A tragic accident occurred at a gym in Indonesia, where a woman fell out of a window while using a treadmill.
According to local media such as Kompas.com, on the 18th (local time), a woman on a treadmill at a gym on the third floor in Indonesia fell out of a window.
The woman was transported to a hospital but ultimately obtained severe head injuries.
Her boyfriend, who was working out with her, recalled the incident, saying, "My girlfriend was running on the treadmill and then slowed down to a walk while wiping her sweat, and she fell backward."
Meanwhile, the cause of the accident is being attributed to the 'improper placement of the treadmill.'
The treadmill was installed with its back to a large window, and the distance between the window and the treadmill was only 60 cm. The distance between the floor and the bottom of the window was also very short, at just 30 cm.
Furthermore, the window was open at the time of the accident. The gym owner explained, "The window was opened to clean the exterior glass, but the personal trainer, who is an employee, forgot to close it afterward."
-Hul, that placement is so dangerous from the start.
-Hul... But usually, don't people run on treadmills facing the window? This is such a tragic death.
-Why would they place it facing away from the window? Don't people usually run facing the window???
-Why is the placement like that?
-So, they installed the treadmill facing away from the window and then left the window open?
-The placement is so... dangerous.
-Oh my godㅠㅠㅠㅠ
-Wow, that's insane.
-Usually, aren't treadmills placed facing the window? Why set it up so dangerously?
-Isn't it normal to run facing the window? Even the small gym in my neighborhood has treadmills facing the window.
-What...?
-People usually run facing the window. This is insane...
-Is this common in that country? In our country, treadmills always face the window. This is shocking.
-Aren't treadmills usually set up facing the window? Every gym I've been to has been like that.
-Usually, treadmills are placed facing the window.
-The setup is weird.
-Why did they set it up like that?
-Why did they place it like that?
-Wow, usually treadmills face the window, don't they?ㅠㅠ
-People can trip and fall by accident while using treadmills; isn't this setup too dangerous?
-I saw this on the news and wondered why they set it up like that. I think it's on the second floor, and the front part is open, allowing you to see people working out on the first floor. The gym design is flawed.
-Why did they install the treadmill facing away from the window?
