Kim Soohyun's legal representative, attorney Go Sangrok, strongly refuted the claims made by the late Kim Saeron's family and CEO of Youtube channel 'Garo Sero Research Institute,' Kim Se-eui, accusing them of 'creating false narrative to manipulate public opinion.'
On October 27th, attorney Go Sangrok revealed via his Youtube channel and social media that the incident began when CEO Kim Se-eui spread false information based on a fabricated statement allegedly left by the late Kim Saeron. He stated, "Only after we demanded on September 30th that they release the evidence they claimed to have, they finally closed their mouths and have remained silent for nearly a month."
He continued, stating that photos taken during Kim Saeron's adulthood were falsely presented as proof that Kim Soohyun dated her when she was underage. Attorney Go also stated, "CEO Kim Se-eui claimed on air that he would release thousands of photos, but hasn't released a single one up to this second." Furthermore, the attorney claimed that the letters Kim Soohyun sent while serving in the military service were falsely presented alongside postcards they exchanged during Kim Saeron's adulthood, misleadingly branding it all as 'proof of grooming.'
Attorney Go claimed that they also forged the sender of Kakao Talk messages to make it look like they were sent by Kim Soohyun and deliberately manipulated so that the pictures taken during Kim Saeron's adulthood seem like they were taken when she was underage, asserting that the perpetrators did these for his own benefit, despite knowing that these were false information.
Attorney Go stressed, "After Kim Saeron passed away, the perpetrators teamed up for their own benefit. They took lies that the late Kim Saeron never actually told when she was alive, bringing them back and pretending the lies were her own words. Kim Se-eui, backed with the support of Kim Saeron's family, built up fake evidence, using the late Kim Saeron as a shield, twisted the real story, and spread false information widely. This is a heinous crime because they took advantage of the fact that no one can easily argue against what a dead person supposedly said when she was alive."
He continued, "They profited off her name to collect donation money, gain political influence, and promote their own names. This is a premeditated conspiracy. They're using a dead person as a shield to destroy a living person. The real issue in this case is evidence fabrication. This entire incident is an unprecedented large-scale fraud crime against the public, where they used fake evidence to destroy the reputation of an innocent victim."
Meanwhile, the late Kim Saeron's family has claimed through 'Garo Sero Research Institute' that Kim Soohyun dated Kim Saeron while she was a minor, from late 2015 to Jul 2021. In respone, Kim Soohyun's side clarified that their relationship began after she became an adult, from summer 2019 to fall 2020.
