Actor Kim Youngdae (3) and actress Lee Naeun (27), formerly of the group APRIL, were spotted spending time together. With about a month left before his military enlistment, the two were seen meeting closely, leading to dating rumors. However, both sides denied it, saying they are 'just friends.'
According to Star Day on the 26th, Kim Youngdae and Lee Naeun were seen spending their time together on the afternoon of the 25th at a drugstore near Gwangnaru in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
According to witnesses, the two visited the store around 4PM, when there were relatively few people, and enjoyed shopping trip for daily items like toothbrushes. They were wearing casual running clothes with caps pulled down, and instead of hiding their faces with masks, they appeared comfortable and affectionate like any ordinary couple while browsing the store.
Reportedly, they also created an atmosphere closer than just friends as they chatted warmly throughout the shopping trip and even helped choose items for each other. Gwangjin-gu, where Kim Youngdae lives, and Guri, where Lee Naeun spends most of her time, are neighboring areas separated by the Han River, making it easy for them to share daily routines or light exercise.
Their connection dates back to the 2019 MBC 'Extraordinary You,' where they acted as a couple. They reportedly have remained in contact since then, and now they are drawing attention with this recent meeting just before his enlistment.
Regarding this, Kim Youngdae's side initially told Star Today, "We don't know the details as it's the artist's private life," and latter added, "They are close acquaintances who have known each other for a long time." Lee Naeun's side also stated, "They often run together with several other people," and clarified, "They are not dating. They are just close friends."
Born in 1996, Kim Youngdae is scheduled to enlist for active duty this April. He debuted in 2017 through the web drama 'Secret Crushes: Special Edition,' and solidified his position as lead actor through 'Extraordinary You' and 'Penthouse' series. Recently, he has been meeting global audiences through TVING's 'Dear X' and Netflix's 'Boyfriend on Demand.'
Lee Naeun also gained recognition after landing her first leading role in 'Extraordinary You.' Since then, she has continued her acting career in dramas like 'The Defects.' Regarding past allegations of internal conflict within her group, the legal dispute concluded with her being cleared of charges. She is currently appearing on the variety show 'Trend Shopper Season 5.'
