Singer Gureum's agency hinted they will be taking legal action against Baek Yerin's agency for using their work without permission.

Gureum's agency stated, "We would like to address the issue regarding People Like People Inc. (hereafter PLP), who has been performing our artist Gureum's works without permission. This situation is not just about simple unauthorized use; we have no choice but to take the following actions and measures."

The agency continued, "Gureum was previously a member of the band 'The Volunteers,' contributing to numerous songs through producing, composing, and performing. After his exclusive contract with Blue Vinyl ended on February 28, we received a unilateral agreement from PLP regarding the free transfer of neighboring rights and waiver of rights to unreleased songs that were not agreed upon during Gureum's withdrawal from The Volunteers. We rejected these terms after discussing them with our artist."

Additionally, the agency mentioned that they had requested PLP to refrain from using Gureum's works multiple times since 10 June 2024. PLP responded by agreeing not to utilize Gureum's works. However, the agency found that PLP had performed several songs without Gureum's consent, including at the Asia Pop Festival, and had confirmed the unauthorized use of personal equipment in a music video for The Volunteers.

Ultimately, the agency stated, "We have no choice but to proceed with legal action to protect our artist's rights and prevent recurrence." Furthermore, they noted that there have been interpretations of the artist's social media posts, dissemination of false information, defamation, and personal attacks in some communities, and they intend to take strong legal action against the creators of malicious posts.

Finally, Gureum's agency stated, "We hope this serves as an opportunity to correct the wrongful actions of some in the industry who take others' creations and assets lightly. We will do our utmost to ensure that many artists, including Gureum, can continue to produce good music."

The singer who's rotting away in JYP

Other than an OST for a drama, she hasn't released anything yet this year..

-(JYP) formed 15& and not give them any work at all..

-Why is JYP not letting her release any songs? They should've let her release at least one song..
