"Keeping promises to fans" Sung Sikyung and Lim Youngwoong to hold concerts as scheduled ... Rowoon's fan meeting to proceed

Despite the national mourning period declared until January 4th due to the Jeju Air plane crash, singers Sung Sikyung, Lim Youngwoon, and Lee Younghyun are proceeding with their scheduled concerts. Actor Rowoon will also hold his fan meetings as planned. They have decided to keep their promises to their fans and continue with their scheduled events.

According to a report by TenAsia on the 30th, Sung Sikyung will hold his year-end concert, 'Sung Sikyung,' at KSPO Dome on the 31st. Lee Younghyun will meet fans on the same day at COEX Auditorium with a concert titled 'For You Who Need My Songs.' Lim Youngwoong will perform four shows as part of his concert 'Lim Youngwoon's Recital' at Gocheok Sky Dome from January 2nd to 4th. Rowoon will also hold his fanmeeting, '2024 Rowoon Fanmeeting That Year, Through the Winter' at Yonsei University's Grand Hall on the 31st to interact with fans.

Since these events are taking place during a period of national mourning, it is expected that the performing artists and the audience will have a moment to mourn the victims of the recent tragedy and their families. Additionally, there is a possibility that the concert's setlist and overall tone may be adjusted.

An industry insider told TenAsia, "It would've been difficult to cancel year-end concerts as they have special meaning and planning by fans. Isn't it the duty of an artist to keep their promises to their fans?"

The insider added, "Regardless of whether concerts or events are canceled, it’s important that everyone finds their own way to express condolences during this period."

-How can they suddenly cancel everything? There are so many people whose livelihoods depend on this. It's not like it's a broadcast. They should just proceed.

-The ones who are still alive need to keep living.

-It's not easy to cancel concerts because of the penalties.

-There are so many staff members and related people involved in these events. What can they do? They'll probably proceed with heavy hearts.

-Those who canceled or postponed events must've made a very difficult decision... But events that are already scheduled need to go on. Even those in the entertainment industry need to make a living tooㅠㅜ

-I can't really blame them. There are people whose livelihoods depend on this.

-People are still going to work, after all.

-I understand those who cancel their events and those who continue holding their events.

-Like with Jaurim, they could hold a moment of silence at the beginning and end of the show.

-Yesterday, Sung Sikyung also gave a message of condolence before starting his concert.

-Just because they're having a concert doesn't mean they're not mourning. There are a lot of stakes involved, and with businesses struggling these days, I think continuing is the right call.

-Everyone’s working to make a living. Those involved in this events are no different.

-I agree with all these commentsㅠㅜ Honestly, I wish even award shows would just go onㅠㅜ

-We’re all continuing our daily lives, so it's fine as long as we don't do things like fireworks.
