Waiting area for Baby DIVE
🐣"I'm waiting here"

This area is created for parents coming to pick up their children and for kids waiting for their parents

COMMENTS:

-According to people who went, there were parents standing around the entrance with their kids' names written on their phones.

-Whoa, that is really thoughtful.

-This is really nice to see.

-This is great. Considering they have a lot of young fans, having something like this for safety is a really wonderful idea.

-ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Imagine how fun that day must've been for Baby DIVEs.

-Crazy... This is way too cute.

-Please give Adult DIVEs a waiting area tooㅠㅠ

-This is actually a very safe and good systemㅋㅋㅋ

-So the parents can go inside to pick them up?? They're allowed to go inside??

-As an elementary school teacher, I can confirm that the girls really love IVE... I'm not even kidding. The question you ask them is not 'Do you like IVE?', but 'Which IVE member do you like?'ㅋㅋㅋ

-This is so cute. Their seat number is like their ID. There are a lot of staff walking around the area, so it actually seems safe for kids to go alone. This is really good. They must be having so much fun.

-The term 'Baby DIVE' itself is so freaking adorable.

-So cuteㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ There are really so many Baby DIVEs. It's so cute.

-I guess they made a waiting area in case the kids couldn't find their parents and end up crying. So cuteㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

'Pikki Pikki' Lee Jooeun excluded from the roster ... "First-ever idol to join KBO"

A Taiwanese cheerleader will appear in the KBO League for the first time.

On the 21st, the LG Twins revealed their cheerleader lineup (14 members) for the new season. While Lee Jooeun, famous for the 'Pikki Pikki' dance, was excluded from the list, a Taiwanese member of an idol group has joined, drawing significant attention.

Previously, many Korean cheerleaders advanced to the Taiwanese stage and gained popularity like celebrity. In contrast, Taiwanese cheerleaders' activities in Korea had been limited to other sports like soccer and basketball. Therefore, this marks the first case in the KBO League.

The new addition is Rona, a Taiwanese member of the group ILY:1. Rona, the only Taiwanese member in the group, previously competed in 'Girls Planet 999' in 2022. She will be taking on a new challenge as an LG cheerleader this season.

Rona shared her determination, saying, "I will do my best to cheer for LG's victory." The public is now focused on whether this will bring new changes to KBO cheerleading.

Meanwhile, Lee Jooeun, born in 2004, was active as a cheerleader for the KIA Tigers until 2024 and gained massive global popularity through a video of her performing the 'Pikki Pikki' dance. Afterward, she moved between Taiwan and Korea, working as a cheerleader for both the CPBL and KBO leagues.

Lee Jooeun will be taking a break this season. On the 21st, she posted on her social media account, "I have decided to take some time off to rest this year. I will work hard to greet you again soon with a better version of myself."

Young K carried out his first penalty since joining 'Amazing Saturday.'

On the episode of tvN's 'Amazing Saturday' that aired on the 21s, DAY6's Young K drew admiration with his first penalty.

The episode featured a 'Dance Club Gathering' special with themed costumes. Shin Dongyup appeared performing sphinx dance, while P.O became a casting manager, saying, "I came to the arts high school to cast dance club members."

Hanhae became part of a hip-hop club 'Hip Dong,' while Moon Seyoon jokingly called himself 'Hip-ttung.' Taeyeon made everyone laugh with a hip dance, saying, "This is why my hips won't stop," and Kim Donghyun added to the humor by reacting, "I've never heard that before."

Young K wore the bald disguise as a penalty for losing a previous match against P.O. It was his first penalty since becoming a regular cast, and P.O burst into laughter, looking highly satisfied with Young K's bald look.

Boom praised him, saying, "It suits you well. You have a really beautiful head shape. You look good even without a hat," and asked, "How does it feel?" Young K replied, "It feels refreshing. My bangs used to bother me, so it's nice not having them."

When Boom said, "Now you're truly part of the 'Amazing Saturday' family," and asked if he would make another bet, Young K responded with determination, "Just watch, I won't lose again," showing his competitiveness.

"Foreign media 250,000 VS Seoul city 40,000" Controversy over BTS Gwanghwamun concert audience numbers

SOURCE: "외신 25만명 VS 서울시 4만명", BTS 광화문 공연 '관객 수' 논란[MD이슈]

BTS' comeback concert held at Gwanghwamun Square on the 21st ended successfully, but conflicting analyses are emerging regarding the number of audiences.

The official seating prepared at the venue that day totaled 22,000, including standing (Section A), reserved seating (Section B), and additional seating (Section C). Fans who couldn't secure seats watched the performance from around the square.

Differences in media estimates and the controversy

On the 22nd, global music outlet Rolling Stone reported, "Last Saturday, over 250,000 fans gathered in Seoul, setting a record for the largest public concert in Korean history." However, criticism arose as this figure as simply quoted from the estimated number previously reported by foreign media like The New York Times without any actual verification.

Meanwhile, according to Seoul's real-time city data, the population around Gwanghwamun and Deoksugung Palace as of 8.30 PM (KST) that day was estimated at around 46,000 to 48,000 (classified as crowded). The organizer, HYBE, estimated about 104,000 people gathered based on data from the three major telecommunication providers and the proportion of foreign visitors.

Reason why the crowd was smaller than expected

Some point to strong measures by authorities as the reason why the crowd fell short of expectations. Due to safety concerns, authorities sent multiple emergency alerts requesting people to refrain from visiting. Furthermore, inconveniences such as excessive bag checks, body searches, and subways skipping stops are believed to also have discouraged people from attending.

BTS' leader, RM, posted a long message on the fan communication platform Weverse on behalf of the group, saying, "We sincerely thank everyone who showed generous consideration and support so that our comeback stage could be completed safely."

BTS wrote, "We are truly sorry and grateful to the citizens, as well as the merchants and workers around the Gwanghwamun area, for enduring various inconveniences such as traffic control and noise. We will never take for granted the warm consideration you showed in embracing our concert, and we will remember it deeply for a long time."

After successfully completing their comeback concert, BTS departed for New York via Incheon International Airport on the morning of the 22nd to carry out their overseas schedule.

COMMENTS:

-Give a proper apology before you leave.

-Compensate the damages you've caused.

-If you're really sorry, compensate the damages you've causedㅋ

-Return the citizens' tax money.

-It's f*cking ridiculous how they're just running off overseas right away.

-Don't we need to restrict traffic on Incheon Airport too?ㅠㅠ

-Huk... Shouldn't they deploy 15,000 extra security guards at the airport??

-Did you even get the citizens' consents?? At least compensate the damages you've caused before leaving.

-Don't just talk, apologize with money.

-I bet they'll go on some late-night talk show and show off photos from their Gwanghwamun concert.

-Scammersㅋㅋㅋ

-They're just acting like it's none of their business now??

-You even conducted body searches on the citizens of your own country due to terror threats. How can you trust going overseas then???

-They have no conscience.

-Don't ever come back.
