Former LABOUM member Yulhee has started the second chapter of her career as an actress.

On the 23rd, Yulhee posted a photo on her personal account without any caption.

In the picture, Yulhee is seen with a short haircut, wearing a tweed jacket and an ID badge. This picture appears to be from the filming set of a short-form drama 'My Partner is the Devil.'

'My Partner is the Devil' is a drama about a woman whose life is ruined and makes a deal with the devil to seek revenge on her betraying fiancé. The series is set to be released this March on the streaming platform 'Alwayz.'

Yulhee married FT Island member Choi Minhwan in 2018 and had one son and two daughters before divorcing in December 2023.

In October of last year, 10 months after her divorce, Yulhee revealed that Choi Minhwan had frequently visited adult entertainment establishments during their marriage and sexually harassed her in front of their family, creating significant controversy.

Choi Minhwan was reported to the police for violations of the Anti-Prostitution Act and forcible harassment, but the police didn't press charges due to insufficient evidence to support the allegations.

In response, Choi Minhwan stated that the reason for their divorce was Yulhee running away from home about 20 times and her irregular sleep patterns of 18 to 20 hours a day. Yulhee has not made any further statements regarding this.

In November last year, Yulhee filed a petition with the Seoul Family Court, seeking to change the custodial rights of her children, along with claims for alimony and property division.

Actress Lee Yidam, who has gained popularity through the hit drama 'The Queen Who Crowns,' has confirmed her next project.

According to industry insiders on the 24th, Lee Yidam has been cast in the new drama 'Asura Balbalta.' Following her role in Netflix’s upcoming series 'Can This Love Be Translated?' this marks her second confirmed project consecutively.

'Asura Balbaltaa' is a heartwarming drama that follows the story of three comedians chasing their dreams and a woman whose life has fallen apart, as they come together to rediscover their dreams. The filming is scheduled to begin this year and will be directed by Jung Jihyun, the director of 'Dear Hyeri.' It will be produced by Studio Dragon, although the release platform and release date are yet to be announced.

Lee Yidam is currently showing a strong presence in the tvN x TVING original drama 'The Queen Who Crowns.' She plays the role of Chaeryeong, the maid of Wongyeong (Played by Cha Jooyoung), realistically portraying the character's unpredictable aspects, driving the drama's popularity.

Lee Yidam, who debuted in 2017, has shown her potential through dramas like 'Artificial City' and 'BlackKnight'. She also gained attention by being nominated for Best New Actress at the 60th Bakesang Arts Awards for her role as Min Deul-re in 'Daily Dose of Sunshine.'

Dispatch wins 'Journalist of the Month' award for reporting Song Mino's public service duties neglect

Dispatch’s social and entertainment journalists Kim Jiho and Kim Sojung have won the 412th Journalist of the Month Award (Category 2: Investigative Reporting).

The Korean Journalists Association (President Park Jong-hyun) held the 412th Journalist of the Month Award ceremony at the Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul at 11 AM on the 23rd. A total of 9 entries were selected for the award.

JTBC won the first category for investigative reporting for their coverage of the sexual harassment case at Lotteria, while Dispatch won the second category for investigative reporting. Meanwhile, KBS Chuncheon won the broadcasting category for their documentary.

Dispatch's award-winning report, "Tracking Public Service Duty Negligence by a K-pop Idol," exposed WINNER's Song Mino for neglecting his public service duties. Reporters Kim Jiho and Kim Sojung also highlighted vulnerabilities in the attendance reporting system.

The two journalists also urged the need to implement electronic recording systems like attendance cards in their report. Following Dispatch's report, the Military Manpower Administration immediately responded and launched an investigation into the public service negligence.

The police are currently investigating Song Mino for alleged violations of the Military Service Act. On the 6th the 'Song Mino Prevention Act' was introduced. The Mayor of Seoul City, Oh Sehun, also ordered an emergency investigation into the status of public service workers.

Actor Joo Jihoon is expected to portray the role of royalty once again, following his roles in 'Goong' and 'Kingdom.'

According to a report by IZE on the 24th, Joo Jihoon has been offered to play the role of the emperor of the Eastern Empire in the fantasy romance titled 'The Remarried Empress' and is positively considering the offer. His agency cautiously responded, saying, "It's true that he received the offer and is considering it, but nothing has been confirmed yet."

'The Remarried Empress' is based on a popular web novel with the same title. It tells the story of Navier, the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire, who is divorced by her husband, Emperor Sovieshu, due to his infidelity. Later, she remarries the prince of the Western Kingdom, Heinrey, becoming an empress once again. The series has gained a strong fanbase and is also being serialized as a Webtoon.

The role that Joo Jihoon is positively considering is Sovieshu, the emperor of Eastern Empire and also Navier's first husband. He is the character at the root of the dramatic conflict in 'The Remarried Empress,' portrayed as a 'bad boy' but also as a charming character.

Previously, Shin Minah has been confirmed to play the role of Navier, while Lee Jongsuk is being considered to take the role of her second husband. If Joo Jihoon joins the cast, it is expected to result in a 'golden casting' with a perfect 100% synchronization to the characters in the original work.
