Hellbound ranks #1 in Top Netflix Shows world wide

theqoo

-It's cruel, tense, and also profound. No wonder why it's really popular.

-This is such a really great show. I finished all 6 episodes in one sitting.

-This drama deserves thatㅋㅋㅋ I just finished watching the show today. Each episode hangs you on the edge of the cliff, there's no way you can stop watching it midway.

-I can't wait for Season 2 to be released

-It's nice to see Korean historical drama ranks in The World Chartㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I thought it would be a drama about cults like Save Meㅋㅋㅋㅋ The show is so freaking scaryㅠㅠ

-Korean dramas are slaying. I hope Hellbound will stay on the world chart for a long time.

-I'm currently watching the show and it's really really good. Kim Hyun-joo is so freaking cool, she nailed the action scenesㅠㅠㅜ

-The fact that The King's Affection is #9 shocks me even more...ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-How do foreigners discover Korean dramas?? I'm really curious...

-Korean shows are taking over Netflix nowㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Honestly, I think Hellbound is way better than Squid Game...

-The fact that Squid Game still ranks #2ㅋㅋㅋㅋ That is so cool...

-It's a really good dramaㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Let's go for Season 2!

The country whose Netflix Top 10 TV Shows are all K-Dramas

theqoo

-I have an Indonesian friend. She really loves Hometown Cha Cha Cha and won't stop telling me to watch itㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-At this point, we can speak in Korean in Indonesia and people would still understand us

-Indonesia is an important market to us, especially since they have a big population...

-I'm always thankful for Indonesia<3

-Whoa... Wasn't Eru like... super famous in Indonesia??

-Isn't Indonesia that country that had BTS, Blackpink, and Twice as their guests in Tokopedia...? Their lineup for that show is even better than our lineup for awards ceremonies...

-Why Empress Ki?? How could an old drama make it up to the Top 10 TV Shows there?

-Whoa... Even the Top 10 TV Shows list in our own country isn't like that... This is amazing...

-I really want to go to Indonesia for a vacation...

-I've been to Indonesia before and when I turned on the TV, they were airing a Korean drama with some dubbing on...

-Indonesians really do love Korean dramasㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-They're the 4th country with the biggest population in the world...

-Thank you Indonesia, two thumbs up!!

-Wasn't Reply 1988 from like... years ago?? It's really amazing how it still ranks in the Top 10 now...

-They really like various genres of K-Dramas...

-I really want to go to Indonesia!!!

-I have only watched one of the K-Dramas on the list...ㅋㅋㅋ This is really fascinating...

-I think they have watched more K-Dramas than I have ever watched in my life...

A white girl who hesitates about her dream of becoming a Kpop Idol because of her race

Luna: I want to become a Kpop idol, but I don't think I will be accepted in South Korea because I'm not Asian.

Crew: What if you got an offer to become a trainee?

Luna: I would be very happy, but I think I have to give it a lot of thought first. Because I don't think people in South Korea like it to see a foreigner who's not Asian become an idol. I don't know what to do.

The other UHSN girls relate to Luna's concern

Maria: There are opinions from foreigners who like Kpop that you shouldn't become a Kpop idol if you are not Asian.

The girls debate whether they should let go of their dream of becoming a Kpop idol.

instiz

-I hope Kpop will become huge that it will just be a part of the music genre...

-30 years ago, teenagers in Korea used to look at TLC and wish they could be them and now it's the total opposite. It's very shocking for me.

-We already have a lot of foreigners in the industry, after all...

-We're fine as long as you come from a country that doesn't have any controversies. Also if you respect our country and speak Korean well, your race wouldn't be a problem for us.

-So far, I still prefer Korean becoming Kpop idols...

-I think I've seen half-Koreans become idols but I have never seen a fully white person become a Kpop idol...

-It's not that we don't accept you because of your race, we just simply think it wouldn't create a good a harmonious group if there's a foreignerㅜㅜ

-I don't care about your race, however, you have to sing in Korean. That's all you have to do. That's what I call Kpop.

-Blackpink's Lisa looks very different from us, Korean, but isn't she very successful? As long as they're charming, signed under a good company, have great songs, and talented, I don't think there's anything impossible...

-As long as you have the talent and skills, I don't really care about your race and will still like you.

-However, if you speak Korean fluently and embrace the culture, I think it's possible and there's nothing you can't do. That's how I feel when I see Maria on Mr. Trot. It wouldn't be easy, but it's not entirely impossible.

-If you understand the culture of idols in Korea, I think you'll have great potential. It may be difficult, considering the culture difference their country may experience, though.

-It upsets me to see that there are still a lot of people who don't welcome foreigners to become Kpop idols.

Starship upcoming girl group, IVE Ahn Yujin's profile

-She's so beautiful, I hope she'll consider becoming an actress one day...

-She's so beautiful I can't stop looking at her...

-What is she so pretty for...ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

-Are they coming with 'tough' concept...? But Jang Wonyoung suits girly concept more...

-I think the cameras can never capture her actual beauty... She's gorgeous...

-Her eyes are so big and beautiful...

-I'd believe it if someone told me she was a rookie actress...

-Ahn Yujin and Jang Wonyoung in one group is way too good for Starship...

-The second picture shocked me... How could they do that to such a beautiful girl??

-Yujin is always beautiful but I don't think the second picture is her best picture...? I feel like, they could've done better at taking her picture...? However, I have to admit that she looks really gorgeous in the first picture...

-The second picture makes her look like she's playing a character of a trainee who's preparing her debut in a dramaㅋㅋㅋ

-She looks like an actress...

-They're not going to come up with girl crush concept, right?ㅜㅜ Please no...

'I have 4 mothers, I am afraid of marriage' ... Tony Ahn's confession

On the episode of Channel A's Oh Eunyoung Golden Counseling Center that aired on the 29th, Tony Ahn says, 'Even when the thoughts of marriage come to me, I worry if I would ever become a good husband or father'. He continues, 'Marriage means spending the rest of your life with that one person. If I can't be a good man or father, wouldn't I harm a lot of people?'.

Oh Eunyoung proceeds to ask about the marriage life of his parents, to which Tony Ahn replies, 'My parents got divorced when I was 6. I have four mothers. 1 biological mother and 3 step mothers'.

He was asked if his father married three times, to which he answers 'It's true (he married 3 times). If I ever get married, would it be a good marriage? I've gone through such childhood, sometimes it makes me think if I would go through the same thing (as my father did)'.

Tony Ahn also reveals that alcohol was the main reason behind the conflict between his father and step mothers. He says, 'I think alcohol has a big influence behind this. He talks in a really harsh way when he drinks, I avoid him too'.

When asked about what kind of person his father is, Tony Ahn replies, 'I think this is a very difficult question. First of all, I see him as someone who did a great job raising me. Even if I couldn't feel it back then. I would think, 'Does my father love me?'. I had a hard time understanding him. I think we started sharing conversations ever since I started drinking with him. He somehow started seeing me as a friend that he feels comfortable being around with. Not too long after that, he passed away'.

theqoo

-Seems like he wasn't a good father afterall. He gave such a hard time to both his son and wives.

-I had no idea that he went through this all. I saw my mom crying while watching this episode but I didn't know the context of it.

-I have two moms as well, it's very hard for me...

-I can totally understand why he feels afraid of marriage. It seems like he's afraid he might turn out to be someone like his fatherㅠㅠ

-Hul... What did his son do wrong to deserve this?

-No matter how much you hate that person and swear to yourself that you won't let yourself be that kind of person... In the end, you can't help but be that person...

-Oh Eunyoung said in the show, 'You and your father are two different people. You and your father grew up in a different environment and have different pasts. It's impossible for the two of you to be alike'.

-I hope he gets to meet a good person and wish him all the happiness he deserves

-It hurts me just to read this post. What did he do wrong to deserve all of that?

-This Oppa deserves to be so much happier...

-I went through the same thing and decided to not get married at all. It has a big influence on making who you are right now, it shouldn't be taken easily.

-No wonder why he seems to have a lot of concerns about marriage...

-My heart hurts to know this...

'A company canceled my employment because I don't want to get vaccinated' ... A job applicant talks about how the country won't hire you if you're unvaccinated

A company canceled my employment because I'm not getting a vaccination.

I just passed a job interview and I am supposed to start working next Monday. But the company called me and asked me if I am vaccinated, to which I answered I am not. I also told them that I don't have any plans to get vaccinated in the future because I'm afraid of the side effects. They apologized and told me that they no longer can hire me. They should've mentioned that during the job interview. I already declined a job offer from another company because of them. I am very taken aback.

To this post, another netizen also spoke up about their experience, 'After applying, I got a message that I got the job. Along with it said, 'We only hire those who are fully vaccinated. If you are not fully vaccinated, your employment is canceled'. I am avoiding getting vaccinated so that I don't die. The world is going crazy'. Other netizens also speak up their thoughts, 'What kind of company is that?', 'So people are getting left out because they are not vaccinated'. Some think the opposite, 'Do they think that they don't have to get vaccinated just because the others are getting vaccinated and the herd immunity will be achieved?', 'If I were the director of that company, I wouldn't hire them (unvaccinated people) too'.

instiz

-I don't know much, but how can you not get vaccinated if you work for a company? Everyone is equally scared and doesn't want to get vaccinated, but they still get it.

-It's totally your right to get vaccinated or not. However, you should bear the consequences that come along with your choice, right? Do you think we're all not scared of getting vaccinated?

-Of course, they won't hire you if you told them you don't have any plans on getting vaccinated at all...

-You could've just said that you are going to get vaccinated...

-It's your right to get vaccinated or not. But it's also the company's right to accept only those who are vaccinated. If you don't like that policy, go find another company. The company would've risked a lot if they accepted you, who are unvaccinated. How could you write that post as if you just did a good thing?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Just like it is your freedom to get vaccinated or not, it's the company's freedom to only accept those who are vaccinated^^

-If I work for the company, I wouldn't have hired you too. You not getting vaccinated just because you're scared of it makes it sound like you would reject the company's request when they ask you to do something.

-Yes, the company is also wrong for not telling that before the interview. But they probably think you're already vaccinated because everyone is lately. I think the other companies also have a similar policy regarding vaccination.

-Just like you not getting vaccinated because you're scared, the company is not hiring you because they're scared as well.

-You should've used another reason. If I work for the company, I wouldn't hire you too...
