We would like to clarify and correct the false claims among the contents regarding our company and artists that were raised today.

LE SSERAFIM did not receive any special treatment or unfair advantages in the process of being selected as an ambassador for a specific brand. Their connection with the brand began in April 2022 when Sakura signed a contract with them. Following the satisfying result, a discussion of expanding the ambassadorship to a team-level was initiated through the brand's Japan office, and it eventually was agreed upon. This process was completely unrelated to any other artists. We have objective evidence to prove this and are fully prepared to provide legal explanations at any time if necessary.

Additionally, the claims regarding NewJeans’ debut timeline and process are also very different from the actual facts. Our company fully supported NewJeans members in their debut preparations until they were transferred to ADOR. However, former ADOR CEO Min Heejin spread false information during her press conference last April. In response, we filed a damages lawsuit against former CEO Min Heejin last July and the case is currently ongoing. We deeply regret that these one-sided claims were made without any effort to verify the facts and we expect that these claims will be corrected through future trials.

Mentioning an artist's real name based on unconfirmed and inaccurate information is an irresponsible and serious act that shouldn't be done to any artist. One-sided claims like this not only cause fellow artists to receive criticism, but also create misconceptions among fans and the public, and there's also a risk of creating an environment where unfounded rumors spread uncontrollably.

We take this situation very seriously and will take all necessary legal actions to address it.

Yesterday and today, there have been a flood of speculative articles regarding Hanni's residency status in South Korea, and false information is spreading. We want to clarify the situation.

Hanni obtained a new visa yesterday (2/11) through proper procedures. 

Hanni and her parents were pressured by ADOR, using the 'visa' issue, which is a sensitive issue for foreigners living in South Korea. ADOR demanded Hanni to sign a visa extension consent form that lists ADOR as her agency. They even sent emails stating that if Hanni didn't agree, she could become an illegal resident. Additionally, ADOR submitted documents requiring personal information and her signature to the authorities without her consent and only notified her about it afterward, which is unacceptable.

Some media outlets have been carelessly using the term 'illegal resident' based on unconfirmed facts, spreading false rumors, and causing unnecessary public complaints. They also spread false information by stating the source of the information as 'Anonymous Official in the Music Industry' regarding the progress of Hanni's visa, which can only be confirmed with personal information. Although today's articles stated that 'ADOR could not confirm' the situation, the first reports claimed that 'ADOR prepared and applied all the documents for (Hanni's) visa extension, but she refused to sign.'

Around 70 articles have been published just yesterday and today, speculating on the type and expiration date of her visa, which is personal information and not meant to be publicly disclosed. We express deep regret that sensitive information, that only ADOR and the person in question know, has been recklessly spread through the media.

Using or disclosing personal information without consent is unacceptable. We believe that publishing such unverified information is also a serious issue. In the past, there were incidents where individual members' personal information was used to track their immigration records, and the situation is getting more severe. To protect the members, we are considering taking legal action.

Rep. Park Jiwon of the Democratic Party talked about the expiration of NewJeans Hanni's visa during the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee meeting.
