"I'm not getting married" Jung Woosung, the full story of how he turned Moon Gabi, whom he didn't even date, into a single mother

Actor Jung Woosung (51) has reportedly been in conflict with model Moon Gabi (35), the mother of his biological son, over issues surrounding childcare and marriage. Despite their attempt to wrap the situation beautifully by saying 'doing their best in their respective positions,' the reality is not actually that good.

According to Ten Asia on the 24th, Jung Woosung and Moon Gabi recently met to discuss matters concerning their child’s upbringing and the possibility of marriage, but there was a disagreement. Moon Gabi wanted to get married and provide their child with a stable family, while Jung Woosung firmly opposed the idea of marriage. Sources suggest that Moon Gabi's recent disclosure on social media about giving birth was triggered by this conflict.

The two reportedly had several private encounters in the past but were never in a romantic relationship. The exact details of how they came to meet remain unclear. While rumors suggested that a famous actor had introduced them, Ten Asia confirmed this was not true.

Shortly after their meetings, Moon Gabi informed Jung Woosung of her pregnancy, and she eventually gave birth. Following a paternity test, Jung Woosung acknowledged his biological role as the father but refused to take on the role of 'Moon Gabi’s husband and the child’s father' in a traditional sense. He provided financial support for child support and childbirth expenses but insisted on not getting married.

On November 22, Moon Gabi publicly revealed that she had secretly given birth. However, she didn't disclose details about the child’s father, marriage, or her partner, sparking public curiosity.

“As a mother, I wanted to live a somewhat more ordinary and happy life, so I gathered my courage,” Moon Gabi wrote. She added, "I was not prepared for the student news. I spent most of my pregnancy period quietly, surrounded by the blessings of my family, rather than openly celebrating the joy of it.”

Moon Gabi further explained her decision to keep her pregnancy discreet, saying, “I made this choice solely for the sake of my unborn child. Deep down, I always believed that in order to protect something precious, I had to keep it hidden."

-At over 50 years old, does he still not understand 'no condom, no sex'?

-Ah... So the woman wanted to get marriedㅋㅎ...

-How can he marry someone he doesn't love? They don't have to get married just because one of them wants to. It's their own mistake for not using contraception.

-He's acting so recklessly despite his age.

-So, he's a complete jerk.

-Please, people, use contraception.

-If he doesn't want to add the child to his family register, does that make the child illegitimate?

-Not wanting to get married but not using contraception is absolutely irresponsible. What is there to defend?

-I've always disliked Jung Woosung. I'm done with him. Bye.

-What...? I thought they didn't get married because the two of them agreed not to. But it turns out that the woman actually wants to get married? What the f*ck?

-As someone who doesn't trust men, this is not surprising. I just hope the mom and baby live well.

-They didn't even date in the first place. Therefore, using the baby to demand marriage is a bit too much... Financial support is the best solution.

-If the man acts like that, it’s better not to have the child than to live as a single mother and illegitimate child.

-Even if they have 16 years of age gap, she's in her mid-30s. It's kinda hilarious for her to demand the man to take full responsibility.

Artist Company: "Jung Woosung is the biological father of Moon Gabi's son ... Will do his best as a father"

Actor Jung Woosung confirmed that he is the biological father of model Moon Gabi's son.

On the 24th, Jung Woosung's agency, Artist Company, released an official statement saying, "The child revealed by Moon Gabi on her SNS is indeed the biological child of actor Jung Woosung. Discussions are ongoing regarding the best approach to childcare, and he will do his best as a father for the child."

Earlier, the entertainment outlet Dispatch reported on Moon Gabi's childbirth and revealed that Jung Woosung was the father. According to the report, the two first met in 2022 and became close, with the pregnancy occurring in June of last year. Although Jung Woosung personally chose the child’s prenatal nickname and participated in discussions about postpartum care and hospital arrangements, it was clarified that their relationship was not based on marriage.

On the 22nd, Moon Gabi belatedly announced the existence of her son through her SNS, stating, "I was not prepared for the student news. I spent my pregnancy period quietly, surrounded by the blessings of my family. Through this announcement, I feel somewhat relieved."

Model Moon Gabi debuted in 2017 through OnStyle's Attractive TV and gained immense popularity for her exotic looks and vibrant, healthy charm. However, she has been inactive since 2020 and has mostly remained out of the public eye.

▶ Below is the full statement from Jung Woo-sung’s side:

-Is it true the woman posted that on Instagram because she wanted marriage and the man didn't?

-That’s just the bare minimum. If he doesn’t take responsibility, he’s just trash.

-The child’s already been born, and they’re still discussing... They must have had serious disagreements.

-The kid should be babbling "Mom" and "Dad" by now... It’s so bitter that this is happening to their own child.

-Personally, I’d like to have a child without marriage, but that’s probably not acceptable in Korea.

-There can be different family structures. I think Korea is way too conservative.

-Even if they don’t marry, they should co-parent... It better not just end with him giving money.

-Why didn’t they use contraception?

-This is the problem with one-night stands.

-I don't think they have to reveal their childcare plans to the public, no?

-Why did he get her pregnant if he wasn't going to marry her? If he wanted to have some pleasure, he should've used contraception. This is so f*cking disappointing.

-???? What's going on here?

A drama that's receiving mixed reactions from viewers these days, but overloaded with dopamine

A secret romance thriller between a couple in their third year of a contract marriage, which all began with a blackmail call.

At first, I was like, 'Huh???' but then I got hooked…

Give me the next episode...

theqoo

-I totally like it.

-This drama is so freaking fun.

-This drama is really fun. It's a little bit cringey at first, but now I'm like 'Yes, more!! I like it. More!!'ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Is it something like Marry My Husband?

-It's super fun!! I don't usually read romance novels, but this makes me want to read the original bookㅋㅋㅋ

-The directing, acting skill, and background music are all so so, but it's somehow addictiveㅋㅋ I'm really curious what's going to happen next.

-I prepared myself for the cheesiness since people said it's super cringey, but it's actually okay. It's really funㅋㅋㅋ

-It’s so fun that as soon as you start, you can't wait for the next episode.

-If you like web novels, this is amazingㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I was going to wait until it was finished, but now I’m tempted to watch it...ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

GD tops the trending videos on Youtube with his performance at the 2024 MAMA stage

theqoo

-Deserved. The level of his performance was different from other performances. His stage was literally the only one awards-show-worthy, the other stages were just like Inkigayo stages but with a little bit of extra effort.

-No wonder.

-Everyone saw this comingㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ His stage was absolutely incredible.

-I can't stop re-watching it.

-Idol stages these days seem to lack live performances. Kpop is only evolving in appearances and scales, but now live performances.

-Legend.

-His performance was totally entertaining.

-I had so much fun watching his performanceㅋㅋㅋ

-I think I've watched that video like... 5 timesㅋㅋㅋ

-No wonder. He's such an amazing performer.

-Honestly, it was really cool. GD really needs to be on stage.

-He ate.

-Amazing, as expected from GD.

-As expected, GD is still GD.

-Gotta go watch that video again.

The best story line in Korean dating shows: Youngjoo-Hyunwoo vs Haeun-Hyungyu

A man who remembers the woman who came as a customer in the restaurant he worked at 5 years ago reunites with her on a dating show

The seven days that won over seven years

theqoo

-Haeun-Hyungyu

-Definitely the latter.

-The 1st one is actually... Hmm...

-Hyunwoo-Youngjoo... What are the chances of them reuniting on a dating show?

-From the perspective of someone who hasn't watched these dating shows, the 1st couple's story is more fascinating.

-The first one... Only if they had a happy ending.

-If we're talking about the storyline, it's the 1st couple... It's seriously like a drama.

-I haven’t watched either, but from the explanation... It's definitely the 1st couple. Wasn’t the 2nd couple just about finding new love on the show?

-The 2nd couple. The 1st couple didn't even end up as a couple.

-If we're talking about the storyline, it's the 1st couple. How could you even remember your customer from 5 years ago?

-Well, that guy from the 1st couple ended up dating someone else, anyway...

-What's the point of her remembering her after 5 years when he chose someone else in the end?

-The 2nd couple... The fact that they're still dating up to this day is legendary.

-The 2nd couple is my favorit dating-show couple.

The two female idols who naturally need to have their roots grow out blonde

Rosé

Liz

As I write this, I realized that they have the same initials: ㄹㅈ (NB: When written in Hangul)

theqoo

-I thought I would see Hyoyeon in this post.

-I don't think I've ever seen Rosé with grown-out rootsㅋㅋㅋ

-Add Hyoyeon to this listㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I feel like Hyoyeon's been blonde for like 16 years out of the 18 years she spent in this industryㅋㅋㅋ

-Oh my goodness... Liz totally looks like a princess!! So refreshingㅠㅠ So pretty.

-The two of them suits blonde really wellㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I'm so jealous of their scalps and hair...ㅠㅠ

-Liz looks better with dark hair, though... I guess I'm the only one who thinks like thatㅋㅋ

-Which group is Liz from?

-I agree. But Liz's purple hair was also super pretty.

-I think Liz looks good with any hair color, thoughㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I wonder what Rosé's hair routine looks like... She's really incredible.

-But I really want to see Liz with short black hair in a pure, Japanese-style look. She has distinctive facial features, so she must look stunning with that kind of hairstyle.

-Liz looks like she came out of a fantasy romance novel...

A clip from Abnormal Summit that's trending on overseas Twitter

theqoo

-They were told 'No mansplaining' and immediately went 'We're the ones who are wronged'...

-As expected... I'm not even surprised.

-Mark's face = My face

-'Imagine being so misogynist you got white men stumped and speechless.'ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ This is the country we live inㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-This is exactly the perfect picture to show someone who doesn’t understand what mansplaining is.

-Exactly the perfect example of mansplainingㅋㅋㅋ

-It’s not about banning men from talking, it’s about banning mansplaining. You can still speak politely and kindly without sounding like you're 'teaching'. Why do men feel offended and even say 'I have the right to speak too' because of this?

-This was hands down the most memorable scene from the whole showㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Watching Abnormal Summit was hard mostly because of Sung Sikyung...

-Oh Gosh... I'm so embarrassed to see this.

-Abnormal Summit actually has great concepts and panelists... The only problem is the MCs.

-Sikyung-ah... Sikyung-ah...

-I wonder how pathetic Korean men are in foreign men's eyes... Korean men are truly the worst.

-Sung Sikyung has always been that kind of person, so I'm not even surprised.

-That is exactly why I hate Sung Sikyung.
