"Lai Guanlin retired from the entertainment industry" ... Lee Daehwi on WannaOne's reunion possibility: "In our heart, the possibility is 100%"

 

Lee Daehwi and Bae Jinyoung talked about the possibility of a WannaOne reunion.

On the 22nd, Eunhyuk and Donghae's Youtube channel 'Donghaemul and Baekdu Eunhyuk' posted a video titled, 'Lee Daehwi already planned WannaOne's comeback, Bae Jinyoung to take the lead.'

Eunhyuk said, "Sungwoon came by and shared a lot of fun stories about WannaOne. He said those days were so good. I think since your activities had a set time frame, the regrets must've been even bigger."

Lee Daehwi replied, "It was always bittersweet from the moment we debuted. It was so sad to be heading towards the end. Although the members often see each other, fans don't know when they'll get to see all 11 of us together again, so that's always been a regret. We always say that we should do it again someday. In our hearts, the possibility is 100%"

Eunhyuk asked, "Is there any member who pushes strongly for it?" Daehwi answered, "Sungwoon hyung does." He also revealed, "All the members are still in the group chat. Sometimes someone leaves briefly but then comes back in."

On the other hand, Bae Jinyoung shared, "I don't say anything at all in the group chat. I just lurk. If I say something, I get attacked for no reason." Lee Daehwi then revealed his feelings, "But I really hope we can reunite."

Lee Daehwi explained, "All the older members have to finish their military service first. They're all going to be done around 2027, which is also our 10th anniversary. But we can't just keep fans waiting indefinitely. At least by talking about it like this, it feels like it might eventually happen."

He emphasized, "If we reunite, it won't be for the money. Even without perfect conditions, I want us to do it."

Finally, Lee Daehwi shared an update on Lai Guanlin, saying, "He's a drama director now. He has completely retired from the entertainment industry."

: It hasn't even been a week since the trailer video was released, but it got around 1.28 M views. The narration and the overall video composition and editing are made from things borrowed from various places, and even so, the setting in the scenes don’t connect well. There are other teams coming out in July besides ZB1, so I'm curious how long they can keep fooling themselves.

: Their reality show has a camping concept, the actual broadcast is on Thursdays, but there've already posted a few pre-release videos. And honestly, it's really really boring. WannaOne's reality show also had somehow distant and tense atmosphere among the members, and I think this team is no different at all. In contrast, BOYNEXTDOOR have been practicing together for a longer period. I think it would be better for them to continue showcasing their teamwork while also showing their competitive side.

Who is the current top boy group: EXO vs BTS vs WannaOne

Back in 2017, there were countless posts in online communities comparing the popularity of EXO, BTS, and WannaOne

As a muggle, the one that feels like a top star to me is EXO. BTS gives off 'I heard they're doing well these days' kind of vibes and WannaOne feels like a rookie groupㅋㅋ

I can relate when the OP said that even though WannaOne was still a rookie back then, they generated such a massive buzz

-It's not that BTS wasn't popular, it's just that they weren't as popular compared to EXO or WannaOne back then, no? Even before Produce 101, I already knew EXO. But I only found out about BTS because their songs were being covered on Produce, like 'Boy in Luv' and 'Spring Day'.
