The first mediation hearing is set to take place on the 23rd at 2.45 PM at the Seoul Eastern District Court.
Previously, in June last year, SM Ent. filed a lawsuit against EXO CBX, claiming, "Their exclusive contracts are still valid." The complaint reportedly stated, "We can no longer tolerate the unreasonable behavior from CBX's side."
In response, CBX filed a countersuit, stating that they hadn't properly received settlement data. Through their agency INB100, they argues that "SM Ent. failed to keep their promise of 5.5% distribution fee rate for albums and digital sales." They also argued that the agreement to pay 10% of their individual earnings was unfair.
-I wonder what's going to happen...
-When is EXO going to have a comeback?
-I hope they can part ways without any troubles.
-How many years has this lawsuit been going on? 3 years?
-If they were going to leave the company, they shouldn't have renewed their contracts. I hope SM Ent. wins this.
-They should've just not renew their contract and left SM Ent. in the first place.
-I can't help but to side with SM Ent. on this one.
-I'm rooting for SM Ent.
-I just don't get it...
-They have lots of money... Why don't they just pay the penalty and leave?
-Is a contract a joke to them?
-All this mess over 600 M KRW...
-Honestly, I kinda feel bad for SM Ent. on this. I hope SM Ent. wins.
-I'm curious about the result.
-Never thought I'd see the day I'm rooting for SM Ent.
