The reason why I feel like articles about The Rose member's drug charges was maliciously written

The Rose debuted in 2017

They gained popularity after participating in JTBC Superband in 2019

They appeared in a lot of TV shows and have never been swept up in any drugs rumors

Kim Woosung was caught for drugs before his debut, but he received a suspended sentence and there's no record of it. That's why broadcasting stations couldn't ban him from appearing on their shows, because they didn't know about it.

After a long hiatus due to disputes with their company and military service, The Rose drew attention from fans after guesting on TV, but industry insiders had mixed views on this. The reason is because KBS and Park Jaebum chose Kim Woosung (30) during a time when the entertainment industry was stirred up by drug scandals of public figures such as Don Spike and Yoo Ah-in.

Amidst the drug scandals that are hitting the entertainment industry, some industry insiders speculated, "It seems that Kim Woosung was cast not only because of his talent but also due to his friendship with Park Jaebum". The two of them are known to have become friends through their common point of being overseas singers who are active in Korea.

Reporter Kim Jiha wrote an article that became sensational by linking the two of them, saying that Park Jaebum personally chose The Rose to star in his show. However, the basis of this claim is only groundless speculation from music industry insiders.

The team denied the suspicion that The Rose was cast due to Kim Woosung's friendship with Park Jaebum. KBS official added, "The production team had standards for casting. They didn't know about his drug charges from 7 years ago."

It was necessary to reveal the crime that nobody knew about, they did the right thing. However, it is absurd to use speculation to unnecessarily involve innocent people and make them explain the whole situation.

-I felt like the article was written to target Park Jaebum;

-I think they mentioned Park Jaebum for click-bait, because they know they wouldn't be able to get views if the article was just about The Rose's member's drug charges...

-How could they know about the record, if it happened before he debuted? It's not like they can ask every single guest for their criminal records... It seems like the article was maliciously written in a way that implies they knew about his record and still decided to cast him.

-I think they used Park Jaebum's name for click-bait. They linked Park Jaebum in this article because Kim Woosung's name alone wouldn't attract as much attention?

-They should've just reported Kim Woosung's drug charges... Why did they link him to Park Jaebum?

-I think they linked KBS and Park Jaebum because they wouldn't generate buzz just by mentioning The Rose's Kim Woosung. I also think the reason why that article gained so many comments in the first place was due to Park Jaebum's name in the title. If Park Jaebum hadn't been mentioned, I don't think there would've been that many comments on the post.

-Journalists should write articles based on facts, not on their speculations!

-If it happened before his debut, it would be difficult for broadcasting stations to know unless he discloses it himself.

-I think they're just using Park Jaebum's name for clicks
