Leeteuk reveals the reason why most of the outfits for the SMTOWN concert were reused

 

Leeteuk: People are asking whether the outfits at SMTOWN Concert were reused, but this concert actually didn't have a large production budget. If we produce new outfits, it's either going to be taken from the funds for our promotional activities or we bear the cost ourselves. Besides, the number of shows isn't that high anyway. Producing new outfits can cost hundreds of thousands of won.

The reason why I keep explaining this is because this could cause a misunderstanding. If I don't speak up, the stylists will get all the blame.

As the cost of producing outfits is deducted from the concert production budget or the funds for our promotional activities, it would be a waste to make expensive outfits that we only wear once.

That's why we sometimes reuse outfits for some events. We have reasons for reusing outfits, and if we think we've reused it too much, we'll speak up and say, 'This isn't right!'

Please understand the circumstances behind this decision regarding the outfits.

I can totally understand Leeteuk's point. Producing too many clothes can harm the environment... So it's completely understandable to reuse outfits for group concerts like SMTOWN Concert.

Onew's agency manager (CEO)'s Instagram post seems to be targeting SM Ent.

 

Winter single, digital release, SMTOWN stage, mini&concert.
