After several years, a director has finally been chosen for 'Goong' remake

Director/Wirter Jung Junghwa

Project Description
Movie director, drama director, writer
Debut: Movie 'Lost and Found' 2008
Awards: The Grand Prize at the 23rd Fukuoka Asian Film Festival in 2009 (Lost and Found)

Dramas:
2024 'Goong' Reboot
2022 SBS 'Woori the Virgin'
2019 JTBS 'The Wind Blows'

Looks like it's going to be produced soon

-Wow, it's happening.

-Are they really doing it?

-I hope they cast actors who fit the age..

-I wonder if it'll still be popular in this day and age

-There are a lot of dramas that flopped among the ones directed by directors who got attention, so it's not like the production will be a guaranteed hit just because the director is well-known.

-I hope they cast talented young actors like they did in the old days, instead of focusing on originality.

-Honestly, I'm really worried.........

-Finally.

-Whether it's a hit or a flop, I wish they would try it with rookie actorsㅋㅋㅋ Personally, I think image is more important than acting, so it would be nice if they came out with new faces that fit well with their image.

-I hope the casting turns out well.

-Why am I not feeling excited?

-There are many rookies who are good at acting too. Please cast new faces for a refreshing casting.

-I haven't heard of any of his works...

-Because 'Goong' has a traditional aesthetic that has continued to be popular, if they're going to give off a low-budget vibe, they shouldn't even start...

-I'd rather have rookies who fit the image perfectly... Please... Instead idols who can't act but have a good image.

-Both the actors and the aesthetics are very important for 'Goong'...

-I really want to see new faces with good acting skills.

This is an increase of 0.8% from the previous week's episode which had a rating of 3.2%. This is the first time in three months that 'Running Man' achieved this high viewer rating.

theqoo

-I even skipped a family gathering just to watch this episode because of Byun Wooseok. I haven't watched it live for years.

-Wow, it's been years since I watched, the opening was boring and irritating, but as soon as Sunjae came out, it got interesting.

-I watched it live for the first time for Wooseok, I love him so muchㅋㅋㅋ

-Watched it after a long time because of Byun Wooseok... Really, if it weren't for Byun Wooseok, I would have changed the channel. The games and flow were too boring.

-I watched live on TV for the first time in ten years because of Byun Wooseok, but yesterday's episode was really funnyㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I watched 'Running Man' for the first time in my lifeㅋㅋㅋ His face was so fun to look atㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I watched it after a few years because of Byun Wooseok.

-Wow, but how long was the opening? It was so boring I almost died.

-Byun Wooseok's face was the only thing that was fun to watch. It's been a few years since I watched 'Running Man,' I can totally see why the ratings aren't good.

-I don't even remember the last time I watched the live broadcast of 'Running Man'ㅋㅋㅋ

-Wooseok, I love you.

-It's been almost 10 years since I watched 'Running Man'ㅋㅋㅋ

-The members were hilarious, and just seeing Byun Wooseok made me laugh.

-It's the first time I watched the live broadcast since Jeon Somin left.

-Wow, Sunjae is really popular!!

-I watched it to see Wooseok 🥰

To those who don't know what 'Sampling' is, here's an interesting video about it

Just because it sounds similar doesn't mean it's plagiarism.

There's something called sampling.

If the original artist sells the sound as a sample, then you can buy it and make your own music with it.

And if it's been cleared as a sample like that,

you don't have to credit it separately.

Some people foolishly claim it's plagiarism just because it's not credited. Yeah.

theqoo

-Wow, even the first track is fascinatingㅋㅋㅋ

-It means that whether it's plagiarism or not depends on whether the original artist sold it as a sample.

-But since those who accuse of plagiarism don't listen to this explanation, we might as well make it mandatory to credit.

-I'm saying this just in case people blindly accuse of plagiarism again, it's all sampling!!!

-At the point where almost all possible melodies have been used, sampling is practically essential in the music industry now.

-If you buy a sample for sale and create new music with it, the copyright belongs entirely to the new music.

-So Love Dive was sampled? No wonder the beat was crazy.

-Yeah, even artists globally recognized for their musicality like Kanye West, Daft Punk, frequently utilize sampling. Nowadays, how well you incorporate original samples into your songs is also seen as a composer's skill.

-Composers really can't argue against sampling, considering it's part of human and music history coexisting, how can you think that pure creation is possible until 2024? Korea tends to demonize sampling and lacks understanding about it...

-Even designers use templates, so why wouldn't music be the same? It's really frustrating.

-Fascinating.

-Sampling is recognized as a form of re-creation, so unless it's used illegally without clearance, it's natural for the original artist's name not to be credited in the credits.

-Ah, it's really frustrating, so if you can't differentiate between sampling/referencing/plagiarism, just shut up, damn.

-In other words, is sampling like buying images from Getty Images to use in design...? Interesting.

New Jeans' Plagiarism Controversy Article: Original video vs Response video

by Reporter Lee Yuna (The article has been taken down now)

"Plagiarism vs Sampling" Another setback for NewJin? Controversy over 'Bubble Gum' similarity... What will happen to Min Hee-jin criticized for 'copying'?

On the 11th, a video titled "New Jeans' 'Bubble Gum' (Composed by 250) Similarity Comparison to Shakatak's 'Easier Said Than Done'.' The video compared New Jeans' Bubble Gum (Composed by 250, released in 2024) to Shakatak's Easier Said Than Done (Composed by Bill Sharpe & Roger Odell, released in 1982.

In the case of sampling, the original creator's name should be credited during copyright registration. However, the person who posted the video on Youtube emphasized that "Sampling record unknown," which means that the sampling mark is not shown.

(NB: These are the videos that the article mentioned)

The original song has already been sold as a sample. There are over 30 songs made from this sample. If the sample is cleared, you don't have to credit it!!

-Has there been no official statement regarding whether it's sampling or not?

-It's too similar; it could be sampling..

-They haven't even released the song, and people are making a fuss. I heard that there are already over 30 songs that came out with this sampling.

-In cases of free sampling, it's common not to mention the name in the copyright.

-They haven't released the song yet; why are they talking about copyright registration?

-Oh, they'll definitely use this to create negative publicity.

-Oh, is it a remake?

-Isn't it too early to discuss whether it was plagiarized or not, since the song hasn't been released yet?ㅋㅋㅋ We can talk about it after the release...

-Why discuss a song that hasn't even been released yet?

-Let's talk after the album comes out

-It seems like HYBE's back with the media play... It's pissing me off that they're doing this to a song that hasn't even been released yet.

-More than half fo K-pop songs don't credit their samples, right?? Just look it up on Youtube, almost everything is sampled.

-You can tell who's doing thisㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-To see whether it's plagiarism or not, the key is to see if the original song is being sold for sampling purposes. Not being sold > Should be suspected of plagiarism. Being sold > Almost certainly sampling, as 99.9% of the time it is. Because from the composer's perspective, there's no reason to risk plagiarism anymore, as purchasing samples is quite cheap.

-ㅋㅋㅋㅋWow, this is way over the top. It's not even officially released yet? Reallyㅋㅋㅋㅋ Why are they doing this?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-There seem to be many who don't know what sampling isㅋㅋㅋㅋ

A Japanese idol admits that being an idol in Japan is extremely comfortable and free

Q: Because my future dream is to become a K-pop idol, I want to make efforts for that. Is being an idol a difficult profession?

A: Um... I think Japanese idols and Korean idols are completely different. I believe being a Korean idol is really tough. Speaking from my experience, being an idol in Japan is very comfortable. Should I say comfortable? What should I say? Free? We survive without having to focus too much on performance. Of course, they hear various things from people. I think it's really tough to become an idol in Korea because of the high performance level. I don't dance every day. I don't even diet. I just exist cutely.

People wonder why someone who's good at singing would choose to be an idol instead of just being a singer.

-Cute..

-Korea will change like this too soon.

-The word 'idol' in Japan is different from Korea. In Japan, idols who are good at singing and dancing are completely classified as artists. Idols are like the variety entertainers mentioned in the post.

-Being cute is also a skill, isn't it ㅋㅋㅋ

-Reading this makes me frustrated. If HYBE succeeds, Korea will gradually become like that too.

-Well, what can you do if that's how they are? After all, their profession is not a singer but an idol.

-Japanese idols aren't even treated as singers; they don't have singing skills, they just need to show cuteness ㅋ

-Yes, you're cute and all, but it's a problem if you're causing trouble in Korea. Please, let Japanese culture stay in Japan.

-You do you, Japan. I just hope Korea continues to prioritize skills.

-Japanese idols seem to be strict in a different sense when you watch variety shows.

-It's hilarious, but honestly speaking, she looks kinda cute.

-Because the needs of the country are different, there's nothing we can do.

-That's exactly HYBE's mindset
