Song Jihyo opens up about her relationship with her mother.

When Yang Sechan asked, "When you go grocery shopping with your mom, do you hold her hand, link arms, or walk separately?" Song Jihyo laughed and replied, "I'm sorry. I don't think I've ever gone grocery shopping with my mom."

Song Jihyo then made a surprising confession, saying, "At some point, I started calling my parents by their names." Yang Sechan responded in disbelief, "That is totally disrespectful. That's trash behavior."

Song Jihyo explained, "I have a reason for it, but talking about it makes me want to cry. One day, my mom had an especially hard time. She was crying and looking for her own mother. Seeing that made me realize, 'She may be my mom, but she was also someone's daughter.' I had never thought about that before, since I had only ever seen her as my mother since I was born. I felt so sorry for her and decided that I should treat her more like a friend."
