'34 y.o.' Soyou declares she's 'giving up on marriage' ..."I planned to freeze my eggs, but now I don't even want to have kids"

Soyou opened up about her thoughts on marriage.

On the 10th, a video titled, 'Started giving advice to Soyou... but got counter-attacked' was posted on the Youtube channel 'Alddal Cham.'

In the video, Heo Kyungwan responded to Soyou's comment about giving up on marriage by saying, "As an Oppa, I'm against that."

He said, "The happiest time in my life was when I was 35. I felt everything was perfect. I didn't feel behind because of my age and I was so full of energy. Age doesn't matter for women. Honestly, you can do more bench press more than I can."

In response, Soyou replied, "It's not like I decided to not get married. My life goal was never to be a top star singer or the Beyoncé of South Korea. My dream was to become a good wife and mother." She continued, "Since I was young, I dreamed of a happy family. I wanted to have the smell of soybean paste stew ready when the family came home, having the kids calling 'Mom' as we ate, and just do housework and raise kids. But during COVID, I saw little kids saying things like 'We don't have masks,' and that made me realize I didn't want to bring children into a world like this."

She added, "I originally wanted to have kids early, so I planned to get my body in the best shape and freeze my eggs by the time I turned 30. But I later found out that it doesn't just end there, you have to give yourself shots in the stomach every day. I have a severe phobia of needles, so if I had to inject myself every day, I just couldn't do it."

Soyou stated, "If I'm not going to have kids, then why get married? Once I stopped wanting kids, the thought of marriage disappeared too." Sitting next to her, Heo Kyunghwan joked, "I've seen lots of people, both men an women, say things like that, but then they get married out of the blue."

Soyou clarified, "It's not that I don't want to get married. I just don't really think about it. But I do want to date."

Freezia: "I don't like it if my boyfriend uses a Samsung Galaxy ... Taking pictures of me with that phone? So annoying"

SOURCE: 프리지아 "갤럭시 쓰는 남친 싫어..그 폰으로 날 찍어? 너무 짜증나"

Youtuber Freezia expressed that she dislikes the idea of having a boyfriend who uses a Galaxy phne.

Recently, Freezia posted a video showing her daily life on her channel, 'THE Freezia.'

Freezia said, "I heard your (an acquaintance) boyfriend uses a Galaxy Fold. To be honest, I'd kinda hate it if my boyfriend used a Galaxy phone." She added, "Both my mom and dad use Galaxy phones too. But parents and a boyfriend are different, right? Just imagining him taking pictures of me with that phone makes me so annoyed."

When an acquaintance asked, "What if your boyfriend comes up and says, 'Jia-ya~ Let me take a picture of you,' and then opens his Galaxy Fold?" she reacted strongly, saying, "Seriously?" She continued, "When my dad takes pictures of me, I end up looking like I have the proportions of a 3-heads-tall character. Galaxy and iPhone photos just have different vibes." Her acquaintance responded, "Mine looks fine, though. The pictures my dad took of me turned out really well."

Freezia added, "I don't think I've ever even touched a Galaxy phone before. The only people I can accept using Galaxy phones are my mom and dad." She added, "When the Flip first came out, t looked really pretty that I wanted to try buying one. It reminded me of the old flip phones. But I still think iPhone is way much more comfortable to use. When I try using my mom's phone, it's too difficult for me."

Meanwhile, beauty and fashion Youtuber Freezia (real name Song Jia) began her journey as an influencer after appearing on the Netflix reality show 'Single's Inferno' in 2021. However, at the peak of her popularity she was caught in a controversy for wearing counterfeit luxury goods. Since her content frequently featured luxury brands, the backlash was significant.

Eventually, Freezia issued an apology through a handwritten letter and a Youtube video. Despite that, criticism from netizens continued, leading a media outlet to verify the authenticity of 21 controversial items. The investigation found that 13 out of 21 items were genuine and some items that netizens had insisted to be fake were actually authentic. However, a portion of the items was confirmed to be counterfeit.

Thank you.

Summary: He is leaving ENHYPEN but will remain as an artist under BELIFT Lab.

COMMENTS:

-Whoa... I guess this is why they canceled the video call fan sign?

-I think he's the most popular one in the group. I heard he's a great singer.

-He's an amazing singer. This is insane. I've watched his Dingo Live performance so many times.

-If he leaves, who's going to do the singing now?

-He should've stayed for at least another 3 years. The group seems to be doing really well in Japan.

-I wonder why...

-If he's not leaving the company, he could've just debuted solo while staying in the group. Why leave?

-Is he switching to acting??

-Is he going to start a ramyeon business?

-Whoa... Why????? Why????????????????? This is so f*cking shocking.

-So he left the group, but is still with the agency? Is he going to act? Or go solo?

-He's that guy who likes ramyeon. What happened?

-Hul... Is this why the fan sign suddenly got canceled last time? It wasn't because of norovirus after all...

-Why, though? Isn't he the oldest in the group?

-Huh, suddenly? Aren't they the group that suddenly announced their fan sign was canceled the other day?

Government pushes for sanitary pad to be provided for all women ... "Available at community centers and public health clinics"

SOURCE: 정부, 모든 여성에 생리대 지원 추진… "주민센터·보건소 비치"

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family is launching a pilot project, for the first time in history, to provide sanitary pads in public so that all women can access menstrual products.

On the morning of the 10th, the ministry announced the 'Public Sanitary Pad Dream Pilot Project' (tentative name) at a cabinet meeting held at the Blue House. Previously, support for menstrual product was limited to low-income female youth (aged 9 to 24) through monthly vouchers worth of 14,000 KRW. The new initiative aims to install free sanitary pad vending machines in public facilities, allowing anyone to use them.

Minister Won Minkyung stated, "Considering population size and current conditions, we will select 10 diverse regions for this pilot project." Products will mainly be placed in public facilities like community centers, public health clinics, and family centers. On the other hand, considering the accessibility in rural areas, the products will be supplied to town halls.

The ministry plans to carry out the pilot project this year with approximately 3 billion KRW in national funds. Based on the results, they will organize local budgets to launch the full-scale program next year. Minister Won added, "Considering the symbolism and impact of the first-ever public sanitary pad initiative, cooperation with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and the Public Procurement Service is necessary to ensure safety, select vendors, and manage its contracts." She also requested the Ministry of Education to make sure sanitary pads are available in schools as essential items to support students.

Following President Lee Jaemyung's criticism of sanitary pads being significantly more expensive in South Korea compared to other countries, the industry has responded by lowering prices and releasing ultra-low-cost pads. On this day, the president asked, "The main problem of expensive pads have been resolved, but there seems to be concern regarding safety issues."

In response, Oh Yukyung, Minister of Food and Drug Safety, explained, "When the prices are low, the public worries about safety, but we evaluate the safety of all sanitary pads under the same standard. Since the end of January, we have already received requests to review seven budget-friendly sanitary pads and are reviewing them promptly."

"Fooled by her Instagram photos' ... 'Motel murderer' Kim Soyoung's identity revealed, netizens mock her: "She scammed us with her looks"

SOURCE: "인스타 사진에 속았다"…'모텔 살인女' 김소영 신상공개되자 "외모로 사기쳤네" 조롱까지

After the identity of Kim Soyoung, the suspect in the Gangbuk Motel Serial Murder Case who killed two men using drugged drinks, was publicly released, posts comparing her looks to her Instagram photos began spreading online. People who initially defended her with comments like, "She's not guilty because she's pretty," are now criticizing and mocking both her crime and looks, saying, "She scammed us with her looks. She should be charged of frauds too."

On the 9th, the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office disclosed the name, age, and mugshot of Kim Soyoung (20), who was arrested and referred to prosecutors by the police. The disclosure period runs from that day until April 8.

Previously, despite the brutality of this serial murder case, her leaked Instagram photos drew reactions like, "She's not guilty because she's pretty," and "Let's set up a donation account," drawing criticism for trivializing the crimes.

However, once Kim Soyoung's actual face was revealed, people began comparing her mug shot with her Instagram photos, with netizens leaving comments like, "I was blinded by her makeup for a moment," and "I was fooled by her Instagram photos."

Netizens also mocked her with comments like, "I take back saying I'd go to a motel with her," "This is why you shouldn't judge someone based on their Instagram photos only," "She looks like a completely different person in real life," "I can't recognize her because of the makeup," and "20?? She looks 40. Shocking."

People that initially defended her because of her looks are now criticizing both her looks and crimes, leading to further debate over lookism.

For example, a post titled 'This serial killer girl actually looks like sh*t' surfaced on an online community.

The author shared Kim Soyoung's photo and wrote, "It is said that she ordered 22 dishes at a luxury hotel restaurant using the victim's card. How can someone in their early 20s have such twisted thoughts and kill people instead of working hard to earn her own money? Even the prison food she'll eat for free is a waste. People mistook her for being pretty and followed her blindly."

Another post shared her mug shot along with the caption that said, "Her makeup is too heavy. Since she scammed us with her looks. She should be charged of frauds too."

Meanwhile, Kim Soyoung is accused of giving drugged drinks to three men in their 20s at various motels in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, between December 14th of last year and February 9th of this year, killing two and injuring one.

On the 19th of last month, the Seoul Gangbuk Police referred her to the prosecution on charges of murder, aggravated injury, and violation of the Narcotics Control Act.

Previously, it was revealed that Kim Soyoung scored 25 out of 40 points on a psychopathy assessment. This test measures psychopathic traits such as coldness, impulsivity, lack of empathy, and irresponsibility across 20 questions. In South Korea, individuals who score above 25 are typically classified as psychopaths.

'I want to escape' ... Youtuber rescues 53 people from the Middle East after a fan's message

Lee Jaecheon (26), who runs a Youtube channel with 610,000 subscribers, received a message from a fan on February 28, saying, "I'm in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). I want to escape quickly." At the time, tensions in the Middle East had sharply escalated due to U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on Iran and Iran's retaliatory actions. While it was technically possible to leave the UAE by land and travel to Oman, the fan who is a woman in her 20s felt extreme anxiety about crossing the border alone.

Judging that it will be safer to escape if people gathered as a group, Lee Jaecheon created a KakaoTalk open chatroom called 'UAE Escape Room' that same day and began gathering people who wished to leave overnight. At the same time, he contacted a local travel agency. He was able to quickly arrange a reliable escape route together with a staff member who had experience living in the UAE and using the network he built while running his Youtube channel, which mainly delivers updates on wars.

The help from travel agencies providing guides locally in the Middle East was also significant. Lee Jaecheon said, "After that one fan escaped safely, word spread through Korean associations, and more people started contacting me for help. We secured cars through a travel agency. At first, we used private cars, but as more people joined, we even used chartered buses."

Not everything went smoothly. Heo Sangjun (60), the CEO of Carrot Tour, who worked together with Lee Jaecheon to provide taxis and buses said, "In the process of transfering people to Oman and Saudi Arabia, demand for vehicles and drivers exploded, causing prices to skyrocket. Some drivers we had already booked even left for higher offers." Lee Jaecheon added, "Taxi fares that were around 1.5 million KRW shot up to 2 million KRW in just a few days. We barely managed gathering people to split the costs."

Just when he thought the urgent situation was under control, new problems arose as the number of people wanting to escape increased. There were cases where some people reached the Oman border, but had to wait for three hours because the taxi they called didn't show up. The staff at the border checkpoint sometimes demanded money, which they had no choice but pay. Some people lost contact after reaching Oman because they couldn't get SIM cards. There were also rumors that some people who escaped via other routes were abandoned in the desert after arguing with their driver.

In response, Lee Jaecheon decided to use buses to transport people more safely. He succeeded in evacuating 53 people over 18 separate trips. He said, "Those who escaped first would give advice to the next group on how to pass border checkpoints."

Although it started with good intentions, there were many challenges. One of the hardest was misunderstandings that he was being paid by the travel agency. Lee Jaecheon explained, "I only connected people who wanted to escape directly with travel agencies of taxi companies. I never received any money. There were many suspicions about the videos I posted on Youtube, but I explained everything and clarified them one by one. I believe that the fact I did the right thing is more important."

Now that the government has stepped in by arranging chartered flights and sending a response team , Lee Jaecheon has temporarily stopped helping with escapes to avoid creating confusion. However, he has not lost interest and continues to monitor the situation, as there are still Koreans in the Middle East who wish to escape. Lee Jaecheon stated, "We are still sharing information in the group chats. The whole team is exhausted from not sleeping for days, but it's rewarding to be able to help people evacuate safely."
