Hoshi: Honestly, I really want to go solo! However, if everyone does solo activities, it will be hard for the group to have a full-team album. Everyone gave up their individual activities and chose to be a team. 

Seungkwan: Since there's talk about idol singers not having long careers, there's also this "The Curse of 7 Years" for idol singers. Negotiating a renewal at the 7-year mark made us reconsider once again, whether I should look out for our own interests or continue on this path. There are various factors and individual concerns to consider, as well as reconsidering as a team.

Jeonghan: But then, we might misunderstand each other if we say something (that's why we're not saying anything). Because we're not saying anything, it becomes even harder. Despite our good relationship and thoughts of staying togethe, it's still very difficult. It was a time when we truly felt the difficulty of surpassing the 7-year mark and realized how difficult it is to go beyond seven years.


Q: As the youngest member, what were the difficult aspects in contract renewal?

Dino: As I'm still young, there's this recurring question: "Do I really want to be a singer?" There are so many things I can do and so many experiences I want to have, but do I have the desire to dedicate my life to this path?... Is what I'm doing now something that excites me for the future?


Q: What were the specific issues during the contract renewal?

Woozi: The really difficult part was facing reality! It wasn't easy to talk about money and future plans with friends who we always hang out and laugh with. Although we all share the same affection for each other, there came a moment when we had to have really deep conversations even though I didn't want to. I didn't want to see that reality where we had to have those discussions, but we had to. Even though I didn't want to, I had to face it.


Seungkwan: We had to decide on the contract period, like how many years it would be, and also renegotiate the profit ratio. And in a way, we, who used to secretly go to convenience stores, now had to negotiate with the company's staff, so we're not just kids anymore.

S.Coups: It took longer than I expected. The period for contract renewal negotiations was 8-9 months.

Kang Ho-dong: 8-9 months is really long. There could be so many variables and misunderstandings happening during that period of time


Mingyu: I think I tried to start conversations quickly and have many of them. Although the idea of contract renewal felt tremendously big and heavy, to me, it felt like I was just continuing what I've been doing, just a new beginning. I had a strong feeling that we should definitely continue together, so it wasn't difficult to start the conversation.


S.Coups: And (Mingyu) was positive, whether talking about money or anything else. He was really positive when discussing anything. That energy spread and became good energy.

DK: He did well in gathering us

Seungkwan: Usually, each member goes in for a meeting individually, but we thought, 'Let's not make it awkward by going in individually. Let's go in as a group from the beginning.'

DK: We didn't want to break

Seungkwan: Let's discuss together even if it's among ourselves, that's how we did it.

Normally, meetings are held one by one, but SEVENTEEN went in as a group for contract renewal because they all have the same determination. Besides, it might become awkward to go in individually.

Na Youngsuk thanks Seventeen for the spilled-coffee incident

 

Youngsuk thanks Jeonghan for the time where one of the production staff accidentally spilled coffee and Jeonghan lightening the mood as he turned it into a joke. Youngsuk said the staff must've been really embarrassed at that time, but Jeonghan cleverly eased the situation, for which Youngsuk was grateful. 

Jeonghan is truly a content-creating beastㅋㅋㅋㅋ Maybe that's why he has a quick wit. But he's also very sensible. None of the members showed any signs of being flustered to upset when it happened. They even helped clean up while joking around. 

The staff must've been really anxious after making a mistake. She probably was very grateful for Seventeen's response, I bet she will forever remember it for the rest of her life.

'Fans aren't fish you can catch easily, sigh... I can't even stop them from going away. They need something to hold on to, you know. Otherwise, they'll just go away. 

-There was no Bubble messages or Instagram updates todayㅜㅜ I sent her a message on Bubble, thoughㅜㅜ

-It's not just the agency's fault... If they want to last long, they have to remember where they came from. Fans get tired if there are no group live broadcasts or Bubble messages. That's how they lose interest. I'm in crisis too, I can't imagine how hard is it for the other Neverlandsㅜㅜ


Rather than the live broadcast being so boring... Honestly, it feels even more disheartening because it seems like the members didn't show much enthusiasm for their 6th anniversary...

I understand that the members have a lot of individual schedules and are busy, but back then, they used to come in during breaks. Now, it just feels like they're procrastinating to do their homework... 'I did the live broadcast. It's enough, right?' It's really upsetting to think about it. But Soojin and Miyeon were the most outstanding ones. Especially Miyeon, even after the incident she continued to communicate with fans often. Don't you think Minnie is too severe?

This is the writer's first independent work. It's written by Baek Mikyung, who previously wrote Mine. She also took part as the creator. This drama is directed by SNL and Comedian Big League, so I think it's going to be hilarious.

Fans are curious about the recent behavior of STAYC's company

 First, STAYC made their comeback with Bubble in August last year, and then started their first world tour from September 23rd.

With the addition of the European tour, the world tour ended on March 11th, resulting in an eight-month hiatus until now.



However, their Youtube content has abruptly stopped since February of this year.

A: Yes. For now, it might be comforting to think that there's no Youtube content. It seems like they've changed their marketing strategy to focus more on Youtube Shorts... 😭

The members themselves said that their company plans to focus on Youtube shorts, that's why they said on Bubble that their other Youtube contents wouldn't be available for a while.

Their Youtube content has been stopped for three months nowㅠㅠ

Fans mostly reacted asking why STAYC, who isn't even a TikToker, is focusing on Youtube Shorts. Meanwhile, the company persistently keeps uploading only Youtube Shorts 😱


STAYC originally had regular behind-the-scenes content called Stay:SEE, but it's not being released either... All the videos that should have been released as behind-the-scenes are coming out as Youtube Shorts instead (frustrating).
