Super Junior's members Eunhyuk and Donghae met singer Brian.

On the 21st, a video titled "'We came to see your house' Brian clutches the back of his neck as Super Junior's invasion (Unreleased SM debut group stories, the founder of SM etiquette training)' was posted on the Youtube channel 'The Brian.'

That day, Eunhyuk and Donghae visited Brian's house in Pyeongtaek to chat. while sitting at Brian's home bar, they ended up reminiscing about the 2002 World Cup.

Brian recalled that he didn't like Fly to the Sky's song 'Sea of Love' when he first heard it, saying, "Hwanhee and I were pursuing R&B hip-hop, but 'Sea of Love' was pop."

However, he went along because Brown Eyes' 'Already One Year' was a hit at the time. Brian added, "The timing was good. It became one of the 'World Cup' song," saying it worked out well.

Hearing this, Donghae said, "You must've been happy back then. I was preparing to debut in a group called 'Smile' at the time, but it got canceled because the World Cup exploded in popularity," expressing regret.

When Brian asked what the group name 'Smile' meant, Eunhyuk replied, "It just meant a bright group," and casually added, "I still don't know what Super Junior means."

Eunhyuk explained, "Right before our debut, we went on a group workshop for two days and one night. We put together a performance and showed it to the staff. After seeing it, (Lee Sooman) said, 'You guys aren't just juniors. You're Super Junior,' that's how it happened."

In response, Brian joked, "That's just like Hwanhee. We were told we had to perform the next day, and suddenly the day before, they told him, 'You're Hwanhee now.' He was so confused," adding to the laughter.

THE BOYZ has requested the termination of their exclusive contract with their agency One Hundred Label and has also filed a lawsuit against the agency's CEO on charges of embezzlement.

On the 21st, THE BOYZ's legal representatives stated, "We recently filed a lawsuit against One Hundred Label CEO Cha Gawon for violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (Embezzlement)." It is reported that the nine members, excluding New, are involved in this lawsuit.

After signing with One Hundred Label in December 2024, nine members of THE BOYZ filed an injunction in February this year to suspend the validity of their exclusive contracts.

At the time, they claimed that the agency had failed to pay their settlement earnings since July last year and had refused to provide access to documents needed to verify the transparency in financial settlements.

In response, One Hundred stated, "We cannot accept THE BOYZ's request to terminate the exclusive contract."

Despite the conflict with their agency, THE BOYZ will proceed with their solo concert scheduled from the 24th to the 26th at KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

Singer and actress Nana (real name: Im Jinah) appeared in court as a witness in a trial for home-invasion robbery case.

On the 21st, the Namyangju Branch of the Uijeongbu District Court held the third trial for A, a man in his 30s who was detained and indicted on charges of robbery and causing injury. Previously, Nana had filed a notice of non-attendance due to the psychological burden of facing the perpetrator. However, it was not accepted, leading her to stood in court today.

Appearing with her face covered by a hat and mask, Nana said, "I took a medicine before coming here. I'm very nervous. I prepared to control my emotions here." She added, "I plan to speak honestly and truthfully as it is."

Regarding the suspect denying the charges, Nana said, "It's absurd. It's ironic that I even have to be here," and added, "If I speak honestly, a proper judgment will be made," as she headed into the courtroom.

As soon as she entered the courtroom, Nana confronted A, saying, "Is this fun for you? Look at me straight in the eyes." The court asked her to take her seat, noting, "We understand your feelings, but the trial cannot proceed smoothly in such a heated state." Nana responded, "There's no way I can not be emotional."

Recalling the incident, Nana testified, "I heard my mother groaning and the sound of a man breathing. Sensing danger from those sounds, I went there as cautiously as possible. When I saw the scene, I was also in a state of shock. My only thought was to hurry and separate my mother from that man."

She continued, "I never imagined there would be a knife. I just thought I had to take it away. Seeing his actions and the knife in his hand, I believed he could do anything to my mother," emphasizing, "It was instinctive self-defense."

In last November, A broke into Nana's home in Acheon-dong, Guri, Gyeonggi Province and threatened Nana and her mother with a weapon. At the time, Nana and her mother managed to subdue him after a physical struggle before calling the police. It is reported that they sustained injuries requiring 33 days and 31 days of recovery, respectively.

After being detained, A counter-sued Nana for attempted murder and aggravated assault, but the police ruled Nana's actions as self-defense and decided not to forward the case. Nana's side responded, "This is a malicious secondary attack and false claims. We will take all possible civil and criminal legal action and hold him accountable. There will be no settlement," and sued him for false accusation.

Meanwhile, on the 28th of last month, Nana shared an article about her appearance in the court on social media, saying, "Something feels very wrong. But since the law is like this, I have no choice but to follow it. Many people are worried, but don't worry. I will do well." She also warned the perpetrator, saying, "I'll be watching to see how well you act in court."

Jisoo denied any connections to her older brother, yet his name appears as CEO in the credits of 'Boyfriend on Demand'

SOURCE: 지수, 친오빠 관련 없다더니…'월간남친' 크레딧에 대표 이름 버젓이

While BLACKPINK's Jisoo stated that she has no connections to her older brother, who is currently embroiled in various criminal allegations, attention is being drawn to the fact that his name was clearly listed as the agency's CEO in the credits of her previous works.

On the 20th, the legal representative of Jisoo's one-person agency BLISSOO released a statement, saying, "The current issues are completely unrelated to the artist and BLISSOO, and much of the information circulating online consists of unverified speculation or clear falsehoods."

They added, "The artist became independent early as she started her trainee life at a young age and has lived apart from her family for a long time, making it impossible for her to be aware of or involved in that individual's private life," clearly distancing her from the controversy involving her older brother.

They continued, "While the artist received limited advice from family members during the early stages of preparing to establish BLISSOO, no family member has ever received a salary or participate in the decision-making. Since then, the company has been operating completely independently without any involvement from family members."

Additionally, they clarified that rumors suggesting 'the individual in question and the artist established the agency together' or that 'the individual in question is an executive or CEO of BLISSOO' are entirely false and that the individual in question has no legal or managerial relationship to BLISSOO.

However, contrary to this statements, some netizens have raised questions after noticing that Jisoo's older brother's name was listed as the agency's CEO in the credits of her projects. Not only in the credits of 'Newtopia' released in February, but also in the credits of 'Boyfriend on Demand' released last month, a person with the same name as her older brother was listed as the CEO of BLISSOO Entertainment. Following the controversy, the staff credits for 'Boyfriend on Demand' were reportedly edited to remove all individual staff names and changing it simply to 'BLISSOO Entertainment.'

Netizens are saying that if her brother was never involved in BLISSOO's management, as Jisoo's side had claimed, an explanation is needed as to why his name appeared in the credits. On the other hand, some netizens are defending her, saying, "It could be someone with the same name," and "Since Jisoo has clearly drawn a line, it's too much to link her to a family member's wrongdoing."

Meanwhile, reports claimed that a man identified as the older brother of a girl group member had been accused not only of sexually harassing a female BJ, but also abusing his wife. Following this, speculation later arose that the individual in question was Jisoo's older brother.

SOURCE: 블랙핑크 지수, 공항 취재 돌연 취소…가족 논란 여파?

BLACKPINK's Jisoo has suddenly canceled her scheduled media coverage for her departure to Paris on the 22nd. It is now being interpreted as a result of the ongoing controversy involving her older brother, who has been booked on charges of sexual assault and is also facing accusations of domestic violence.

A representative stated on the 21st, "Due to unavoidable internal circumstances, the press schedule regarding Jisoo's airport departure scheduled for the 22nd has been canceled." Jisoo was originally planned to depart for Paris, France, via Incheon Airport on the 22nd and showcase her airport fashion to the press.

The cancellation drew attention as it follows immediately after her agency, BLISSOO, released an official statement the previous day, the 20th, regarding the controversy surrounding her older brother. Through their legal representative from Kim & Chang, they stated, "The current issues are completely unrelated to the artist and BLISSOO," and added, "Jisoo became independent early as she started her trainee life at a young age and has lived apart from her family for a long time, making it impossible for her to be aware of or involved in that individual's private life."

Furthermore, they also emphasized that while she did receive some limited advice from family members during the early stages of establishing BLISSOO, "no family member has ever received a salary or participated in the decision-making.

Additionally, they firmly stated there is no current or future plans to provide financial or legal support to the individual in question. Regarding the spread of false information and defamation, they stated, "We will take all possible civil and criminal legal action."

Police request arrest warrant for HYBE's Bang Sihyuk on charges of fraudulent unfair trading

SOURCE: 경찰, 하이브 방시혁 구속영장 신청…사기적 부정거래 혐의

Police have applied for an arrest warrant for HYBE's chairman, Bang Sihyuk, who is suspected of engaging in fraudulent unfair trading.

On the 21st, the Financial Crimes Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that they had requested an arrest warrant for Bang Sihyuk on charges of fraudulent unfair trading.

Bang Sihyuk is accused of inducing investors to sell their shares to a specific private equity fund in 2019 after telling them there were no plans for a public listing. The investors reportedly sold their stakes based on his statements, but there are suspicions that HYBE was already undergoing preliminary procedures for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) at the time.

In this process, Bang Sihyuk is also suspected of pocketing approximately 190 billion KRW in illicit gains through a prior shareholders' agreement with the private equity fund.

In response, the police imposed a travel ban on Bang Sihyuk last year and have conducted five separate rounds of investigation.
