as main characters

 According to the reports, Go Soo and Arin will be starring in tvN O'PENing 'Summer Love Machine Blues'. tvN O'PENing is a short drama project curated from the winning entries of the O'PEN contest, a rookie storyteller support program by CJ ENM.

K-Drama that's currently under controversy abroad

 ENA Wed-Thu drama 'Borah! Debora'

In her dialogue, Yoo Inna mentioned the 'Auschwitz concentration camp', a Nazi extermination camp during World War 2. She talked about how she feels lonely as a single woman but she still tries to dress up, and used The Holocaust as a metaphor for her situation. This scene has become a hot topic overseas. 

 It seems like they used a controversial Tweet from Twitter for their dialogue. Obviously, that tweet had received a lot of backlash at that time. 


The moment you give up on improving your appearance, a lot of things go wrong. I'm not saying that you should get plastic surgery and do full makeup. Even in the Auschwitz concentration camp, they said that people who give up on their appearance were the first ones to fall apart. 

-Well, then you guys don't even bother taking showers and just go around wearing your shirt that has stretched neckband. Make sure to show up at your wedding like that and go to job interviews with a bare face~~ If you grow your hair 5cm below your ears, you will die~ That's all!

-I was deeply moved by that book, it wasn't about 'improving one's appearance'. It's about how even though there was no point in showering with dirty water in the concentration camp, showering was a kind of ritual and the last way to maintain the sanity of those who were dying. That book was written by an actual survivor. Why are you twisting their words?

The reason why Jewish people did that at the time was because it was an act of hope to survive and maintain their dignity.

It's chilling to hear her saying that in the concentration camp when given a cup of water, they chose to drink half of it and washed their face with the rest, and they even shaved with a piece of glass...

-Did they really not know that dialogue could be controversial? I'm sure they wouldn't quote that tweet if they realized it was controversial, though...

-What? Did they really write that dialogue? It's really shocking... No one even bothered to review the dialogue??? I can't believe these people are making dramas... To be honest, the production team seems to be really thoughtless...

-They're bringing an embarrassment to our country... I wonder why on earth did they write that kind of dialogue...

Jung Haein and Im Siwan go to Scotland ... Launch a variety show about alcohol and traveling

On the 16th, Star News exclusively reported that Jung Haein and Im Siwaan will depart for Scotland in the afternoon of the same day to film a new JTBC variety show. 

The title of the new program the two will star in is 'Actors on Trip: '88s First Time Traveling Together'. The show is directed by Oh Cheong PD, who previously worked for Olive 'Chicken Road' and tvN 'Taxi'. 

Jung Haein and Im Siwan will visit a famous whiskey distillery in Scotland and are expected to showcase content that combines alcohol and travel.

Looks like female idols have really small builds

 



I'm shocked to see the shirt she wore when she was in elementary school still fit her now

-Well... I can force myself to wear the clothes I wore in elementary school too, but I'm sure it'll rip in the endㅋㅋㅋ

-I don't think the size of her body is the matter here. I'm sure she must've grown taller as she gets older, right...?

-I still wear the same pajamas I wore in elementary school, though....ㅎ I barely grew any taller since thenㅎ
