EXO's side has released a rebuttal to CBX's recent statement.
On the 29th, SM Ent. stated, "We have made it clear to the three members that agreeing to end the legal dispute and participating in group activities are two separate issues."
SM Ent. continued, "Regarding ending the dispute, we have won every legal conflict so far. The only thing we demanded from the three members was for them to pay 10% of their individual activity revenue, as set out in the original agreement from 18 June 2023. This payment has not yet been made." They added, "As for group activities, as the trust between both sides has been severely damaged through numerous disputes and because EXO as a group, its members, and fans were deeply hurt, it is only natural that the three members show genuine effort to rebuild trust by fulfilling the existing contract."
SM Ent. added, "The three members' claim that they clearly accepted all of SM Ent.'s conditions after the second mediation on October 2 is false. They actually filed an objection on the 16th, contrary to their claims. We find it deeply regrettable that their statement today distorts these facts," adding, "We will give our full support and effort to EXO's activities this December."
Earlier today, CBX's agency, INB100, stated, "After the second mediation session, we accepted all conditions SM Ent. presented and clearly expressed our intention to reach an agreement. We cleared all personal schedules for December and were waiting for SM Ent.'s final response. With the sincere desire for a full EXO group comeback, we plan to finalize the agreement soon."
