'Is an apology enough?' ... Lee Yikyung's rumor spreader deletes account after admitting using AI

Social media account of netizen 'A,' who raised allegations about Lee Yikyung's private life, has been deleted.

As of the morning of October 22, the Twitter account A had been using now displays the message: 'This account doesn't exist. Try searching for another account.'

Previously, A had caused a stir by releasing screenshots of chat with someone saved as 'Actor Lee Yikyung,' claiming there were inappropriate sexual remarks. In response, Lee Yikyung's agency, Sanyoung Ent., announced, "We are preparing legal action against the spread of false information and malicious rumors recently posted and circulated on online communities and social media. Given the seriousness of this matter, we plan to pursue every possible legal measures by calculating the scale of damages resulting from the rumors."

Despite this, A had previously signaling further revelations, saying, "It wasn't for money, but to prevent harm to other women," claiming, "I'm gathering more evidence."

However, suddenly in the early morning of the 22nd, A confessed, saying "It all started as a joke. I didn't expect it to get so much attention. But as I kept posting and using AI-generated photos, I gradually started to believe it myself."

A apologized, "I'm truly sorry for spreading malicious rumors about Lee Yikyung. What began as a fan admiration gradually turned into emotional overinvolvement. I feel guilty because what started as fun gradually seemed to become real. If I need to take responsibility, I will. Please understand that my Korean is clumsy since I'm German."

Netizens are now left baffled after the scandal involved accusation, deletion, confession, and now the disappearance of the social media. Although the controversy seems to have to come to an end with A's confession of fabrication, Lee Yikyung's image has already suffered severe damage.

1. [+265][-6] If he doesn't press charges, people will suspect it was settled with money and eventually, crimes like this will increase. He definitely must file a lawsuit.

2. [+218][-26] At first, she admitted the conversations were edited but claimed the chat did happen. Now suddenly, it's AI-generated?ㅋ She was paid off with money.

3. [+166][-6] I wonder what is the truth? This is shady.

4. [+30][-6] How many people will believe this?ㅎㅎ Anyway... What an embarrassing mess.

5. [+23][-3] We've seen how real victims respond, they get extremely angry and immediately sue with no mercy. Now look at what happens??

6. [+14][-3] This is how to understand what's true and what's false:
1. If his agency decides not to pursue it further after A apologizes and deletes her account -> A is telling the truth.
2. If his agency tracks A down even after she apologizes and deletes her account -> A is lying.

Hwasa hints at breakup with 12-years-older businessman boyfriend ... "There is such thing as a good goodbye"

Hwasa shared her thoughts on what it means to have a good breakup.

On the October 22 broadcast of SBS PowerFM Cultwo Show, Hwasa and Hong Yoonhwa appeared as guests.

Hwasa recently released her new song, 'Good Goodbye,' and has been actively promoting it. The rhythmic ballad, written and composed by Hwasa herself, combined with her soulful voice, is gaining paise for many listeners for its emotional lyrics about wishing happiness to a past lover.

During the show, Hwasa started by introducing 'Good Goodbye' as 'Hwasa-style ballad.'

She continued, "The title means a good goodbye. When I first wrote this song, many people didn't understand it, asking 'Can there be such a thing as a good goodbye?' or 'I've never had one, so I wouldn't know.' But after releasing it, many people told me, 'I haven't had a good goodbye, but I think I understand it now," expressing her pride.

Host Kim Taekyun then asked her, "Have you had a good goodbye? I'm not sure a good goodbye can exist between lovers."

Hwasa replied, "I think it can." Kim Taekyun agreed, saying, "I guess it's possible. Sometimes you can love someone, but feel stressful in a relationship with them. In that case, since they are not meant to be, it might be better to part ways."

Hwasa was previously reported in 2023 to be dating a businessman 12 years older than her for 5 years., though her agency commented at the time, "It is difficult to confirm as it is a matter of her private life."

Earlier this year, Hwasa appeared on Park Narae's Youtube channel along with model Han Hyejin, where she hinted at her breakup by saying, "Aren't all three of us single right now?"

1. [+138][-24] It's not just about lovers, it could be about friends or fans too. It's about all kinds of goodbyes where you wish the other person well. Hwasa definitely has great sensibility, this is the best of her recent songs.

2. [+103][-25] The lyrics are beautiful and it's so addictive that I keep humming it. Hwasa's deep tone really suits the autumn vibeㅎㅎ It hit Melon's TOP 10 today, so it will probably climb higher soon.

3. [+84][-23] The MV is cinematic and beautiful. As expected, Hwasa is definitely the coolest when she sings.

4. [+49][-21] World star Hwasa... Even the way she breaks up is cool.

5. [+32][-5] The song is seriously good... Like 'Maria,' the fact that she wrote the lyrics herself more makes it feel even more sincer.

6. [+29][-16] So pretty. I'm always rooting for you, Hwasa❤️

7. [+20][-3] Break ups happen, you know...

-Who keeps casting him? There are like... five billion dramas I can't watch because of him.

-He must be getting cast because there's demand for him.

-Ugh... I was a fool for getting my hopes up.

-Damn... I was looking forward to this drama, but now I can't watch it.

-I think Kim Seonho will do well.

-Nice... I've been waiting for his next projectㅋ

-First of all, he doesn't suit the role... His character is supposed to be more slender and fragile-looking...

-What did Kim Seonho do wrong? If you look at what that woman's ex-husband exposed, you'll know that she was the one with the messy relationships. People on Theqo are the only ones hating on him, that's why you guys can't understand why he's still popularㅋㅋㅋ

-Ah... I have a lot to say, but I'll just stay quiet.

-Why are they casting someone who doesn't even fit the age range and has controversy? His acting is not even that great.

-People are still making a fuss about him?? I'm so excited for this drama!!

-Are there really no other actors to cast?

-Ugh, he should just drop out from this drama.

-Well, he is a good actor, that's why he keeps getting cast.

-He's going to play a character in their 20s? It doesn't suit him at all.

-What’s with that headline?

-…Journalists really love adding weird labels to people.

-Uncle, please act again.

-Is the journalist trying to provoke Wonbin on purpose?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Honestly, it’s not that he couldn’t do it. He just didn’tㅋㅋㅋㅋ If he makes a comeback, people would instantly line up for him.

-If Wonbin said he wanted to act again, Netflix would show up in front of his house with bags of money..

-That's so freaking hilariousㅋㅋㅋ He needs to actually be active to make a Netflix debut!!

-Wonbin just chose not toㅋ What kind of stupid headline is that?

-Netflix didn’t even exist in Korea when he was active…

-She’s pretty.

-Uncle, please come back to acting, I’m begging youㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

-I haven't even watched her drama, but I've seen posts calling her Wonbin's niece like five billion times.

-That's funnyㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Tell your uncle to please start acting again.

-I thought she was cast as Wonbin's niece in a movie or drama, but she's actually his real nieceㅋㅋ

Woman in her 50s scammed out of 500 million KRW by AI fake 'Lee Jungjae'

A romance scam ring impersonating actor Lee Jungjae scammed about 500 million KRW from a woman in her 50s. They deceived the victim by sending fake photos of Lee Jungjae created by AI and even a forged driver's license.

The scam began with a Tiktok message. Someone introduced themselves as actor Lee Jungjae, saying that he wanted to communicate with fans, and approached Ms. A, a woman in her 50s living in Miryang, South Gyeongsang Province, last April. He then encouraged her to move their conversation to Kakao Talk.

Victim A: He kept insisting that he was really Lee Jungjae. He said he was too busy to prove it otherwise, asking me to trust him.

To pretend to be the real Lee Jungjae, the scammer sent AI-generated 'airport selfies' and even a fake ID with incorrect birth date. After gaining trust from the victim, he introduced someone he called a 'manager,' and that's when the fraud started. The 'manager' demanded 6 million KRW from Ms. A, claiming it was to arrange a personal meeting with Lee Jungjae.

Victim A: I said I didn't want to spend money to meet him, but he said that he would handle it himself once we met.

Once she was hooked, the demands increased. The scammer asked for 10 million KRW to issue a 'VIP fan meeting cad,' and later claimed Lee Jungjae was detained at an airport in the U.S., repeatedly extracting tens of million KRW. The scammer affectionately called her 'honey' and 'darling,' deceiving her into believing they had naturally progressed into a romantic relationship. Ms. A, who believed she would get all her money back, eventually lost 500 million KRW over six months.

Victim A: He promised he'd pay it all back when he came. I said, 'If you're really Lee Jungjae, how could you do this to me?'

When Miryang Police Station began an investigation, the scammer messaged her again asking her to trust him. The South Gyeongsang Provincial Police took over this case and keeping all possibilities open, including connections to a Cambodian crime organization.

-AI is truly a problem.

-Whoa... She actually fell for that.

-Why criticize the victim? Don't become a perpetrator yourself. Have some empathy. People with lower cognitive ability can easily be fooled.

-I feel sorry for her... Getting scammed by something that so sloppy. Life must be so hard for her.

-Those pictures obviously look AI-generated.

-It honestly fascinates me that she was fooled by that.

-The victim sounds like a Korean-American who's lived in the U.S. for a long time... That's probably why she couldn't tell that his texts sounded like Google translate.

-AI is going to look even more realistic soon... I'm seriously concerned.

-He literally sounds like Google translate in those texts.

-Why are people in the comments blaming the victim?

-ㅋㅋㅋㅋ How did someone who falls for things like that even manage to save 500 million KRW?

-Wh would Lee Jungjae want to contact you in the first place...

-Why would Lee Jungjae go after you...? He's literally dating a Chaebol girlfriend.

-Why would Lee Jungjae ask you for money............

Model-actor 'A', recruiter who sold Korean women as slaves for Cambodian adult-broadcasting for 5 million KRW

It was revealed that model and actor A acted as a recruiter who sold Korean women to a Cambodian crime organization.

According to Dong-A Ilbo, A deceived B, a woman in her 30s, who arrived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in April last year by pretending to here her as a Japanese interpreter. A then sold her to the crime organization for 5 million KRW.

B was locked up by the organization for a month and forced to perform in adult broadcasts. She was beaten when her earnings failed to meet the 'target' set by the organization. Fortunately, she was eventually rescued by her family.

However, B testified that she heard screams for help from the next room, suggesting there may be more victims.

A is reportedly a minor actor and model whose name can even be found through Korean portal searches.

Lee Yikyung's exposer suddenly apologizes ... "It was just a prank, AI-generated... I didn't expect it to get so much attention"

Ms. A, who had previously exposed Lee Yikyung's private life, apologized by saying, "I'm truly sorry for spreading malicious rumors. I used AI-generated photos," and clarified that the rumors were not true.

On the 22nd, a German woman identified as Ms. A posted an apology, saying, "Recently, I posted various photos related to Lee Yikyung. It all started as a joke. I didn't expect it to get so much attention. But as I kept posting and using AI-generated photos, I gradually started to believe it myself."

Ms. A continued, "I'm truly sorry for spreading malicious rumors about Lee Yikyung. What began as a fan admiration gradually turned into emotional overinvolvement." She confirmed that all claims made about Lee Yikyung's private life were false.

She added, "I feel guilty because what started as fun gradually seemed to become real. If I need to take responsibility, I will. Please understand that my Korean is clumsy since I'm German."

Previously on the 20th, Ms. A had posted messages and DMs on her blog, claiming they were conversations she had with Lee Yikyung. The content was shocking, as it included Lee Yikyung demanding explicit photos from Ms. A and using vulgar language.

These messages quickly spread through online communities and social media. In response, Lee Yikyung's agency announced, "We are preparing legal action against the spread of false information and malicious rumors recently posted and circulated on online communities and social media." The agency added, "Given the seriousness of this matter, we plan to pursue every possible legal measures by calculating the scale of damages resulting from the rumors."

They further stated, "Both the creation and distribution of such false content will be subject to legal action. Please be cautious to prevent unnecessary damages."

8. [+195][-7] If that woman doesn't go to jail, it means they settled. The damage done to his image was massive and he's just letting it slide?? This could've ruined someone's life, though...? If I were Lee Yikyung and it wasn't true, I'd go insane from frustration.

9. [+197][-16] Such a weird turn of events... Was there a settlement behind closed doors?

10. [+180][-11] Financial settlement completed.
