Singer Kim Heechul has personally adressed his temporary break from 'Knowing Bros.'
On the 3rd, Kim Heechul posted on his social media account, "Hey, friend. It's really not that serious."
This was a reply to a post made by Jang Sungkyu, who expressed his concern by saying, "I can't believe Heechul is leaving 'Knowing Bros.'"
Kim Heechul said, "I've been getting a lot of concerned calls from people I know," adding, "As Hodong Hyung says, 'For viewers, it's 6PM. But for us, it's 4AM.' I don't want to show my exhaustion, tiredness, or blank expressions to the viewers. That's why I'm taking some time to refill my HP."
He continued, "We film every Thursday. The production team and the Hyungs are very considerate of me when I have overseas schedule, but I can't keep doing that or show up inconsistently, so I decided to take a break. I'll continue with bi-weekly programs as their schedules are easier to coordinate."
Kim Heechul added, "'Knowing Bros' is a very precious program to me. Since my friend Kim Shinyoung joined, I'm able to rest with a peaceful mind. Please enjoy 'Knowing Bros,' which will become even more fun with our 'Prince Jumong' Shinyoung-ie. Please stay healthy until the day we meet again."
Meanwhile, JTBC announced on April 30, "Kim Shinyoung has joined 'Knowing Bros' as a new fixed member. Kim Heechul will take a temporary break for health reasons starting from episode 528 airing on May 9." Kim Heechul has been a regular cast member of 'Knowing Bros' for over 10 years since 2015.
