What is the most important requirement to survive as an idol?
1. Visual
2. Singing or Dancing Skills
3. Lyric and Song Composing Skills
4. Entertainment Skills
5. Money, Connections
Actor who is expected to have the highest fee of 1 Billion KRW in South Korea
As "Squid Game" has gained tremendous popularity and worldwide fame, it was already speculated that the leading actors' fees would increase. In particular, since Lee Jung-jae is an indispensable key actor for "Squid Game" Season 2, whatever fee he demands must be justified. If Lee Jung-jae indeed receives over 1 billion won per episode, it would be the highest guarantee fee ever paid in South Korea.
This is seen as a tribute to Lee Jung-jae, who contributed significantly to the success of "Squid Game." According to an official from a broadcasting content production company, "Considering the financial strength of Netflix, which produced 'Squid Game,' Lee Jung-jae's appearance fee could exceed 1 billion won per episode. Given the global interest in 'Squid Game' and the perspective of 'this person deserves recognition,' it could be rationalized."
Paying 1 billion won per episode with domestic capital alone would be challenging. The official added, "If Lee Jung-jae is cast in a different project other than 'Squid Game' and sold overseas, it may not generate as much revenue as 'Squid Game.' For a six-part series, it would be 6 billion won. Casting him for 10 billion won per episode amid uncertainty about generating that level of profit poses a risk burden."
"Squid Game 2" reportedly includes incentives for the success of the first season, offered by the headquarters.
-I understand even if he asks for more.
-It's understandable to receive that much for "Squid Game." It's still less compared to Hollywood actors.
-"Squid Game" is Netflix's all-time No.1... Considering the profits, that amount might be considered low. It's from the U.S. headquarters anyway.
-It's understandable if "Squid Game" actors receive even more. Now it's global Hollywood-level productions, not just Korean dramas. It shouldn't be compared to other local dramas.
-It's "Squid Game," after all.
-If he wasn't from South Korea, 1 billion won wouldn't mean anything... He would probably even receive double. He only received that much because he's a Korean actor.
-Considering how much money "Squid Game" made, it's understandable.
-It's "Squid Game," then what can you say? It's worth it.
-There are actors in Korea who receive 500 million, so 1 billion for "Squid Game" is actually considered cheap.
-"Squid Game" earned in the tens of billions...
-They should pay him more for this. How much did "Squid Game" make?
-Lee Jung-jae deserves it.
-"Squid Game" is an exception.
"Dance Challenge" Founder Zico Says He Receives a Lot of Resentment... Apologizes to Idols
On the evening of the 17th, MBC's variety show "Point of Omniscient Interference" aired its 286th episode, featuring Block B's Zico and Brian of "Fly to the Sky".
During the episode, Zico, the founder of the "Dance Challenge," revealed that he is receiving a lot of resentment. Since the "Dance Challenge," which started from Zico's "Any Song Challenge," has become an essential activity for promoting idol songs, idols are now obligated to film challenge videos in the waiting room during their breaks.
Zico expressed, "Even all singers must know each other's choreography," and apologized for this aspect, saying, "I would like to take this opportunity to apologize."
-I'm tired of the challenges now, even though they were good...
-Zico, please make not doing the challenge a trend.
-I'm really tired of it now...
-Please make a trend of clapping while sitting on the couch and listening to your own songs instead of dancing challenges.
-It's not that I don't like the challenge itself, but I don't like them choosing choreography specifically for the challenge... Rather than modifying existing choreography easily for the challenge, I dislike them blatantly selecting choreography specifically for the challenge...
-It's not Zico's fault... it's the companies forcing forced challenge marketing that's the problemㅠㅠ Honestly, even viewers are tired of it now.
-It's not Zico's fault; it just accidentally became popular.
-The songs are getting repetitive.
-It doesn't seem necessary to apologize for something that Zico didn't force, wasn't it just because "Any Song Challenge" became popular that everyone else started making challenges? It doesn't seem like anyone's fault. Maybe everyone should just gradually stop when the challenge's popularity cools down like this.
-Let's just stop now.
-Rather than saying it became a trend because of Zico, it was already a global trend, and Zico was just the first to step in, being mistaken as the creator.
-Isn't it inevitable since TikTok is the trend?
The final episode of Knight Flower wraps up with a viewer rating of 18.4%, surpassing The Red Sleeve to become the highest-rated MBC Friday-Saturday drama in history
"The drama 'Knight Flower' concluded with a viewer rating of over 18%, making it the highest-rated Friday-Saturday drama in MBC's history.
According to Nielsen Korea's ratings on the 18th, the 12th episode of 'Knight Flower', which aired on the 17th recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 18.4%.

-If only the timing was right, it could've been an award-winning piece.
-Woah!!!!! Let's go for Season 2ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
-It's too short, I'm so disappointedㅠㅠㅠ The best drama I have ever watched in my life
-If only the timing was right, it could've been an award-winning piece.
-The biggest downside is that it's only 12 episodes longㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
-It's surprising how little buzz it generated.
-From start to finish, the directing and production were perfectㅠㅠㅠ
-It was super fun, from the first to the last episode, there wasn't a single disappointing moment, everything was perfect.
-Wow, but why wasn't there much buzz?
-If it were a 16-episode series, it would've surpassed 20%...
-The ending was done so well, I'm really happy with how it ended...
-It was really, really fun. It's a drama that anyone, regardless of age or genre preference, would enjoy. Try watching it once.
-The script was really good, neat, well-balanced, and meticulously built up. The drama's directing also matched well. It was so good.
-It's amazing. My friend said it was fun, so I watched it, and it was so enjoyable that I got hookedㅠㅠ I'm so disappointed that it's over. It's been so long since I've seen a drama this perfect.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that the cost of hanging out with friends...?ㅠㅠ is a waste?
Of course, it's fun and enjoyable to hang out with friends, but now that I'm an adult and almost only drink alcohol, I can't help but think it's meaningless to spend money on drinks...
Also, I admit I'm materialistic, but lately I keep thinking it's better to buy just one Dior tint instead of going out and spending 30,000 to 40,000 won... It's driving me crazy...
Maybe being a hermit is the answer after all.
