The scene that's being made into 50 M gifs after the broadcast of episode 10 of 'Lovely Runner'

Im Sol is a character that cries a lot in the drama. It's very heartbreaking every time I see her cry, but she looks extremely beautiful every time she sheds tears.

-Because it's really touching.

-She cried so beautifully...

-Sol is gorgeous.

-Because she looks beautifulㅠㅠ How can she look so beautiful while crying?

-It was really gorgeous.

-It was really legendary

-She acts so well 🌻💛💛

-Hyeyoon is gorgeousㅜㅜ Her acting is the best.

-Even though her eyes are swollen and tears are welling up, she's still so beautiful..ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

-I don't watch the drama, but she's really pretty.

-Her acting, face, and atmosphere are all so overwhelmingㅠㅠ She's really good.

-No, but seriously, it's a legendary scene... so painfully beautiful 🥺

-That's really touchingㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I cried a lot.

-Don't cry, Solㅠㅠ

-How can she cry like that,,,,,,,,

-She cries so beautifully that it hurts even moreㅠㅠ

Channel A reports Seventeen's album price corrections on their news

170,000 KRW for a copy...? Criticism Lead to 'Error, Correction)

Lee Harang (Seventeen's fan): They're putting up such an unreasonable price. I just decided not to buy.

Seventeen's Deluxe Album Initial Price: 170,700 KRW. Corrected to 69,400 KRW.

It took the company 6 hours to correct the price. During those 6 hours, 682 copies were sold. The sales amount exceeded slightly over 100M KRW.

-Even 70,000 KRW is over the top.

-Wow, they just sold it for almost 200,000 KRW^^ It's obviously the company's fault

-That price for one album???

-Someone bought it for that price???

-If it was an error, they should have corrected it right after it went up

-Who bought that?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Even 70,000 KRW is too expensive. Are they seeing the fans as ATMs?

-Still, it's too expensive.

-Wow, isn't HYBE supposed to be doing well? How many issues are there now??

-HYBE, please just leave the entertainment industry.

-If it's an error, then are they going to refund the difference to those who bought it?

-Sigh, damn it, did HYBE do this with the intention to make the boys appear on the news with such nonsense...?

-Then what about those already sold? Can't they refund them?

-Who would believe it's an error?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Why is an album priced at 60,000 KRW... Why?

-HYBE is a menace.

Seventeen once mentioned to the company, "Why can't we have concerts outside Seoul in Korea?"

Seventeen expressed their dissatisfaction to the company, saying, "In other countries, we tour from city to city, but why are concerts in Korea only held in Seoul? Even if it's tough for us, we'll do it."

The company said that there were too many restrictions in local areas...

theqoo

-We only think about the venue, but we should also consider security personnel, operations staff, traffic control, facilities, etc... All these things should be taken into account... Those who complains should watch this video.

-It's probably restrictions from the agenciesㅋㅋㅋ

-Isn't the biggest problem that there aren't many venues in the provinces that can accommodate the scale of Seventeen's concert?

-It's not about rental costs; it's about the difficulty of managing transportation and safety personnel. Even when BTS had a concert in Busan, there were significant problems with safety and operations, as the audience couldn't all enter the venue after the concert started. They must be talking from experience.

-Thinking about BTS's Busan concert... Well, not doing it might be the answer.

-Even when BTS held a concert in Busan, there were significant problems with safety and operations. The concert started, but not all the audience could enter.

-Idols have young fans and international fans, so we should also consider accommodation and transportation issues...

-In the provinces, rather than venue rental, the issue lies with having quality staff for performances who all need to come from Seoul, and even the LED screens and lighting need to be brought down from Seoul. That's difficult. Well, maybe it's fine if it's a top-tier singer, but usually, even the staff prefer to handle performances in Seoul and don't go to the provinces much. Also, safety is a big issue with idol concerts due to the young age group. Ensuring a safe return home for everyone after the performance requires cooperation not only from the company but the entire city. Making sure that young fans in their teens and twenties can safely return home or find accommodation is a huge task.

-It's not just the issue of the venue; transportation and accommodation are significant issues. Just looking at Gwangju, where I live, the subway doesn't connect to the World Cup Stadium, and there are no buses after 11 p.m. It's not even a remote area. Plus, there's hardly any accommodation available. There are almost no hotels in Gwangju, and the motels are far from the stadium, and they're usually in areas with nightclubs, so there are also safety issues.

-I attended an event by a Trot singer in my neighborhood a few years ago, and the event organization was a mess. There's a big difference between places with experience hosting events and those without. Among all the places I've been to, I've never seen such a mess. After experiencing that, I realized that there must be some practical issues.

-If they want to, they can do it.

-If you think about it simply, if tens of thousands of people suddenly rush in, accidents can happen.

-Except for Busan, all other metropolitan cities lack accommodations. There aren't many hotels worth staying in even in Daegu, where I live. You might as well say there's none around.

Aespa sold out the tickets for their 2-days concert at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium

theqoo

-Good!

-I barely got myself a ticket...

-I'm going for both days✌️

-Give us an encore concert and move to a bigger placeㅠㅠㅠ

-I wanted to go... But the regular tickets were all sold outㅠㅠ

-The venue is too smallㅜㅜ

-No ticket for me....

-I didn't get a ticket... Many of my friends couldn't get tickets eitherㅜㅜㅜ I'm proud and disappointed at the same time. Aespa is really popular, I hope they choose a bigger venue next time.

-Next time, let's go to a slightly bigger placeㅠㅠㅠ

-Damn, I couldn't even get pre-sale ticketsㅠㅠㅠ

-What's the grey area on the 3rd floor?

-I feel like the venue is too small for Aespa. Please choose a bigger venue and give me a chance to go tooㅜㅜ

-I was so pissed off because the ticketing war was too intenseㅜㅜ

-How many seats are there?

-The names for the floor sections are cuteㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I haven't given up yet. I can't believe I don't have a ticket.

-I'm not a fan, but I want to go.

-Why are they performing in such a small place?

An idol explains why they don't necessarily go on music shows

VICTON's Hanse

Music shows are great, they're really fun, but they don't make a lot of profit.

It doesn't have a huge promotional effect, just like how it did in the 2nd Gen, and the cost for appearing on a music show for one week is like 10M KRW (~$7,000 USD; ~Rp117,000,000 IDR). While the appearance fee for each idol group per music show is like 50,000 KRW(~$36 USD; ~Rp586,000 IDR)ㅋㅋ

I don't know if it's gone up these days. But back in my time, the appearance fee for one music show was 50,000 KRW per team. That's how it was.

And if you're having a comeback, you'd want to look cool. So, you have to build a set and stuff, which costs extra on top of that. Plus hair, makeup, styling fees, on-site staff meals, snacks, drinks, etc. It can easily reach 20M KRW (~$14,000 USD; ~Rp234,000,000 IDR).

That's all debt for idols.

It's a game that doesn't work out for most teamsㅋㅋ

You can easily produce a better music video with the cost of going to music shows for 1 to 2 weeks.

These are the things that don't really need to be said, but since some of you were curious...ㅋㅋㅋ

But you still have to promote somehow

I really respect Kpop artists... They live in a really competitive world

I'm only saying this because fans keep asking us to go on music shows every time we release a song

I'm just telling them why we don't necessarily need to go on music shows

There are hardly any idol groups that actually get paid. They just end up accumulating debt until their contracts end, except for a few groups that are at the top of the festival lineup as headliners and few groups that are known even to the general public, not just Kpop fans.

You can be considered to survive well if you disband in the middle of the contract or safely finish your 7-year contract even without earning moneyㅠㅋㅋㅋ

You don't have to pay back the debt you accumulated during your activities when your 7-year contract ends.

It's over cleanly with no debt.

This is the standard exclusive contract, but I don't know if it's not the case for many seniors from other generations...?

Instead of paying back the debt, as long as you've been active for 7 years, you don't get paid a single penny. Unless if you have copyrights for the song you write or compose.

But even that don't amount to much.

Compared to the effort you put in, I guess...? It's surprisingly little.

theqoo

-Cheer up to all the small and medium-sized idols!!

-ㅠㅠ I liked VICTON's songs...

-I guess this is the reason why my idol only goes to music show once a week...ㅠㅠ

-It seems really abnormal. K-pop has become famous, but when it comes to singers, the appearance fees for music shows are really disappointing.

-My idol must be in debt tooㅠㅠ

-Wow, this is really realistic talk.

-So, why do people become idols then? Just an expensive hobby?

-I knew someone who was a member of an unknown boy group, and what he said is exactly the same. I didn't understand when he kept saying he was broke (He came out on TV and was on magazines...), but now I get it.

-It's sad.

-Oh... it's a fierce reality... ㅠㅠ

-Wow, so idols are burdened with even decorating the music show stage... In the future, instead of thanking the broadcasters, we should thank their company if the stage sets are pretty ㄷㄷ

-Even appearing on YouTube costs a fortune, they say it costs tens of thousands KRW.

-Even though it costs so much to appear on music shows, my favorite idol keeps appearing regularly, probably because it's also for promotion and because fans want to see them ㅠㅠ

-I had no idea about this. I've always been disappointed that idols have such short activities, but now I fully understand.

-I'm grateful to my idol for appearing on music shows for a solid two weeks... ㅠㅠㅠ It must have been all debt since their albums didn't sell much ㅠㅠㅠ
