Minnie personally addressed the rumors of her being from a wealthy family in Thailand and confirmed that her family's wealth is beyond imagination.
On the 5th, a video titled '[EN] I didn't know she'd reveal this much (ft. lie detector) | EP.03 i-dle Miyeon Minnie | Truman Show' was uploaded to Youtube. In the video, comedian Lee Youngjin appeared as the MC, with Miyeon and Minnie as guests.
Lee Yongjin asked Minnie, "I heard your family members are very powerful. Is it true that you own three houses in Thailand, complete with gyms, parks, and even a private fortune teller?" Minnie humbly replied, "Some parts of the articles were a bit exaggerated." However, when pressed for specific facts, she eventually nodded in confirmation. She admitted, "It's true that we have three houses," but clarified, "Rather than a park, it's more like a large garden. And instead of a gym, we have a separate 'fitness room' in the house for working out."
Regarding the 'private fortune teller' in question, Minnie said, "Not personal, but a dedicated fortune teller for my family." She also confirmed that her mother runs a resort and her uncle is a famous pianist in Thailand, proving that she's from a 'chaebol-level' family. Lee Yongjin then jokingly asked, "Did you become an idol just as a hobby?" Without hesitation, Minnie replied, "Absolutely not," and the lie detector showed her answer was 'true,' proving her sincerity toward her idol and music career.
Meanwhile, i-dle made a comeback on the 27th of last month with the digital single 'Mono (feat. Skaiwater)' and proved their influence by taking first place on Mnet's MCountdown in the first week of February.
