Hong Jinkyung Reveals, "A Bigbang Member Kept Getting Upset When Asked About Girlfriend, I Had to Apologize"

During her time as a DJ on KBS Cool FM's 'Hong Jinkyung's Gayo Plaza', Hong Jinkyung reminisced about meeting Big Bang in the past. She revealed, "Back then, when I asked if any of them had a girlfriend, one member responded with 'Aish' and got really annoyed."

She continued, "I felt so sorry and apologized many times for making them uncomfortable," adding, "But I sensed that 'that person has a girlfriend'." She humorously remarked, "While those without girlfriends remained calm, there was someone who kept getting upset alone."

To this, Daesung chimed in, saying, "Even if there wasn't one, there was no need to get annoyed," acknowledging the situation.

During their meal, Daesung served food to Hong Jinkyung. Seeing this, the producer joked, "'Gayo Plaza' must have been tough for you..." Hong Jinkyung responded, "I asked the wrong question. Who asks idols such questions?"

Daesung then defended her, saying, "At that time, idol culture was somewhat mysterious," and added, "But if he didn't have a girlfriend, it wouldn't have been a big deal."

theqoo

-I know they must have received a lot of questions that might stir up controversy, but to say 'Aish' right in front of a senior is not acceptable;;

-Who is itㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Jinkyung unnie must have been flustered, I can see it in her eyes.

-It wouldn't be Taeyang, and it wouldn't be Daesung as well, considering that Jinkyung was talking about that member in front of him...ㅋ

-It doesn't seem like Taeyang... and GD wouldn't be like that either... judging by the fact that Hong Jinkyung was talking to Daesung, it probably wasn't Daesung.....^^

-Seems like that member got really annoyed, considering the fact that Hong Jinkyung had to apologize to him

-These replies are hilarious, only left with two suspects.

-Did all members appear in this show? Since it was said in front of Daesung, it probably isn't Daesung, is it the criminal one or the one who did drugs?

-It's true that it's not a good question, but how celebrities handle not-so-good questions is what really shows their true colors

-During the 2nd Gen, questions about girlfriends or ideal types were very commonㅋㅋㅋ Why get annoyed at a question that could be easily brushed off with 'I don't have one'? And the fact that he did that to Hong Jinkyung is really shamelessㅋㅋㅋㅋ I wonder how unlucky he must have been with other reporters.

-Can't say it, but only one person comes to mind.

-He could've just said 'No, I don't have any girlfriend'...

-Yeah, even though she didn't say who it is, I think I know.

-If he didn't have any girlfriends, why did he get so mad?

-One person comes to mindㅋㅋ For now, it's not Daesung, G-Dragon, or Taeyang.

-Why do I think I know who it isㅋㅋㅋ

-Everyone seems to be thinking of one personㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Damn, this process of elimination in the commentsㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

LE SSERAFIM on MCountdown Encore Stage Today

-Huh Yunjin's part is too low, making it difficult to sing... Low notes are surprisingly difficult to sing.

-Why did they make the song so low? They could have raised it by one or two keys.

-It's funny how people come only to criticize every time LE SSERAFIM's encore stage is posted. Seriously, though... If a restaurant's food is bad, people just leave a 1-star review and don't go back instead of keep going back and saying "This tastes terrible, the chef must be incompetent."

-Is it because the song is low? Why does it seem like they can't do it? It's kind of awkward...

-The concept is good, but... it's a shame... the company really picked out a good concept for them... why...

-Oh my, instead of trying to fit the members into the song, why not fit the song to the members...

-The vocal ranges don't match the pitch... They can only sing softly in the low range (even if they can sing softly when recording, they can't produce the same sound on stage), but they try to force a loud sound on stage to make it audible, resulting in strained voices and out-of-tune conditions.

-It seems like the pitch is too low... It doesn't seem to match their vocal ranges.

-It seems like the overall pitch of the songs is low, maybe that's why... But Sakura needs to practice more...

BBC UK Covers Karina Issuing an Apology for Her Dating News

A K-pop star has issued a grovelling apology after incensed fans accused her of "betrayal" - because she has a boyfriend.

The fans reportedly drove a truck to pop star Karina's agency after finding out she was dating actor Lee Jaewook.

"Is the love given to you by your fans not enough?" an electronic billboard on the vehicle demanded.

Overall, the article seems to take a somewhat condescending tone, viewing the overall trend of dating bans in the entertainment industries of Korea and Japan as simultaneously intriguing yet regressive.

theqoo

-Seriously, what a disgrace to the country...

-These idiots, seriously.

-Shameful...

-It's okay for our country to be disgraced due to this backward culture.

-In the West, when celebrities date, people talk about it, but they don't go crazy like this, they just don't apologize... This news makes it seems like only Korean fandoms go crazy over idol datingㅋ
ㄴOnly in Korea would fans send protest trucks like that, and this is the only place where celebrities apologize for being in a relationshipㅋㅋㅋㅋ  Korea's fan culture is a mess.

-Sending protest trucks is really annoying. Just because someone has money, they shouldn't just send stuff like that; it's disgusting. Instead of making a fuss about dating, just quietly leave the fandom. I'm a fangirl myself too, but I admit that Korea's fan culture is too severe.

-With the rise of protest trucks, all sorts of strange fans are exposed.

-What a disgrace...

-If they hadn't caused trouble and not sent trucks, Karina wouldn't have apologized, right?

-It seems like the situation got worse because of the apology.

-Disgusting.

-It was Chinese fans who sent the truck, right? Chinese, please send trucks in Chinese. Koreans immediately catch on to the translation tone and know it's from a Chinese person, but foreigners think it's from a Korean because it's in Korean.

-It's ridiculous. Seriously.

-Wow, Kwangsoo is really like a devil.

-No way, it's their first comeback after a year and a half, do we need this controversy?ㅠㅠ...........

-It's getting heated upㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Kwangsoo, this is really too much for a rookie idol...

-Kwangsoo's attention-seeking skills are consistent, really ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-This is really too much.

-Typical of Kwangsoo.

-Kwangsoo is really something, how does he always manage to do this?

-Isn't this a matter of morality? Is the agency crazy?

-This is unacceptable.

-BAE173 is finally making a comeback after a year and seven months, and their agency is doing this to stir up controversy... Why are they doing this to them, seriouslyㅠㅠ

-Wow, as expected from Kwangsoo

-Even if it's a commonly used expression, timing is everything ㅋㅋ....

-In this day and age, Kwangsoo's still causing controversies.

-When will Kwangsoo hit rock bottom, seriously.

-Looks like Kwangsoo is purposely aiming to stir up controversy like this.

-The kids were doing so well, why are they doing this to themㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

-Kwangsoo again.

-Stirring up controversy again ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

The Price of Seventeen Wonwoo's Keyboard Merchandise

120,000 KRW = ~$90 USD

It's cheaper than expected.

theqoo

-That seems like a quite reasonable price for a mechanical keyboard, though?  I want to buy it too... Even if I'm not his fan, can I still buy it?

-The keyboard is really cheap???

-The price seems alright. Mechanical keyboards are usually expensive.

-It's cheaper than my keyboard. I chose mine among the cheap ones, so the price is really okay.

-It's so cheap... I'm not a fan, but I really want it.

-Is a mechanical keyboard normally expensive? After reading the main text and seeing that the keyboard is 120,000 KRW, it seems cheap. What's the difference between that and a regular keyboard??

-It's pretty. I thought it would be very expensive because it's goods, but the price is actually better than I expected.

-It's so cheap for a goods... Even my keyboard that I'm using at home is 200,000 KRW...

-Wow, mine is 150,000 KRW, and it's not even considered a good one.

-I'm buying it.

-It's so cheap. I want to buy it too.

-I thought it would be expensive because it's goods, but it's cheaper than I thought.

-Considering the prices of custom keyboards, this seems cheaper than expected?

-It would be nice if my favorite group also released something like this.

-It seems cheap for a keyboard, but considering it's idol merchandise, it's actually quite expensive.

-It's a shame it doesn't have a numeric keypad; I want to buy it.

-Are keyboards originally expensive? I thought this was expensive, but everyone says it's cheap. This is the first time I've heard that such keyboards are extremely expensive.

-It's really pretty.

Kim Soohyun and Kim Jiwon at the Press Conference for 'Queen of Tears'

They were confused when the reporters asked them to do heart cheeksㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Rachel...

-Neither of them seems to age.

-Wow, their visuals are so good.

-They look really good together, I have high expectations for their acting.

-Why is Kim Jiwon so pretty?

-I'm not sure about the chemistry, but they're look good together.

-Every time I see Kim Soohyun, he looks like Do Minjoon. How does he not age?

-Please, please be an interesting drama.

-Ah, please be interestingㅋㅋㅋㅋ This is the only drama I'm looking forward to

-Oh, they look alike! I'm really looking forward to the drama.

-How does Kim Soohyun's face stay the same, is he not aging or what?

-How does Kim Jiwon become even prettier? Seriously stunning.

-Kim Soohyun's face is really small... I knew it but still surprised.

-Both are stunning.

-Not sure about the chemistry, but Kim Jiwon's face looks beautiful. The clothes are a bit iffy though.

-No matter how I look at it, I don't see the chemistry, they shine individually.

-No, both are too handsome and too beautiful, it's unfair, seriously!!!

-They match so well, seriously handsome and beautiful.

-Ah, I've waited so long for this.

-Their faces are just perfect together.

-Visuals are on another level.

Changmin's response to the question "Do you think being a celebrity is a difficult job?"

Changmin: I think it's a very challenging job. It is indeed a demanding job~ By paying off the debts accumulated and sacrificing childhood, (my parents) now have less financial stress. So there's give and take. More than personal regrets, I have a greater sense of gratitude. I'm more comfortable communicating with the public now.

theqoo

-He seems to have a very healthy mindset. Celebrities who just complain about ther jobs have lost their minds.

-Having a positive mindset is much more realistic and cool than complaining.

-I always think that comments like these come from someone who understands the perspective of ordinary workers, so it always seems thoughtful.

-It's a good mindset.

-Being a celebrity is hard, but non-celebrities have it hard too. Even if celebrities are struggling, at least they gain wealth and fame, whereas regular people just struggle.

-Celebrities who complain about trivial things should go back to living the life of an ordinary person earning a monthly salary of 2 million won.

-Even though he debuted at a young age as an idol and gained fame right away, it's impressive to see his sense of reality. It shows that he's mature and is a good person.

-It's refreshing to hear Changmin say that being a celebrity is great, after seeing some celebrities complaints about their job.

-Oh... It's really impressive that he thinks that way, even when he suffered a lot because of malicious commenters and sasaengs.

-Changmin always seems to have a healthy mentality eve though he debuted at a young age and faced various challenges, it's impressive.

-Changmin has a very healthy mindset. If you earn something, you'll lose something too. There are pros and cons to everything. Once you learn that, life becomes easier (I'm not saying that being a celebrity is easy).

-Respect.

-He's saying the right thing. It's not just celebrities who experience the sadness of not being able to enjoy their school days. Even three hours of free time a day is already a lot for office workers, right?  Waking up at 6 or 7, going to work, coming home around 7 or 8, and then preparing for the next day, cleaning up, and doing everything else, it's exhaustingㅠㅠ  They probably have their own struggles, but compared to the money they earn... They're lucky. That doesn't mean hate comments and such are justified.
