Through a paid fan communication platform, Joy responded to a fan's request for a music video reaction by saying, "Well, they didn't listen to our opinions at all and just told us to wait, so we just watched the unedited music video."
She added, "I shouldn't say more, so I'll stay quiet," and included a crying emoji, drawing attention.
Joy had previously expressed dissatisfaction before the album release, stating that SM Ent was not promoting Red Velvet's new release. -I don’t think she did anything wrong, she actually did a good thing. Imagine how bad it must be for her to say this.
-In a regular company, Red Velvet members would be senior managers, therefore she should be able to speak up. Imagine how frustrated she must be.
-Given the quality of the music video, she had every right to speak up.
