PLAVE faces severe technical errors during their tour in Jakarta

At first, the main stage screen went out, then the side ones went out too, and then lines appeared on the main screen... After this incident, my energy dropped. That's why the footage is super shaky. It's because I filmed it while yawningㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Even after two songs... Everyone around me was like, "What do we do now?"

The mood was completely ruined. Can this even count as temporary lighting, mic, and screen issue? This is a virtual concert, though?

Seems like this is their main issue.

The tickets are expensive, they should've paid extra attention to the screens because this is a virtual concert.

theqoo

-So they don't even go on-site and just broadcast the concert virtually? What an easy gig for them.

-If the members are not physically there, how is that different from just watching at home? The concert sound isn't live either, it must be just a broadcast... What a truly bizarre world.

-About the performance -> They redid it✅

About the apology -> The local concert organizer apologized✅
The members also apologized on stage✅
However, PLAVE's company has not apologized yet❌

About refunds and follow up actions -> No update yet❌

-It looks like they can't go to the local venue because the studio where they can perform is in South Korea...

-So... Will they give refunds for this?

-I'm curious... Are the real members in Korea, while the staff goes to the local venue?

-It must be nerve-wrecking every time they perform overseas, since transmission issues like this can happen anytime, anywhere.

-If it's that unstable, they shouldn't do overseas tours. It's ridiculous to expect fans to understand all these issues.

-Are fans not demanding refunds????? Shouldn't they obviously give refunds?

-Yeah... That definitely deserves a refund... I mean, with virtual concerts you’re literally just staring at screens the whole time...

-But the atmosphere in the venue in person was actually not that bad. This is an issue with Indonesia's unstable internet...

-If the actual members are in South Korea, isn't that basically a scam?ㅋㅋ How is that any different from live viewing?

-Even when Korean idols do live streams from Jakarta, the connection is often poor.

'Bomb threat at virtual idol group PLAVE's concert in Gocheok Dome' ... Police arrest man in his 20s

https://naver.me/5qca5xyT

The Yongin Seobu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced that they have arrested a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of public intimidation.

At around 13.50 yesterday (19th), Mr. A allegedly edited the promotional poster for PLAVE's encore concert scheduled for November 21-22 at Gocheok Sky Dome, adding the phrase 'I will plant explosives.'

After receiving report about the incident, police arrested Mr. A within two and a half hours.

During questioning, Mr. A reportedly stated that 'It was just a joke.'

Police plan to transfer the case to the police station with jurisdiction over Mr. A's residence to continue the investigation.

theqoo

-A joke?? Don't brush this off.

-Let's start giving these people harsher punishment...

-Joke? My ass... He's a terrorist. He deserves to be punished.

-This keeps happening because people like him don't actually get punished.

-Let's hang him up in Gwanghwamun as a joke.

-Reveal this dumbass' identity.

-Men...

-Please let's just reveal his face.

-How many times has this happened?...

-Ha... I'm so f*cking sick of this.

-He should get at least 10 years in prison.

-Every time police arrests someone, it's always a man in his 20s to 30s... Is this a coincidence?

-People like him won't stop unless if their identities get revealed.

-What a pathetic little loser.

-Is this a trend now?

PLAVE to kick off Asia tour, starts with 3 days concert at KSPO Dome, August 15–17

Q. How does a PLAVE concert work?

A. Here are some videos

-Ah... So they're just going to play pre-recorded videos?

-Whoa... That's fascinating.

-I'm really excited for this. Please, let me get just one seatㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

-So for the overseas concerts, they're going to perform live, but not on-site?? Like... Fans are going to be at a concert venue, but they're just going to watch them like an online concert??

-So even for the overseas concert, they're going to stream from a studio in Korea?

-I'm suddenly curious about what the members will actually be wearing during the concert.

-Whoa... They're really popular.

-I was wondering how they're going to handle the members' securities when they go to other countries for the tour, but it turns out they're not even leaving Korea?? They're just going to stream from Korea?? That's fascinating.

-I'm curious... Are they going to play pre-recorded videos?? Or are they actually going overseas in person?

-I wonder if they're going to live stream from Korea for their overseas concerts? That must be really convenient for the membersㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I want to go to their concert...

-Oh... That's really amazing in a good wayㅋㅋㅋ It would be super fun to see them live at the venue.

-So... They don't actually have to go abroad for their overseas concerts? That's amazing.

-Hul... I have to go to their concert.

-Ah... My heart is racing.

"I'm getting a reality check" ... Kim Shinyoung under fire for belittling virtual idol group

Comedian Kim Shinyoung is facing backlash for allegedly mocking the virtual idol group 'PLAVE.'

On the February 16th broadcast of MBC FM4U's 'Song of Hope with Kim Shinyoung,' she commented on PLAVE's song 'Dash,' saying, "Hasn't it been two years since PLAVE debuted? I still can't get used to it." She added, "What made me really upset was that Go Youngbae took a picture with a PLAVE member. I was really surprised. I wondered, 'How did he record with (PLAVE)? How did he do a show with them?'"

Rapper Hangzoo explained, "You can't meet them. I’m close to virtual idols. Basically, they live in a different world, so we can't meet them. We can only communicate through social media. Kim Shinyoung responded, "I'm going crazy. Then does that mean Go Youngbae took a picture by himself?" Hangzoo clarified, "It was edited. These characters can come to specific places, so Go Youngbae went there and took the photo himself."

Kim Shinyoung said, "To be completely honest, (PLAVE) can't appear on our show. I think I'd get a sense of disillusionment with reality if they ever did. Where am I supposed to look when the members are not actually there? I know we should accept this kind of culture, but I just can't yet."

PLAVE fans expressed their displeasure. The radio show's viewer message board was flooded with demands for an apology and for Kim Shinyoung to step down from her position as host. Comments included, "I didn't expect her to be so rude. I'm disappointed," "PLAVE didn't do anything wrong. She's the one who needs a reality check," and "She should apologize for her careless remarks."

theqoo

-I'm rooting for Kim Shinyoungㅠㅠ

-Hul... It even made the news. It's understandable for someone in her 40s to not understand virtual idols. Are their fans seriously telling her to step down?? Go criticize your own idolsㅜ

-Conversations are meant to be face-to-face with interaction. But with virtual idols, she has to pretend there's someone in front of her when actually, there's nothing there. It's understandable for her to say she can't do that.

-It's fine to like virtual idols. But shouldn't you also understand that there are people out there who feel disillusioned to talk to an empty space while pretending there's someone??

-The other party can see me, but I have to pretend to see them when in reality, I'm talking to thin air. Isn't that extremely difficult?

-I do think she was rude, but the fans, or at least some of them, are overreacting, which seems to be backfiring...

-To muggles, this is just... completely absurd.

-Although it was unfortunate she mentioned it on the show, I completely agree with Kim Shinyoung's thoughts.

-Regular people might feel uncomfortable or not understand it. It's a transitional period. Why are they attacking her for it?

-I wish they wouldn’t show up on music shows. It looks so bizarre every time I see it.

-Honestly, having to talk to thin air could definitely be disillusioning.

-I read the full context, and she wasn’t rude or anything. It's just a normal reaction from someone who's not familiar with the concept of virtual idols.

-Just accept the fact that anyone who’s not a fan would think this way;;

-It seems like something that could be resolved with just an apology, but demanding her resignation is over the top...

-Should she apologize to thin air too then?

The harmonisation in PLAVE's side-track acapella versionㄷㄷㄷㄷ

The harmonization is insaneㄷㄷ

theqoo

-This is amazing ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

-Now I understand why PLAVE originally aimed to be a vocal group.

-The harmonisation is insaneㅠㅠㅠㅠ

-This is so good... It gave me chills. It's just insane. I can't stop listening to itㅜㅜ

-It feels like my ears open up when they start harmonizing...

-Each of them sounds amazing. None of them is trying to outshine the others or showing off their own vocals, they all just blend perfectly into the music.

-This sounds like a pop song. I love it.

-Each member has a unique voice, yet they blend so harmoniously. It's so amazing. I love it.

-Whoa... The harmonies are insane. And this is self-produced?? That's crazy.

-I was so sleepy, my eyes were already half-closed. But as soon as they started harmonizing, my eyes opened so wideㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I woke up instantlyㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Whoa.. Even without the MR, they sound really amazing. Their songs are so good.

-The song somehow feels so elegant and classy.

-The harmonization is insane... The way the video shows the sky during the harmonization part was absolutely beautiful.

-😇 This is just like heaven, seriously.

-I heard they originally wanted to be a vocal group, not a dance-idol group. They must've been really confident in their skills to make that decision as a virtual group.

PLAVE's official account is currently in chaos due to SEVENTEEN's fans accusing them of plagiarism

PLAVE's album teaser that was recently released

The title (This man / This boy)

The key phrase "HAVE YOU SEEN"

The design (Font, effects that resemble sharp lightning, the gloomy black and white atmosphere, the text that resembles a wanted poster)

They adopted the rare urban legend "This Man" that JxW used less than a year ago.

I'm really sorry, but as soon as I saw it, I thought, 'Huh?? This looks really similar to 'This Man'??" The moment someone thinks like that, they're already in the wrong. People say to blame the company, but don't the members see the concept drafts or ideas beforehand? Wasn't the album released with the members' approval? We never said the concept or the font was ours, we're just saying that it looks similar..;;

SEVENTEEN's fans are currently accusing PLAVE of plagiarism, saying that the concept is similar to SEVENTEEN Sub-Unit's album.

If you check the official account, it's in complete chaos.

They claim that the wanted poster and the phrase 'Have you ever seen this man? (boy?)' were directly copied (from SEVENTEEN)

theqoo

-I remember SHINee's 'Don't Call Me' teaser also had a "Have you seen...?" phrase and a newspaper concept. If that's the case, then aren't they plagiarizing SHINee too??

-Where is this fight even happening...? Why don't I see it on my Timeline? If I ever come across it, I should stop them.

-Hmm... The poster designs are different. I don't agree with them if they're only claiming similarity in the text and atmosphere.

-Maybe they've never seen an actual newspaper before.

-What's wrong with them? It's not even similar at all. This type of concept is so f*cking common.

-Are the fans like... super young... ? Or are they boomer?

-Please tell me this is a joke...;;;;;

-Huh? I'm a SEVENTEEN's fan, but I don't know why they're making a fussㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Why is this even an issue?

-Do they seriously think that's plagiarism...?

-The layout isn't even identical... Why is it plagiarism...?

-I don't see any single SEVENTEEN's fan claiming plagiarism on my timeline... Why is the OP generalizing all fans and making a big deal out of this?ㅋㅋ

-But honestly, SEVENTEEN's Twt stans seem to really hate PLAVE. I'm always surprised when I see their hate tweets.

-Seems like they copied New York Times first, then.

-How is this even plagiarism...?

-ㅎ PLAVE is making a comeback on February 3rd. Please give them lots of love.

QWER wins the Best Band Award at KGMA 2024...🤔

 The judging criteria is: judge's evaluation 20% + achievements 45% + votes 35%.

However, they still managed to beat DAY6 and PLAVVE with just 0.57% votes.

PLAVVE, who is also nominated in this category, is not even a band to begin with. Since the Best Band award is being distributed over two days, if DAY6 wins tomorrow, PLAVVE's fandom is outright scammed.

This awards show shamelessly cashes in on fans’ money without any credibility or integrity.

BEST BAND

Awarded to artists of outstanding band songs based on KGMA's criteria during the evaluation period.

Judge's evaluation (20%) + Streaming/album sales/IS Media points (45%) + Fancast fan votes (35%)

theqoo

-Did they just add a group with big fandom to the nominees to milk money through paid votes? Judging by how they put PLAVE in the band category just shows how insincere they are. Fans must find this very absurd. Even as someone who just heard about this award show for the first time, I find it absurd.

-Shouldn't this award show be investigated too?

-It doesn't make sense how they beat DAY6 even with both votes and achievements...? And putting PLAVE in the band category really makes it show that they're just trying to milk money through paid votes...

-PLAVE's fans got scammed...

-Since when was PLAVE a band?

-This is ridiculous.

-These bastards are f*cking disgusting. They're basically exploiting fans' feelings for their own profit. Isn't this a scam?

-PLAVE's fans must be really pissed off... I feel sorry for them... They got scammed...

-They're exploiting the fans' efforts. We need to get rid of paid votes.

-This award show is getting a lot of criticism...

-Isn't this a scam?

-Shouldn't this be reported??? Look at the vote differences. They're going overboard with this one.

-Why is PLAVE in the band category? And based on the criteria, DAY6 not winning this award just doesn't make any sense at all.

-Are you kidding me?

-Putting PLAVE in this category is the weirdest part. PLAVE is not even a band to begin with. If they're gonna rig this award, they shouldn't have added PLAVE to the nominees in the first place.

-Isn't this a scam?? The fans should demand refunds.

-Only 213 votes...? Their fans aren't spending money at all...

-PLAVE is not even a band...????ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Putting DAY6 in the nominees here is just like mocking them...

-Isn't this a scam? If this is how they're gonna run things, why hold votings in the first place?

7 boy groups who received 10,000 likes within an hour of release in 2024

 Seventeen - MAESTRO (20,205)

NCT Dream - Smoothie (14,409)

Jungkook - Never Let Go (14,302) (Released Friday at 1 PM)

PLAVE - WAY 4 LUV (12,305)

TXT - Deja Vu (11,579)

RIIZE - Boom Boom Bass (11,370)

Mark - 200 (11,033)

-For male idols, the number of likes received within an hour of release is a key indicator of their domestic fandom size, because people don't usually listen to the song as soon as it is released, let alone pressing like. This is because it shows the dedication of core fans who listen to the music and give hearts immediately.

-Initially, many were skeptical of this theory, but as it has proven accurate over time, it has gained recognition.

-For female idols, due to their higher general public appeal, many non-fans also give hearts, making the initial heart count a less significant indicator.

theqoo

-PLAVE must have a lot of fans to get that many likes in just an hour

-The number of likes PLAVE received is really high...

-You should indicate the release times (1 PM or 6 PM) as it significantly affects the initial like counts.

-Wow, that's Mark's solo release, though... That's impressive.

-It seems like RIIZE is growing well.

-Does releasing at 1 PM on Friday give a boost?
ㄴNo, it’s actually a disadvantage. Most releases are at 6 PM.
ㄴIt’s a disadvantage. Releasing songs on Friday at 1 PM is rare since people are at work or school.
ㄴIdols releasing songs at 1 PM on Fridays are usually targeting for Billboard and international performance. For domestic music charts, it's a disadvantage.

-Wow... PLAVE

-For a song that was released on Friday, that's a really good number.

-Jungkook is amazing despite releasing that song on Friday at 1PM. PLAVE's like counts are insane, and Mark seems to have a really strong fanbase.

-What's wrong with the comments

-TXT's songs are really greatㅎㅎㅎ
