-That's right... Even Super Junior doesn't have any members born in the 90sㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I feel like ENHYPEN debuted quite a while ago, but all of the members are born in the 2000s.

-Yeah... That's because Super Junior members were born in the 80sㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I was like, 'But there's Super Juniorㅡㅡ' Then I read the comments and googled itㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Even Kyuhyun was born in 1988ㅋㅋㅋ

-Rightㅋㅋㅋ The youngest member in Super Junior was born in 1988ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Well... You're not wrongㅋㅋㅋ

-Super Juniorㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I had to stop and think for a secondㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Ah f*ckㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I had to pause to process that.

-Well... None of them was born in 1990s, but there are some who were born in the 1980s...

-Super Junior is so freaking old... They are all born in the 1980s... So they're all over 50?

EXO's ex-member Tao criticized for selling products during his own wedding livestream

https://naver.me/GGCexscI

Former EXO's member and Chinese singer Tao held a grand wedding with a former SM Rookies trainee and Chinese singer Xu Yiyang.

According to Chinese media outlets, Tao and Yiyang tied the knot in Beijing on the 16th. Tao drew attention by gifting his new bride a massive diamond ring.

Although the wedding was only attended by close family and friends, the livestream was watched by over 16 million viewers. The couple even held a giveaway to share their joy with fans. However, criticism arose when they also used the livestream to promote and sell products such as chocolates and alcoholic beverages. Many criticized the couple for turning their wedding into a commercial event.

theqoo

-That is really cheap of him... He's rich already, why is he acting like that?

-It's their own wedding anyway...

-He sells things during his wedding?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Selling products at your own wedding is genuinely a very unique and ridiculous idea.

-Their sense of business is definitely differentㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Since it's not my own business, I just find it funnyㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-That is so f*cking Chinese of himㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Yiyang...? Is she the SM Rookies trainee I know?

-It's his wedding. He can do what ever he wantsㅋㅋ

-It's just like Youtubers turning on donations during their own wedding livestream, right?

-He already has so much money, though..

-But still... A lot of people watched the livestreamㅋㅋ

-Even if just 1% of the viewers bought it, that's already 160,000 peopleㄷㄷ

-If both of them are happy with it, is there any reason to criticize?

-I wonder if marriage is just a business to him.

-Rich people always want more. That's how they get rich.

-16 million viewersㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ The scale in China is insanely huge.

Court upholds fine against Min Heejin over workplace harassment case

Court has ruled that the fine imposed on ADOR former CEO Min Heejin by the Ministry of Employment and Labor for workplace harassment will remain in place.

On the 16th, Judge Jung Cheolmin of the Seoul Western District Court announced that Min Heejin's objection to the fine issued by the Ministry of Employment and Labor had been dismissed. As a result, the fine remains valid. However, if Min Heejin files a further objection, a formal trial will be held. Min Heejin's side stated, "The court found that the fine imposition was partially incorrect and reduced the amount. We believe there are still errors in the court's findings. We will address this again in a formal trial."

Last year, an employee who resigned from ADOR reported Min Heejin for workplace harassment to HYBE. The employee later filed a complaint with the Ministry of Labor, claiming that Min Heejin verbally abused her and sided with the harasser. The Ministry of Employment and Labor concluded that Min Heejin committed to workplace harassment and as an employer failed to conduct an objective investigation, leading to the fine notification. The exact amount of the fine was not disclosed.

She technically won part of the case, but there are like... 50 articles saying that she lost. Even Bang Sihyuk didn't get this much coverage. I wonder if this is some kind of a media play.

theqoo

-If she really did harass an employee, she should be punished.

-But still... She harassed an employee.

-What are you talking about...?

-Min Heejin's cult is still acting like this, huh?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I don't know who's doing the media play here, but I hope the victim gets proper compensation in civil court...

-I'm surprised people are still voluntarily defending Min Heejin. Is this some kind of a cult or what?

-This case is separate from the Min Heejin vs HYBE conflict. This one clearly has a victim.

-I get that people hate Bang Sihyuk and wish HYBE would flop, but this case shouldn't be tied to that.

-What is Min Heejin to you that you're defending her like this? I'm genuinely curious.

-Whoa... She's still harassing the victim. That's insane.

-She should start by apologizing to the victim.

-She still hasn't apologized???

-What does this even have to do with Bang Sihyuk?

-I hope she experiences what she did to others.

W Korea on breast cancer campaign controversy: 'We have nothing to say'

https://www.tvdaily.co.kr/read.php3?aid=17606842111766491002

Korean fashion magazine W Korea is facing criticism over their recent charity event. However, the magazine still hasn't issued any statement. On the evening of the 15th, the magazine held a breast cancer awareness campaign at the Four Seasons Hotel in Jongno, Seoul, attended by numerous celebrities and influencers.

W Korea held the 'Love Your W' charity event to raise awareness of breast cancer risks and support prevention and treatment. However, the actual event was criticized for lacking meaningful awareness messages and issues regarding the transparency around how donated funds were used.

W Korea has annually promoted the event as the 'largest charity event in South Korea.' However, the actual donations were surprisingly low compared to the glamorous event. The magazine reported to have donated about 1.1 billion KRW over the past 20 years. In contrasts, the Korea Breast Cancer Foundation's 'Pink Run,' has donated about 4.2 billion KRW over the past 24 years, which is about 4 times the amount W Korea donated.

Even the details of how donations were spent have not been transparently disclosed. All the magazine stated was that they provided breast cancer screening for about 500 people. It is reported that this year, fashion brands contributed around 30 million KRW each and jewelry brands around 5 million KRW each. With 29 participating brands, estimate suggests the total donations should near 1 billion KRW, yet records show annual donations around only 50 million KRW, leading to questions are being raised about the remaining funds.

Despite raising billions of KRW under the banners of 'charity' and 'breast cancer awareness' and using celebrities to attract donations, W Korea had not prompted any official statement regarding the series of controversies. A representative of the event told reporters, "We have nothing to say regarding the event and we haven't been contacted separately since the controversy," declining further comment.

theqoo

-Wow... How shameless.

-"Raising awareness of breast cancer risks and support prevention and treatment"?????? When did that actually happen?? All they did was promote luxury brands.

-They've been running this event for over 10 years, but only 500 people? And that was for screening, not treatment?ㅋ That's basically just health checkups for their own staff.

-We should report this to the police.

-Are they using breast cancer to get money from brands and use celebrities for free PR?? And this has been going on for 20 years??

-Let’s report this to the authorities and have it investigated.

-Let's investigate and audit them. Then maybe they'll start talking.

-Who and where should we file a complaint about this?

-They'll definitely never apologizeㅋㅋ

-Reveal where all the donations went to.

-Investigate them.

-Shut them down.

-So cowardly.

-Disclose the donations transparently. This is suspicious. We should report them.

'Breast cancer charity event controversy' ... W Korea donated 300 M KRW to Korea Breast Cancer Foundation over 17 years

Korean fashion magazine W Korea, which hosted a breast cancer awareness campaign on October 19 for World Breast Cancer Day, is under fire for allegedly holding 'a party in the name of charity.' The magazine claimed to have donated 1.1 billion KRW in total, but the actual amount given to the Korea Breast Cancer Foundation over 17 years was confirmed to be only 300 M KRW.

According to data submitted by Rep. Lee Soojin of Democratic Party to the National Assembly Health and Welfare Committee on the 17th, W Korea donated a total of 315.69 million KRW between 2007 and November 2024. Annual donations peaked at 42.82 million KRW in 2012, dropped to 5 million KRW in 2016, and no donations made from 2017 to 2023. In 2024, they donated 125.3 million KRW.

Since 2006, W Korea has hosted the annual 'Love Your W' to raise breast cancer awareness and emphasize the importance of early detection. On its website, W Korea describes the event as 'the largest charity event in South Korea,' stating to 'support the activities of Korea Breast Cancer Foundation with donated proceeds and also support screening and treatment costs for women and low-income individuals through participation campaigns.' They claimed to have donated a total of 1.1 billion KRW and provided specialized medical checkups for 500 women. However, records show much smaller contributions.

'Love Your W' is usually held at luxury hotels in Seoul, sponsored by major fashion brands that donate money or products that celebrities and influencers wear on a photo wall. This year's event was held at the Four Seasons Hotel on the 15th. Dispatch reported that 29 luxury brands, including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci participated in the donation. It is estimated that W Korea collected nearly 1 billion KRW in donations this year.

This is the reason why critics argue that the actual donation amount is excessively small compared to the scale of the event's operation costs. For reference, the '2025 Pink Run' hosted by several major health organizations on the 12th collected a total of 192.59 million KRW. Furthermore, the 'Pink Run', which started in 2021, has raised a total of 4.3 billion KRW in donations up to this year.

Above all, there is criticism about how an event where celebrities gather for congratulatory performances and drink champagne can improve breast cancer awareness. This year, W Korea set the dress code as 'party look' and restricted minors due to alcohol being served. The magazine's Instagram was also filled with videos of celebrity performances and viral challenges. There were only few visible references to pink ribbons or breast cancer awareness messages, contradicting the purpose of the campaign which fueled the controversy.

As glamorous photos from the event circulated online, netizens criticized the event for being 'unrelated to improve breast cancer awareness.' Some others saying that the event 'is hurtful to the actual breast cancer patients,' and pointed out, 'What does drinking alcohol have to do with preventing breast cancer?'

Rep. Lee Soojin stated, "I understand the public's anger toward this thoughtless private event. As a member of the Health and Welfare Committee, I will continue to work with the government to expand support for women suffering from breast cancer."

Meanwhile, the number of breast cancer patients in South Korea has been rapidly increasing every year. According to the statistics, the number increased five times from 5,890 patients in 1999 to 29,528 patients in 2022. This increase is notable compared to the 2.8 times increase in the total number of overall cancer cases over the same period.

1. [+107][-0] Hul... They lied about the donation amount? What kind of nerve do they have in this day and age?ㅋㅋ

2. [+44][-0] The National Tax Service should probably audit them. Donations are all digitized now. How much did they pocket? And how much did they receive from the brand sponsorships?... Is this why they never sold the magazine?

3. [+37][-0] At this point, I'm starting to suspect W Korea...

4. [+17][-0] Considering they promoted it as the biggest charity event in the country, this is cruel. Where exactly did all that donation money go?

5. [+12][-0] Calling it a breast cancer charity event when it's just famous celebrities drinking and partying like it's a club? No wonder there was a huge drop in donations. Get rid of events like this. They should hold charity marathons instead. Even if they have a good intention, partying like they're in a club is not the way to do it.

Viewer ratings of the Korean remake of Japanese drama 'The Confidence Man JP' (Confidence Queen)

-Not gonna lie, I didn't even know it was already airing.

-The cast lineup is great, but I feel like there was almost no promotion. And the channel itself is a barrier.

-Is the story the same as the Japanese version?

-It’s already at episode 10?

-The drama itself doesn't fit Korean's taste.

-The cast lineup is really solid, though.

-I haven't even seen news about this drama, so I thought it already ended.

-I have no idea when or where it’s airing...

-I should watch it today. I really liked the Japanese versionㅋㅋ I like cheesy stuff.

-The cast lineup is great, but I didn’t even know it was on.

-0%... It seems like no one’s watching it.

-It's so f*cking childish. The scams don't even make sense. Everything is just kinda sloppily done.

-This is when I realized that Japanese dramas don't fit Koreans' taste.
