Basketball player Lee Gwanhee, who sparked controversy with his rude remarks toward Hong Jinkyung, has apologized directly to her.

On the 31st, Hong Jinkyung shared a screenshot of a text message she received from Lee Gwanhee. In the text, Lee Gwanhee wrote, "You're a Noona I genuinely like. He added, "I'm okay with being criticized, but I never want your feelings to be hurt. I sincerely apologize once again."

Hong Jinkyung replied to his text by saying, "Gwanhee-ya, you called yesterday and now you sent me another text today." She said, "Stop apologizing already. I also unintentionally make many mistakes when I'm on TV. It's okay." She added, "Just hurry up and come on 'Jin Genius' to teach me play basketball. No more apologies. Have a good day," inviting him to appear on her Youtube channel.

Previously, Lee Gwanhee posted a video of his reactions to Netflix's 'Single's Inferno 5' on his Youtube channel. Lee Gwanhee previously starred on 'Single's Inferno 3.' In the video, he said, "I don't think Jinkyung Noona knows much about dating," and asked Yoon Habin, who was. also on Season 3, "It pisses me off when she's giving dating advices there. What do you think?" Yoon Habin replied, "Isn't she married and has a child?" but Lee Gwanhee snapped back, "Does being married make her better than me? I'm going to get married too."

He went on to say, "I approve Hanhae, Dex, and Lee Dahee, but I honestly really don't understand Hong Jinkyung," adding, "I don't think she's better at dating than me. I don't think we get along."

When these remarks became known, netizens in online communities criticized him, calling him 'rude.' Eventually, Lee Gwanhee set the video in question to private.

In the video, Lee Gwanhee watched 'Single's Inferno 5' and shared his reactions to it together with Yoon Habin, who also starred in 'Single's Inferno 3.'
