Kim Seonho will star as the lead role in the upcoming drama 'May the Congressman Protect You'
According to industry insiders on the 22nd via Sports Chosun, Kim Seonho has been cast as the main lead in the new drama 'May the Congressman Protect You.' This drama is based on a popular web novel by writer Kim Hyunbin, which gained a solid fanbase during its serialization.
The story is about Gu Youngjin, a six-term heavyweight lawmaker who takes his own life in 2008 and wakes up as a ghost 10 years earlier, in 1998, where he teams up with a level-9 civil servant, Cha Jaerim, to take over the National Assembly.
Kim Seonho will play Cha Jaerim, a level-9 civil servant who possesses the ability to see ghosts. After his encounter with Gu Youngjin's ghost, he suddenly rises in the political scene like a supernova, where he goes head-to-head wth the living version of Congressman Gu Youngjin.
This drama will be directed by Park Shinwoo, who previously worked on 'Jealousy Incarnation,' 'It's Okay to Not Be Okay,' 'Encounter,' and 'Unwritten in Seoul.'
