A male idol from Mnet Audition Program, Produce 101, in his 20s is sentenced after trespassing his girlfriend's house while bringing a knife, threatening her to keep dating him as he choked her.
According to Kim Taegyun, a senior judge at Seoul Central District Court, A (26) is sentenced to 1 year in prison and 2 years of probation on charges of injury, threatening, and trespassing. The court also ordered A of 80 years of community service.
After being investigated, it was revealed back in October 2021, B (Victim) who at the time was still A's girlfriend asked for a breakup. A trespassed her house through the balcony. A choked B with his arm as B tried to escape, then he dragged her into the living room. A pointed a knife, which he acquired from the kitchen, at B and forced B to keep dating him. A started to strangle B when she still said no. Hearing B's scream, a neighbor came to check on her. A ordered B to keep quiet as he pointed the knife at her.
The court revealed, "The victim received a huge shock and is going through a hard time because of what happened. She still can't forgive the defendant". The court also said, "The defendant confessed about what happened. It seems like the crime was accidentally committed"
