The line from Han Jimin's new drama that's currently gaining a lot of backlash

'Isn't tea supposed to get richer in flavor the longer it ages?'

'The aroma fades, the taste weakens, and fresh young leaves sprout every year. So, why bother keeping them to use later? Whether it's tea or anything else, you can just say that things lose their value as they age.

'I thought I could date or love whenever I wanted as long as I made up my mind. But I was wrong. I just let the best years for love pass me by'

For the record, the female lead is 34 years old.

COMMENTS: 

-This is actually kind of true… It’s not that women in their 30s are the problem… It's that there are no decent men in their 30s left. They are already married or dating women in their late 20s.

-In an era where people live to 100, the 30s isn't an old age.

-Are you kidding me?

-Someone could think that way, I guess... It's natural to feel regret about the time that has passed. But hearing that line coming out from Han Jimin's face is a bit unrealistic.

-I can’t believe dramas these days still use such outdated ideas.

-That's not entirely wrong, but they always give these kinds of lines only to female characters. The issue of delayed marriage applies to both women and men.

-This makes me angry.

-Is this a drama from 20 years ago or something?

-People with that mindset must be quite unhappy with their lives.

-It's a fact that dating and marriage are harder for a woman at that age. Why deny it?

-It sounds realistic to me, though...

-If this makes you angry, it means you’re old.

-These lines don't feel like they belong in 2026.
