Woman falls from treadmill ... 'Why was the window open?'

A tragic accident occurred at a gym in Indonesia, where a woman fell out of a window while using a treadmill.

According to local media such as Kompas.com, on the 18th (local time), a woman on a treadmill at a gym on the third floor in Indonesia fell out of a window.

The woman was transported to a hospital but ultimately obtained severe head injuries.

Her boyfriend, who was working out with her, recalled the incident, saying, "My girlfriend was running on the treadmill and then slowed down to a walk while wiping her sweat, and she fell backward."

Meanwhile, the cause of the accident is being attributed to the 'improper placement of the treadmill.'

The treadmill was installed with its back to a large window, and the distance between the window and the treadmill was only 60 cm. The distance between the floor and the bottom of the window was also very short, at just 30 cm.

Furthermore, the window was open at the time of the accident. The gym owner explained, "The window was opened to clean the exterior glass, but the personal trainer, who is an employee, forgot to close it afterward."

-Hul, that placement is so dangerous from the start.

-Hul... But usually, don't people run on treadmills facing the window? This is such a tragic death.

-Why would they place it facing away from the window? Don't people usually run facing the window???

-Why is the placement like that?

-So, they installed the treadmill facing away from the window and then left the window open?

-The placement is so... dangerous.

-Oh my godㅠㅠㅠㅠ

-Wow, that's insane.

-Usually, aren't treadmills placed facing the window? Why set it up so dangerously?

-Isn't it normal to run facing the window? Even the small gym in my neighborhood has treadmills facing the window.

-What...?

-People usually run facing the window. This is insane...

-Is this common in that country? In our country, treadmills always face the window. This is shocking.

-Aren't treadmills usually set up facing the window? Every gym I've been to has been like that.

-Usually, treadmills are placed facing the window.

-The setup is weird.

-Why did they set it up like that?

-Why did they place it like that?

-Wow, usually treadmills face the window, don't they?ㅠㅠ

-People can trip and fall by accident while using treadmills; isn't this setup too dangerous?

-I saw this on the news and wondered why they set it up like that. I think it's on the second floor, and the front part is open, allowing you to see people working out on the first floor. The gym design is flawed.

-Why did they install the treadmill facing away from the window?

NewJeans Suffers Mockery Amid PUBG Controversy… New Slang Term "NewJeans-like" Emerges

by Journalist Kim Jiwon

On the 25th, the term "NewJeans-like" was registered on the online knowledge information site "Namuwiki." The term is being interpreted to mean "poor service relative to the price." As of 11 AM that day, the expression ranked 4th in Namuwiki's real-time search terms.

Previously, NewJeans collaborated with the game PUBG. Subsequently, some game users were reported to have sexualized the members. This issue arose because many users dressed NewJeans characters in inappropriate outfits and shared these images online. The controversy intensified as NewJeans includes underage members.

Criticism emerged, pointing out that the situation was possible because there were no restrictions on what outfits could be worn by game characters. In response, NewJeans' agency ADOR and PUBG's developer Krafton took action. ADOR and Krafton stated, "We will take appropriate measures against items that do not align with the collaboration's purpose shortly. This will create a healthier environment within the game and ensure all users can play safely."

They further emphasized, "All users must adhere to PUBG's community guidelines, which prohibit inappropriate content. Violations of these guidelines may result in restrictions on game use."

Following these measures, some users expressed dissatisfaction, leading to the use of the problematic term. Users felt restricted as they could no longer use the purchased items as before due to the customization limits. Consequently, the term "NewJeans-like" began to spread across some online communities.

-Doesn't the term 'NewJeans-like sound like a compliment?

-Is this the best these older guys could come up with? Their media play is really trashy and pathetic. 'NewJeans-like' sounds like a huge compliment.

-HYBE must be really upsetㅋㅋㅋㅋ This media play is truly Sihyuk-like.

-If someone called me "NewJeans-like," I'd be so happy.

-Wow, insane media play.

-This is so trashy. Why do this to NewJeans?

-ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I didn't even know that term existed until I saw this article.

-Sihyuk again, again, and again.

-NewJeans-like = Super trendy.

-My wish is to be called 'NewJeans-like.'

-This article is very HYBE-like.

-Isn't 'NewJeans-like' supposed to be a compliment??

Korean male communities getting criticized again by International fans (For their reaction to women's clothing)

Korean male communities in shambles after the invention of this safety pantshttps://t.co/57YOMAVTyA pic.twitter.com/Spav34d3je

-The petition for distributing hammers is hilarious, let's implement itㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Finally, women around the world are starting to realize that the men in dramas are just the creations of Korean "female" writers.

-I'm genuinely curious why there are so many idiots like that in Korea.

-So embarrassing...

-As a Korean man, I wish this spread even further, I'm so embarrassed to be a Korean man.

-Not all Korean men are like that, but that’s really gross.

-Those Korean men probably don’t even know why they’re being criticized.

-I'll be the first in line for free hammer distribution.

-I just ordered some safety shorts after seeing this.

-Really disgusting

-It's not even made for them to buy, so why are they getting mad?

-This is just the tip of the iceberg. If they see more, they'll be even more shocked.

-How much more shame will Korean men bring to the country?

-Give me a gun instead of a hammer.

-Why would anyone marry men like this? Men never change.

-Women aren’t your eye candy, get it?

-So funny, but not funny at all...this is reality, so disheartening...

Reason why K-Netz are certain that these scenes from 'World Gay' are the same

World Gay wow, look at the clouds being in the exact same position

Is it because it was taken on the same day, or is it CG?

In the top picture, there's Guk, and in the bottom picture, there's no Guk, but the clouds are in the exact same position (Plus, the slight difference in the position of the funeral home text seems to be a mistake)

-This is crazy, how do they even find this stuff?

-Whoa, even the cloud positions. The attention to detail is amazing.

-If they intentionally used CGI to keep the sky the same, then it's definitely about time travel.

-I mean, this is incredibleㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Wow, they paid attention to even this?

-Wow, I’ve never noticed the clouds before... This is amazing.

-Clouds move really fast, so even the second scene was filmed right away, the cloud shapes wouldn't be identical. It's definitely CGI to make the clouds the same.

-They’re going to publish a paper with all this research.

-The director is a genius...

-Wow, I'm genuinely impressed.

-The more I watch, the crazier the detail in the music video seems.

-Wow, so Ahn Jaehyun really did return to save Seo Inguk.

-Guys, take a break sometimes.

-Guys, get some sleep.

Red Velvet Joy sparks debate as she criticizes SM Ent. publicly

by Journalist Kim Yena

Through a paid fan communication platform, Joy responded to a fan's request for a music video reaction by saying, "Well, they didn't listen to our opinions at all and just told us to wait, so we just watched the unedited music video."

She added, "I shouldn't say more, so I'll stay quiet," and included a crying emoji, drawing attention.

Joy had previously expressed dissatisfaction before the album release, stating that SM Ent was not promoting Red Velvet's new release. At the time, Joy said, "I'm also wondering whether it's supposed to be a secret, they forgot to announce it, or they're planning to release it next week." However, SM had already planned and was preparing to proceed with Red Velvet's promotion.

theqoo

-Why blame the artist when it’s clearly the company’s fault?

-Don’t you guys have complaints about your own companies? Of course, she can speak up.

-Where is this 'debate' even happening?

-I don’t think she said anything wrong.

-She should speak up; nothing will change if she stays silent.

-Imagine how bad it must have been for her to say this.

-Honestly, Red Velvet has been through this multiple times. She has every right to criticize.

-Red Velvet isn’t a rookie or unpopular group; they have a strong fandom. If they can’t even speak up on their 10th anniversary, who can?

-It actually shows how dedicated she is to her group; I appreciate her honesty.

-Red Velvet has been around for years, she should be able to speak up. This album’s songs and promo have been disappointing. The girls are talented, why is the company doing this to them?

-I don’t think she did anything wrong, she actually did a good thing. Imagine how bad it must be for her to say this.

-In a regular company, Red Velvet members would be senior managers, therefore she should be able to speak up. Imagine how frustrated she must be.

-Given the quality of the music video, she had every right to speak up.

Muslims faces an unexpected challenge as they build a mosque in South Korea

Current Situation of the Controversial Daegu Islamic Mosque

(NB: Article headlines)

   - Daegu Buk-gu District Office Issues 'Construction Halt Order' for Islamic Mosque ... Reports to Police ...

   - Daegu Buk-gu Files Legal Complaint and Orders Construction Halt for Islamic Mosque

   - Daegu Buk-gu Accuses Islamic Mosque Construction Company of Building Code Violations and Halts Construction

   - Daegu Buk-gu District Office Reports Islamic Mosque Construction Company for Building Code Violations

(NB: Screen capture of an article)

The construction of the Daegu Islamic Mosque is likely to face prolonged delays as the owner and construction company enter a legal dispute.

According to the mosque's owner on the 9th, the owner recently filed a lawsuit against the construction company at Daegu District Court, demanding the return of some construction funds. The mosque construction has been halted by the local government due to differences from the original design.

Muaz Razak, the mosque's project leader, claimed, "The construction was mishandled due to the site manager's fault, and despite repeated requests for re-construction, they did not cooperate. They took advantage of our desperate situation to demand more money while not doing the work. It seems they made these mistakes intentionally to cause harm."

The owner has filed the lawsuit to recover costs for unfinished work and to cover re-construction expenses. Meanwhile, the construction company is demanding additional costs on the mosque site. The company claims that due to a two-year delay since the contract, the cost of materials has increased, and thus the owner should pay for these additional expenses.

(NB: Caption by the OP)

During the construction of the Islamic mosque, the contractor was caught using substandard materials, leading to the local district office halting the construction.

The district office is demanding that the defective parts be removed and replaced with proper materials before construction can resume.

The construction company is refusing to obey due to the high cost of re-construction.

The mosque's owners (Muslims) have ignored the construction company and approached the district office directly to propose a compromise.

The district office insists on their original demands.

Essentially, the district office, construction company, and mosque owners are in a three-way standoff, with legal disputes over responsibility and costs now involved. This is a typical Korean-style resolution that even the Muslims didn't even see coming.

theqoo

-Why are they building that in our country?

-Don't build it.

-This is absurd.

-Even the new apartments in Daegu are a mess, and now this mosque can't escape the construction scamsㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I heard the conflict was not because of the religion but due to redevelopment issues.

-This is Korea...

-A typical Korean-style ending that even God can't escape.

-I hope it never gets completed.

-Why do these Muslims keep trying to build this in Korea?

-Whatever the reason, I hope it doesn't get built.

-It's hard to just laugh this off... Setting aside the religion, what's wrong with these construction companies?

-Feel the taste of Korea, you guys.

-This is really hopeless.
