Wonder Girls' former member Sunye, "I became the biggest traitor for getting married"

 

Sunye, who made her return as an idol after getting married, and her best friend, 2AM's Jokwon reveal their thoughts on the things that are forbidden for idols, especially about dating and marriage. Jokwon introduced himself, "I am an idol from Gen 2. I'm still an idol right now." Sunye continued as she laughed, "Frankly speaking, I became the biggest traitor in the idol industry for getting married."

Jokwon said, "You broke the mold. Sunye somehow is like something that was trapped inside a box, but she broke the mold. Why can't idols be married? Sunye broke that stigma."

Jokwon added, "In the end, being an idol is the process of being an artist and an icon." Sunye agreed, "That's right. I've been wanting to talk about this. People always talk about how the career of an idol usually only lasts for 6 to 7 years. They think idols need to retire once they reach that point." Jokwon said, "I hope people would stop having the prejudice that only people in their 10s can be idols."

Sunye said, "I'm really lucky to be able to do what I love again. I want to say that 'I still can work (as an idol) even though I got married, even though my work is limited. However, idols can get married and come back to the industry, just like me. I hope people would be more open about that in the future."

Why is Sullyoon good at singing?

I know the title sounds really weirdㅋㅋㅋ I mean, people with that look are usually bad at singing, no?

I have never felt betrayed just because someone is good at singing...

I know that NMIXX's members are all talented. I just watched their practice video and I was surprised because Sullyoon sounds so much better than I thought.

[+91][-0] That's funny because I questioned that tooㅠ The visual members in idol groups are usually not outstanding in terms of vocal, but that doesn't apply to Sullyoon and that's really fascinating. (G)I-DLE's Miyeon and Aespa's Winter look like they're good at singing, it's written on their faces somehow. But not with Sullyoon. I was really surprised when I learned that she's an amazing singer. 

2. [+86][-0] Sullyoon's ambition for singing has grown since she debuted (She's the best singer in the group right after Lily and Haewon). That made her receive vocal lessons and practice singing even more. 

3. [+75][-2] I know rightㅋㅋㅋ When I first saw her, I thought she was so f*cking gorgeous. So I expected her skills to be below the average or maybe just a decent singer at most. I didn't expect her to be such an amazing singer. It's like a fraud.
