The Netflix series 'Boyfriend on Demand' has stated that the appearance of BLACKPINK Jisoo's older brother's name in the ending credits is unrelated to the controversies surrounding him.
On the 21st, a representative from the 'Boyfriend on Demand' production company told Herald Muse, "Shortly after the release in early March, we confirmed there was an error in the actor management credits due to a mistake by the production team," and added, "We immediately corrected it."
Currently, the ending credits list only Jisoo's one-person agency, BLISSOO, under her management team. However, before the correction, other personnel were listed alongside the agency BLISSOO, including the name of her older brother.
The controversy began when it was revealed that a man in his 30s was accused of sexually harassing a female BJ and later was identified as 'the older brother of a famous girl group member.' Additionally, a post allegedly written by his wife claimed 'continuous physical and verbal abuse since registering their marriage' went viral, during which BLACKPINK's Jisoo was mentioned as the related family member.
In response, Jisoo's side stated on the 20th, "The current issues are completely unrelated to the artist and BLISSOO, and much of the information circulating online consists of unverified speculation or clear falsehoods," drawing a clear line.
They also explained, "The artist (Jisoo) became independent early as she started her trainee life at a young age and has lived apart from her family for a long time, making it impossible for her to be aware of or involved in that individual's private life."
However, Jisoo's legal representatives have not released a separate statement regarding additional inquiries about the ending credits.
