'Starlight Boys' is a Korean-Chinese survival show that is joined by numerous experienced participants from groups like BAE173, Fantasy Boys, MIRAE, etc.

He previously competed in IST's survival show, which debuted ATBO. He made it to the debut lineup, but his debut was canceled due to a school violence controversy.

I'm one year his junior and I went to the same middle school as #YangDonghwa. Smoking and drinking alcohol were basic things for him. He extorted cigarettes and money from others when he needed to. Not only Junggye Middle School students, but everyone around our school district knew about it. He was friendly to certain friends and juniors back in high school, but he would punch bathroom doors when he got angry.
I was a schoolmate of that Yangddaeng-ie guy. While rumors of him hitting disabled students aren't true, he did bully and mock them. Some kids were bullied so badly, they cried in the bathroom. He also made remarks like, 'If they have dated for that long, they must've slept together right?ㅋㅋㅋ' about students who were dating and made jokes about it with his friends. Back in elementary school, he made his homeroom teacher, who never got angry, outraged. He also made jokes about my parents like, 'Your mom's a b*tch*'ㅎ Smoking and drinking alcohol were basic things for him.
I was using the searching engines and came here because of that 'Yang' guyㅜ I'm his junior back in middle school and from what I remember, I think he bullied a disabled student? A student from my year reported him and he got disciplined for it..ㅎㅎ
Despite all of this, he actually released a solo album back in February because he's signed with an agencyㅋ
He is currently gaining attention for his skills in the survival show and getting a lot of screen time, so his ranking is likely to keep rising. Honestly, the fact that the production team even allowed him on the show shows how f*cking thoughtless they are.
Korean votes are practically meaningless in this survival show (It's dominated by Chinese' paid votes + it isn't aired widely, so most people don't even know it exists)
It's mostly foreign fans who are voting for him.
Among them, those who expose truths about him are being mobbed with comments like, "Do you even have the proof it happened?" or "He's already been forgiven, isn't that enough?"
As I said above, there are almost no Korean fans.
There are also foreign fans who don't even know about his controversy.
And even though Yang Donghwa himself admitted to the school violence, there are still foreign fans who claim it's just a rumor. So I'm writing this for them to see!
If his controversy resurfaces in South Korea, I'm sure they'll f*cking see it.
I hope he would step down from the show and stop causing harm to other trainees who joined this show because they're desperate and it's the last chance they have.

Debuting with someone like that would definitely be a minus for the group. Are there really no better contestants for this survival show?
